Madera Sheriff Searching For Missing At-Risk Man

MADERA -The Madera County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing at-risk adult.

**UPDATE: Missing at risk adult Sotero Diaz has been safely located, And is being reunited with his family in Madera.**

Sotero Diaz was last seen leaving his residence in the Bonadelle Ranchos area in Madera around 3:45a.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, and has not been seen or heard from by his family since.

Sotero has dementia and is unfamiliar with the area, says the Sheriff’s Office.

He departed in his vehicle along with his Maltese dog. He left his home without his wallet, cell phone, cash or credit/debit cards.

Sotero is a 78-year-old Hispanic male adult, with grey hair and brown eyes, 5’6” tall, and 190 pounds.

He wears prescription eyeglasses and was last seen wearing a tan sweater (as shown in the attached photo).

He is traveling in a red 2018 Hyundai Kona SUV, California license plate 8CMW195.

His white Maltese, named Marty, is with him, and may be wearing a red sweater (as seen in attached photo).
