OAKHURST – The Madera County Sheriff’s Office continues to host events through the rest of the week to help everyone sign up for MCAlert.
Three more opportunities are available in Oakhurst for people to ask questions and get assistance in making sure they are registered to be alerted in the event of an emergency such as the Courtney Fire.
DATE: Wednesday, September 17
TIME: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
PLACE: Oakhurst Community Center (located at 39800 Road 425B in Oakhurst) Madera Sheriff Public Information Officer Erica Stuart will assist those who still need to sign up.
DATE: Thursday, September 18
TIME: 4 to 7 p.m.
PLACE: True Value (located on West Lake Drive, off Highway 49 in Oakhurst)
DATE: Friday September 19
TIME: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
PLACE: Grocery Outlet (located on Junction Drive, off Highway 49 in Oakhurst
Citizens can also call 559-675-7770 for assistance in registering with Mc-Alert. Homeowners and business owners can also sign up by logging onto www.mcalert.org If you have a cell phone, be sure to add that number with your contact information.
Also, the American Red Cross is hosting a Resource Fair for citizens impacted by the Courtney fire.
