Mel Barker Campaign Announces “Whiskey on the Water” Fundraiser at Bass Lake

BASS LAKE, Calif. — Supporters from across Madera County are invited to enjoy an evening of live music, great food, and community at Whiskey on the Water, a fundraiser benefiting Mel Barker’s campaign for Madera County District 5 Supervisor.
The event will be held at The Pines Resort Lakefront Deck/Gazebo Lawn on Thursday, September 3rd, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Guests will enjoy a relaxed lakeside atmosphere while learning more about Barker’s vision for District 5 and connecting with neighbors from throughout the county.
The evening will feature live entertainment by the Whiskey Creek Band, buffet hors d’oeuvres, a no-host bar with specialty cocktails, fire pits, yard games, and lakeside views. Guests arriving early will also enjoy complimentary passed bubbly from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., while supplies last. S’mores packs will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
“Whiskey on the Water is about bringing people together,” said Barker. “Whether you’ve supported me from the beginning or are just getting to know me, I hope you’ll join us for an evening of conversation, community, and a shared commitment to the future of District 5.”
A Navy veteran, local business owner, and longtime community leader, Barker is campaigning on a platform centered around public safety, responsible fiscal leadership, infrastructure improvements, economic development, and strengthening the quality of life throughout Madera County.
General admission tickets are $50, with VIP Tables at $500 and a Donor Gazebo Sponsorship at $5,000.
Guests are encouraged to embrace the evening’s “Lakeside Luxury” dress code, adding to the elegant yet relaxed atmosphere overlooking beautiful Bass Lake.
