Cancelled – Madera County Sheriff’s Office Issues Alert on Potential Public Safety Power Shutoff

Mountain Communities – Update 10/10/21 10:00am- PG&E has notified the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services that Madera County has been removed from the potential Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event. Power in the areas of North Fork, Bass Lake and Central Camp will not be de-energized as anticipated.

Weather conditions will continue to be monitored. Updated information will be provided as it is received.

PG&E has notified the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services of a potential Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event that is expected to affect the North Fork area of Madera County.

**NOTE- the anticipated event information provided below is preliminary, and could be changed or canceled at any time**

PG&E is reporting current weather forecasts, including high wind and dry conditions, may require them to turn off the power to help prevent a wildfire. Power may be de-energized Monday 10/11/21 around 7:00pm. Should that occur, restoration is estimated to occur by Wednesday 10/13.

A Community Resource Center site will be made available at North Fork Elementary School – 33087 Rd 228, North Fork, CA 93643 during the outage. The hours of operation will be announced as soon as they are available.

PG&E will have more precise information on areas likely to be impacted within the next 24 hours. You can check for the latest updates at PG&E.

PG&E will also be reaching out to customers who will be impacted with phone calls and text messages.
