Man Wanted For Questioning In Officer-Involved Shooting Arrested

MADERA COUNTY – The Sheriff’s Office has learned that Kyle Snipes, who was wanted for questioning in connection with an officer-involved shooting near Millerton Lake last week, was arrested by the Roseville Police Department last night.

Snipes was taken into custody on a parole hold and a Fresno County warrant for narcotics and weapons charges.

Snipes was wanted for questioning in an incident in which a Fresno County Deputy Sheriff killed a suspect who reportedly pointed a rifle at officers.

Snipes had driven a stolen vehicle to the house where the deadly confrontation occurred, but fled the scene at some point during the incident, and officers were unable to locate him.

Snipes will be transported and booked into the Fresno County Jail on the warrant. There is an on-going investigation into his involvement with the stolen vehicle and the events surrounding the fatal shooting last Thursday.
