Meltwater Bridge And Tarantula Play Music On The Green

MARIPOSA — Meltwater Bridge is the featured band on Friday, July 5 for Mariposa Arts Council’s Music on the Green Summer Concert Series, and Tarantula is the featured artist on Saturday, July 6 at the Mariposa County Art Park.

Meltwater Bridge on Friday, July 5

Meltwater Bridge showcases local folk musician/songwriter staple Gail Dreifus backed by a full band. Playing mostly original songs along with some blues and rock classics, the band features harmony singing, electric bass, electric and acoustic guitars and drums.

Tarantula on Saturday, July 6

Tarantula featuring Andy Roberts has been at the heart of the Mariposa music scene for twenty years, playing for the Arts Council’s Music on the Green for the last fifteen years straight in several different musical collaborations. Banjer/guitarist and singer/songwriter, Tarantula is the founder of the band The Trespassers and producer for Music on the Green. Tarantula will be joined by singer/songwriter Hank Lamar on guitar, Jared Jesperson on mandolin and Kaye Jesperson on cello.

Shows start at 7 p.m.

All performances begin at 7 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) at the Mariposa County Art Park, located on Hwy. 140, between 4th and 5th Streets, in historic downtown Mariposa, CA. Free parking on 5th Street along the Creek Walkway to the Park, also providing handicapped access.
