Meet The Sierra National Forest OHV Teams, Bring The Kids

CLOVIS —The Bass Lake and High Sierra Ranger Districts of the Sierra National Forest will be offering several opportunities this summer for people to learn about OHV use on the National Forest; how to safely recreate, protect the natural resources, and maximize the enjoyment of Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) recreation.

Free educational material will be available, and there will be fun activities and safety material for children.

Meet with the Sierra National Forest OHV teams on the following dates and locations this summer:

Bass Lake Ranger District (BLRD):

Location for all three BLRD events is Kamook Staging Area in Miami Trails.

  • Friday, June 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Wednesday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Friday, August 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

High Sierra Ranger District (HSRD):

Location for the three HSRD events is Bald Base Camp in Tamarack Area (~5 miles Southeast of Tamarack Snow Park).

  • Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 4 and 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 1 and 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
