Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through September 9, 2019

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office reports taken locally from Tuesday, September 3, to Monday, September 9, 2019.

Oakhurst Found Property
On Tuesday, September 3, at 9:03 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Oakhurst regarding found property. Report written, property obtained, and case closed.

North Fork Unattended Vehicle
On Tuesday, September 3, at 9:26 a.m., deputies were dispatched to North Fork regarding a vehicle left parked and unattended on an easement roadway. The vehicle was towed for blocking the roadway. Report written for documentation purposes. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst Coroner’s Report
On Tuesday, September 3, at 3:44 p.m., a deputy responded to Oakhurst for a coroner’s report. It was determined the subject had passed away from natural causes. A report was taken and forwarded to the Chief Coroner.

Oakhurst Missing Juvenile
On Tuesday, September 3, at 10:55 p.m., deputies responded to a call of a missing juvenile who had not returned home from school. Case forwarded to Madera County detectives for follow up.

Oakhurst Narcotics Violation
On Wednesday, September 4, at 2:08 p.m., a deputy was called to Oakhurst in regards to a narcotics violation. A report was written.

Oakhurst Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, September 4, at 4:34 p.m., deputies responded to Oakhurst regarding two adult males drinking outside of a local business. One male was found to have a warrant out of Madera County. The male was arrested, cited, and released. Case cleared by arrest.

Coarsegold Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, September 4, at 6:36 p.m., the Madera Sheriff’s POP Team conducted a traffic enforcement stop in Coarsegold. The driver of the vehicle was found to have misdemeanor warrants out of Madera County. He was arrested, cited, and released on the scene for the warrants.

Oakhurst Juvenile Under the Influence
On Thursday, September 5, at 11:03 a.m., a deputy responded to Oakhurst in regard to a juvenile being under the influence of alcohol. A report was written.

Oakhurst Runaway Juvenile
On Thursday, September 5, at 9:29 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Oakhurst regarding a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was later located in Oakhurst and returned to his parent. He was entered and removed from MUPS.

Oakhurst Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, September 5, at 6:01 p.m., a deputy was investigating a suspicious person in Oakhurst. The subject was located and no criminal activity was taking place. Subject was subsequently arrested on a probation violation and transported to Madera County DOC.

O’Neals Under the Influence Arrest
On Friday, September 6, at 1:32 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to O’Neals for a report of a male walking on the shoulder of the roadway. The male was found to be under the influence of drugs and not able to care for himself. The male was arrested and booked into Madera County DOC on misdemeanor charges.

Coarsegold Narcotics Arrest
On Saturday, September 7, at 9:36 p.m., a deputy observed a male driving without a license in Coarsegold. The vehicle took off and attempted to elude. The vehicle and the subjects inside were located at a residence that didn’t belong to either person. Both subjects were arrested and booked into Madera County DOC for narcotics-related violations.

Coarsegold Restraining Order Violation
On Saturday, September 7, at 11:54 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Coarsegold regarding a violation of a restraining order. A report was written.

Bass Lake Public Brawling and Intoxication
On Sunday, September 8, at 12:33 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Bass Lake regarding a physical fight. All parties were contacted but charges were not pressed. Two individuals were arrested and booked for public intoxication.

Oakhurst Aggravated Assault Arrest
On Sunday, September 8, at 1:00 a.m., a deputy responded to Oakhurst in regards to a domestic violence report. An investigation was completed and a male subject was arrested for felony domestic battery. The male subject was transported to and booked into the Madera County Jail. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s Office for prosecution.

Coarsegold Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, September 8, at 11:14 a.m., a deputy conducted a subject check of a male subject walking partially in the roadway of southbound CA-41. The subject was found to have a misdemeanor warrant. Subject was cited and released with a court date. A report was written. Case is closed.

North Fork Felony Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, September 8, at 11:39 a.m., a deputy initiated a vehicle stop in North Fork regarding possible drunk driver. The subject was found to have a felony warrant out of Madera County. The subject was arrested and booked into Madera County DOC. The case was forwarded to Madera County DA’s office for the filing of additional charges.
