High School Senioritis Cured By Graduation

Submitted by Ashley Worgull

O’NEALS – With Minarets High School graduation taking place on Thursday, June 4, seniors have busy, faced with final projects, senior projects/presentations, and the fact that high school is coming to end.

Many of us have also had to deal with the additional aspect of college.

That means finding roommates, applying for scholarships, dealing with grueling, tedious orientations, and planning our futures. The overall experience is bittersweet to say the least. Whereas some individuals are reluctant to begin a new chapter, others are ready to go. Whether it’s finding the perfect song to walk to, or finishing up last minute work, it all adds a little more to the “to-do list” that is senior year.

While stressful, there are some upsides to being a senior. Such as a fancy cap and gown, and a big ceremony, of course.

For othe last three months, seniors have been known to say things such as “I’m so done” and “I can’t wait to get out of here!” They’ve been known to show up to class wearing various questionable attire such as: sweatpants, yoga pants, and old t- shirts/ hoodies, which all look as though they haven’t been washed in weeks. In other words, the class of 2015 has had a bad case of “senioritis,” and the only cure is graduation.

Congratulations to the Class of 2015! Minarets Graduation is Thursday, June 4 at 7:30 p.m.
