Mariposa Man Arrested For Possession Of Meth

Robert WilsonMARIPOSA COUNTY — A Mariposa man is behind bars after being arrested for possession of methamphetamine and other charges.

On Jan. 23, the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office along with the Mariposa County Probation Department, conducted a compliance check on a home in the 4000 block on Ben Hur Road in Mariposa County.

During the search, deputies seized approximately a half-pound of methamphetamine along with two pistol magazines.

Robert Wilson, 63, was booked into the Mariposa County Adult Detention Facility, and is currently being held on charges of possession for sale of a controlled substance, felon in possession of ammunition, and misdemeanor probation violation.

His bail is currently set at $135,000.
