MCSO Deputies Collar Wanted Car Thief

OAKHURST — A suspect wanted on multiple car theft charges was apprehended by eagle-eyed sheriff’s deputies yesterday while she was driving north of Oakhurst.

On Friday, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office POP Team spotted 38-year-old Jessica Lee as she drove on Road 620 near Highway 41.

Lee was wanted for two outstanding felony arrest warrants.

The first warrant out of Fresno County for auto theft, possession of stolen property and driving without a license with a $65,000 bail. The second warrant was out of Tulare County for grand theft and violation of probation with a $35,000 bail.

Additionally, when deputies took Lee into custody, she was discovered to be in possession of methamphetamine.

She was booked for the additional Madera County charge.
