MARIPOSA — The Mariposa County Fire Safe Council will be having their annual Fire Safe Rally on Sunday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Amigo Stage at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds.
The Rally will provide residents with information on wildfire preparedness and prevention, information about our current programs, and a chance to speak to Cal Fire, the USFS, and Mariposa County Fire.
The Rally will also feature a Wildland Fire Recovery Workshop.
Fire and natural resources specialists will be presenting on fire-related categories, such as invasive weed protection, erosion control, rangeland recovery, defensible space, resources for landowners, and more.
This is a family friendly event, and everyone is encouraged to join. Sonora Tacos will also be there for hungry Mariposa patrons. The Rally will also include a raffle giveaway for attendees including a weed eater and other related tools to maintain your defensible space.
