BASS LAKE – It’s a sure sign that summer is just around the corner – the season opening on Friday, Mar 29, of two popular local lakeside businesses, The Forks Resort and Miller’s Landing Resort.
The Forks will be celebrating their 72nd season and Miller’s Landing marks season number 38.
The Forks and Miller’s Landing are both long-time favorites on the lake where locals and visitors can enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner inside or outside on the patio, enjoying the spectacular views of Bass Lake. Dogs are welcome.

“I am very excited The Forks Resort and Miller’s Landing Resort will open for the season,” said Therese Williams, Public Relations Director of Visit Yosemite |Madera County. “You’ll find friendly people and great food. With their opening, the smell of spring and the anticipation of summer fun are here.”
Both offer cabins perfect for families or groups looking to stay together, a very well-stocked general store offering visitors the convenience of buying groceries and other supplies on site, as well as boat rentals and more.

In addition to Miller’s Landing and The Forks, Bass Lake offers another full-service resort which is open all year, namely The Pines Resort, complete with onsite dining at Ducey’s On the Lake, Ducey’s Bar and Grill, plus The Pines Market and Deli, and The Pines Bar.
Only steps away from The Pines Resort are Bass Lake Boat Rentals and Marina Burger, both open year-round.
If camping under the stars is your style, there are plenty of camping options around the lake. While camping is not for everyone, not to worry – Bass Lake offers numerous rental homes and cabins, some right on the lakefront with docks.

Fall in love with Bass Lake and you may consider browsing in the window at Bass Lake’s Century 21 Ditton Realty or Bass Lake Realty. For those in search of souvenirs or sustenance, The Pines Village offers a good variety of shops and restaurants.
Other businesses in the region are getting ready to open for the season as well. The historic Shay locomotives of the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad will begin running on Saturday, Apr. 6.

Popular events at Bass Lake include the annual Bass Lake Fishing Derby on May 4 and 5, Yosemite Half Marathon on May 11, the annual Antique and Classic Wooden Boat Show on May 18, Farmers Market Every Wednesday May 15 – Sept. 25, Bass Lake Yosemite Triathlon & 5k Fun Run, the Smokey Bear Run/Walk on Sept. 21, and Light Up The Sky with Bass Lake’s Annual Fireworks Show on the 4th of July.
