MARIPOSA — The Mariposa County Courthouse is the oldest courthouse in the state, and west of the Rocky Mountains it’s the oldest courthouse still in use.
Now, the public is invited to stroll around the stately grounds and enjoy a blend of fine art and great wine, as Mariposa Yosemite Art and Wine Festival returns for its 13th year on Saturday, May 27.
From 11 a.m.. to 6 p.m. on the lawn around the courthouse, artists present a colorful and creative variety of wares while winemakers offer a flavorful taste of wine, in the welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere created by the Mariposa Yosemite Rotary Club.
“Gather your family and friends in the shade of the courthouse trees and enjoy the afternoon sharing lunch, listening to soft jazz, sampling wines and acquiring the fine wares of local artists,” say Rotary organizers.
