Mariposa Yosemite Hot Rod & Custom Car Show

MARIPOSA – The “Biggest and Best Show in the Sierra” hits the streets of Mariposa this weekend, featuring a Friday night cruise with photo ops, and a Saturday show.

Two hundred Custom Cars and Hot Rods will be on display at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. From Model A’s to a 1976 Chevy Truck, to a British Fire Truck, there are great rides for everyone to check out.

Custom cars, hot rods, mopars, under construction, rat rods, exotic race cars, foreign cars – you name it – this is a car show for everyone!

Over fifty awards will be presented including best in class, best paint, best engine, best interior, peoples choice awards, and more. Also enjoy great music, unique vendors, and fabulous food – all packed into one fantastic weekend.

The Mariposa Hot Rod, Classic and Custom Car Show is pleased to announce that Cherielynn Westrich will be Grand Marshal, Trophy Presenter and All Around Cool Gal for the annual show.

Bring your ride over to NAPA Auto Parts on Friday and get your picture taken with Cherielynn and your car. Then join the fun again on Saturday when Cherielynn will be signing autographs out at the fairgrounds.

The Rockin’ Tool Truck from NAPA auto parts will be at the Car Show on Saturday, featuring:

  • NAPA’s Largest Tool Truck
  • NAPA Foose Truck seen on the “Overhaulin” TV Show (built on the 2005 “Double Haulin'” episode)
  • NAPA Race Bike seen on the American Chopper TV Show built by OCC
  • Xbox NASCAR Race Experience
  • Automotive Equipment Demos
  • Welding Station
  • Diagnostics Center
  • T&E Manufacturer Reps

Friday evening, Oct. 17, from 4 to 6 p.m., is Cruise Night. Photographers will be on hand downtown, and they are closing off the street for the festivities. Have photos taken of your car in front of the quaint historic shops that date back to the Gold Rush era. Oh, and while you’re there, chose from over half a dozen restaurants. Everything from a malt shop, to a brewery to wine tasting, plus hamburgers, pizza, Mexican, Chinese, European and fine dining.

October is a beautiful time of year in the Sierra. Days are still warm and the leaves are changing color. Evenings are cool and the skies light up with stars. Hotel rates have dropped and the crowds inside Yosemite have thinned out from the summer. This is the perfect time to visit Mariposa!

The entire show is a family fun event, so bring the kids and plan on spending some time at the Mariposa Yosemite Hot Rod and Custom Car Show.
