It’s also time for winter sports at Minarets High School. The field has been repainted and the volleyball nets have been put away, because soccer and basketball are getting started.

In the gym this year, the girls’ team coaches are Kris Pearson and Dee Kamalani. Coaching the boys’ teams are Chris Bedolla, Peter Conti, and Paul Varner.

Though at first it was tough to gain traction and up player numbers, as the season approaches the boys have been able to pull together two teams. The JV and Varsity rosters total 22 boys. The girls have one Varsity roster of 11.
