May Dollar Days At Cause 4 Paws

OAKHURST — Spread the word! Local thrift shop, A Cause 4 Paws, is making room for new summer inventory by offering big savings to shoppers. All winter items in the store are $1, including sweaters, scarves, beanies and mittens.

Jackets are 50 percent off, as well as all snow gear items like boots, poles, gloves, pants, jumpsuits, and skis. Owner Vicki Deane says this blow-out sale will last until May 31.

As regular customers may already know, all military personnel receive a 25 percent discount on all purchases. The only exclusions to all of these discounts are on the purchase of consignment items.

Animal lovers and others, please remember that the store is collecting empty cans, bottles and glass containers. These items will be recycled and, at the end of the month, all proceeds will be donated to the store’s spay and neuter program. Foothill residents are encouraged to collect their recyclables in plastic bags and to bring their donations any time during the month.

For every 13-gallon bag or a single equivalent donation the donor will receive a $10 punch on their Frequent Buyer card. When the card is full, it can be traded for free merchandise at the thrift store.

The thrift shop is locally known as a cat rescue and they have found homes for more than 500 abandoned cats and kittens.

Cause 4 Paws also donates a $500 college scholarship to a local graduating high school senior each year called the “Future Veterinarian Award.” This year’s recipient is Lucina Montoya, Yosemite High School Class of 2017.
