MARIPOSA — A 24-year-old man has been arrested by Mariposa County Sheriff’s deputies and is facing eight felony counts of child molestation.
On Thursday, Apr. 21, at 1 p.m., Michael L. Appling, of Monterey, Calif., was taken into custody for alleged crimes that are believed to have taken place in Mariposa County.
Appling was processed into the Mariposa County Adult Detention Facility. He is currently being held on a bail of $500,000.
The Mariposa County District Attorney’s Office will receive the crime report for filing consideration, according to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office.
