MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Tuesday, August 20, to Monday, August 26, 2019.
Oakhurst Burglary
On Tuesday, August 20, at 9:49 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Oakhurst regarding a burglary. Report written, evidence obtained, and case forwarded to juvenile probation.
Ahwahnee Coroner’s Report
On Tuesday, August 20, at 8:53 p.m., a delayed Coroner’s case occurred in Ahwahnee. The primary physician is stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.
Coarsegold Coroner’s Report
On Thursday, August 22, at 6:27 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Coarsegold regarding a coroner’s report. Case to be forwarded to the Chief Deputy Coroner.
Oakhurst Vandalism
On Thursday, August 22, at 8:50 a.m., the Madera Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Oakhurst in response to broken glass at a business office. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. Case suspended due to lack of investigative leads.
Oakhurst Possible Sexual Assault
On Thursday, August 22, at 1:42 p.m., the Madera Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Oakhurst in regards to a possible sexual assault. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. Documentation only.
Oakhurst Narcotics Paraphernalia Arrest
On Friday, August 23, at 1:57 a.m., a deputy saw a subject that had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant showing in CLETS. After the subject was contacted the subject ran from the deputy but was later apprehended. The male subject was arrested for resisting and being in possession of drug
paraphernalia. The male was issued a citation with a court date and promised to appear.
Oakhurst Fraud Investigation
On Friday, August 23, at 12:17 p.m., the Madera Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation to report a fraud. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. A report was forwarded to detectives.
Oakhurst Narcotics Arrest
On Friday, August 23, at 10:31 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Oakhurst on a vehicle with equipment violations. The female driver and the male passenger were arrested on violation of probation terms and possession of methamphetamine and booked into the Madera County DOC.
Coarsegold Motor Vehicle Impound
On Saturday, August 24, at 3:29 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Coarsegold on a vehicle with expired registration. The vehicle was stored due to the vehicle being 3 years expired.
Oakhurst Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, August 24, at 5:17 p.m., a deputy conducted a check in Oakhurst on a subject that had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The subject was arrested and issued a citation with a new court date.
Oakhurst Public Intoxication and Narcotics Paraphernalia Arrest
On Saturday, August 24, at 7:49 p.m., a deputy conducted a subject check in Oakhurst. The male subject was found to be intoxicated and to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The subject was arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC.
Bass Lake Missing Person
On Sunday, August 25, at 1:43 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Bass Lake regarding a female subject that was intoxicated and ran off from the camp ground. The female subject was not located by deputies or the female subjects friends. A missing persons report was written and the female subject was entered into MUPS.
