One-Way Traffic Control: Delays Expected On State Routes 49 and 140

MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct striping operations and bridge work next week on State Routes 49 and 140.

State Route 49
One-way traffic control on Route 49 from the Madera/Mariposa County line to Varain Road for striping operations beginning Sunday, July 11, through Friday, July 16, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Crews will perform drainage work and conduct one-way traffic control at the same location beginning Monday, July 12, through Friday, July 16, from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

One-way traffic control on Route 49 from Moccasin Creek to Bear Valley Road for drainage work beginning Monday, July 12, through Thursday, July 15, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.

State Route 140
One-way traffic control on Route 140 from the Bear Creek Bridge to Foresta Road for bridge work beginning Monday, July 12, through Friday, July 16, 2021, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 10-minute delays and take alternate routes whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
