Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through September 2

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Aug. 27, to Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018.

Bass Lake sunken vessel
On Monday, Aug. 27 at 3:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a report of a sunken vessel in a docking slip on Bass Lake. The appropriate state agencies were notified. Report taken for documentation.

Wishon danger to self
On Monday, Aug. 27 at 10:40 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding a report of a possibly suicidal female. The female was found to be a danger to herself and placed on a mental health evaluation hold. She was transported via ambulance to a hospital for evaluation and/or treatment. This case has been closed.

Coarsegold felony arrest after short pursuit
On Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 7:57 a.m. a deputy saw a wanted subject who had an outstanding felony warrant in the area of Blackfoot Road and Hopi Avenue. The driver sped off in a high rate of speed and later stopped after a short pursuit. The male was booked into the Madera County DOC for his outstanding warrants and a report was written and filed with the Madera County District Attorneys Office.

Bass Lake narcotics
On Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 8:36 a.m. a report was written to submit evidence related to a MADNET case.

Coarsegold assault
On Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 4:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 417 and Apache Road for a report of a male that had his throat slashed. The male was located at a residence on Apache and later transported to CRMC for treatment. A possible suspect was identified and a report was written and forwarded to Madera County Districts Attorneys Office.

Oakhurst report of possible gas theft from vehicles
On Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 12:01 a.m. a deputy responded to the 50000 block of Road 427 in regards to a report of a male subject possibly stealing gas from vehicles at the location. Deputies were unable to locate the male subject but they located a suspicious vehicle in the area. An investigation was completed and the vehicle was towed and stored by a local towing company.

Oakhurst suspicious person and arrest
On Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 12:01 a.m. deputies responded to the 50000 block of Road 427 regarding a suspicious person. An arrest was made and turned over to Mariposa County.

Coarsegold assault
On Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 8:58 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding an assault that the occurred the prior night. The victim was transported to a hospital by EMS and one male suspect was arrested for felony assault. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Coarsegold theft of purse from vehicle
On Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 2:03 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a theft of a purse from a vehicle. There was one possible suspect reported from the Fresno area. Report to be forwarded to detectives for possible follow up.

Coarsegold fight between juveniles
On Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Person Loop N in regards to a fight between two juveniles. An investigation was conducted and report written. Case forwarded to Juvenile Probation for review.

Oakhurst domestic assault
On Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 8 p.m. deputies were dispatched for a domestic dispute. An investigation was completed and a report was written.

O’Neals report of possible child abuse
On Thursday, Aug. 30 at 8:58 a.m. a School Resource Deputy was advised by a school administrator of possible child abuse. Investigation was conducted and it was determined the allegation was unfounded. Report written for documentation purposes.

Oakhurst student reports being followed by a suspicious vehicle
On Thursday, Aug. 30 at 11:55 a.m. a student attending a school in the area of the 49000 block of Indian Springs reported being followed by a suspicious vehicle. Deputies investigated and followed up with the guardian of the child. There is a potential suspect and deputies are waiting on further leads to develop.

Coarsegold coroner’s report
On Thursday, Aug. 30 at 2:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Wild Horse Court regarding a death. During the investigation the death was determined to be due to natural causes. Case to be forwarded to the coroner’s office.

Oakhurst warrant arrest and citation
On Thursday, Aug. 30 deputies responded to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a reported possible domestic dispute. Deputies located one of the involved parties who had a warrant and the subject was cited and released on scene.

Coarsegold report of restraining order violation
On Thursday, Aug. 30 at 6:59 p.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of a restraining order violation. An investigation determined that no crime had occurred. A report was written for documentation.

Raymond elder abuse and battery
On Thursday, Aug. 30 at 9:14 p.m. deputies were dispatched for a family disturbance. An adult male had hit his elderly father in the face. The male subject was arrested and booked for battery and elder abuse. Report sent the to DA’s office for filing of charges.

Oakhurst check forgery
On Friday, Aug. 31 at 8:12 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of CA-41 regarding a report of check forgery. There was no local information of the possible suspects name. Case to be suspended.

North Fork report of residential burglary
On Friday, Aug. 31 at 8:54 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 28000 block of Road 222 regarding a residential burglary. There was no evidence or witnesses. One reported lead was followed up on with no results. Report to be closed.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Friday, Aug. 31 at 10:29 a.m. deputies responded regarding a possible arson. Deputies arrived on scene and determined one of the subjects was mentally unstable and he was placed on a 72 hour mental health evaluation hold. An elder abuse case was also investigated and forwarded to the Madera County District Attorneys Office for charges to be filed.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Friday, Aug. 31 at 12:31 p.m. deputies responded regarding a possible attempt suicide. Deputies arrived on scene and determined one subject was a danger to himself and gravely disabled. The subject was placed on a mental health evaluation hold without further incident.

Bass Lake intoxicated subject steals barbecue
On Friday, Aug. 31 at 5:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 54000 block of Road 432 regarding theft of a barbeque. A suspect fled the scene and was possibly intoxicated. BOL was sent out per dispatch and the vehicle/subject was not located. No charges were requested.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Friday, Aug. 31 at 6:38 p.m. a deputy took a phone report of vandalism to a fence that occurred in the 31000 block of Delaware Road. No suspect information was available. Report written for documentation.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Friday, Aug. 31 at 9:29 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for very intoxicated subject. Upon arrival the subject was located in the hallway acting belligerently with security. The subject was uncooperative and refused to identify himself with the correct name, and  was arrested for public intoxication and booked into jail. A report was written.

North Fork motor vehicle stop and arrest
On Friday, Aug. 31 at 10:48 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Road 225 / Road 274 for expired registration. Upon contact, the driver was found to have a warrant out of Mariposa County. The driver was arrested and turned over to Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office.

Oakhurst burglary
On Saturday, Sept. 1 at 5:20 a.m. deputies responded to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding a tripped burglary alarm. Deputies investigated and established the business was burglarized and there is still an ongoing investigation. The case will be open pending further leads.

Oakhurst possible domestic dispute
On Saturday, Sept. 1 at 6:51 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a possible domestic dispute. The deputy was flagged down by an alleged victim in the area of Road 222 and Dorstan Dr. There were no witnesses or evidence that would substantiate the victim’s allegation at this time. Case to be suspended.

Oakhurst burglary
On Saturday, Sept. 1 at 4:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 426 in regards to a burglary report. No arrest were made and a case report was written.

Oakhurst attempted auto theft
On Sunday, Sept. 2 at 12:47 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of River Park Road in regards to a vehicle burglary. An investigation was conducted and found it was an attempted auto theft. Evidence was collected and report was written.

Oakhurst found property
On Sunday, Sept. 2 at 3 a.m. a deputy was informed of some found property in the area of 48000 Liberty Drive. Property was booked into evidence.
