Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through Sept. 30, 2019

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office reports taken locally from Tuesday, September 24, to Monday, September 30, 2019.

North Fork Dog Attack
On Tuesday, September 24, at 7:31 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to North Fork in regards to loose dogs chasing and attempting to attack a small child. The involved parties are contacted and a report is taken for documentation. Report to be forwarded to Madera County Animal Control.

Oakhurst Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, September 24, at 12:25 p.m., the Madera Sheriff’s POP Team conducted warrant services in the mountain division. A subject was located and contacted in Oakhurst with confirmed warrants. They were arrested, transported and booked at Madera County Department of Corrections. Case closed by arrest.

Oakhurst Narcotics Arrest
On Tuesday, September 24, at 5:45 p.m., deputies conducted a vehicle stop in the Oakhurst area. The passenger of the vehicle was contacted and determined to be on parole and was in possession of a controlled substance. The subject was arrested and booked.

Oakhurst Criminal Threats
On Wednesday, September 25, at 10:19 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Oakhurst regarding criminal threats. An investigation was conducted and report written. Case forwarded to Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review of Charges.

Oakhurst Purse Theft
On Wednesday, September 25, at 12:21 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Oakhurst regarding the theft of a purse. Case closed due to no suspect leads at this time.

Coarsegold Domestic Violence Arrest
On Wednesday, September 25, at 1:49 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Coarsegold regarding a domestic disturbance. Female suspect arrested for domestic violence and booked into Madera County Jail without incident. Victim refused EPO. Case forwarded to Madera County District Attorney for a criminal charge to be filed.

Coarsegold Mental Health Evaluation
On Wednesday, September 25, at 3:51 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Coarsegold regarding a disturbance. An adult male was placed on a W & I 5150 hold and transported to a hospital for a mental health evaluation. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold Property Damage
On Wednesday, September 25, at 4:54 p.m., a deputy documented damage to county property that occurred in Coarsegold. Photos were taken and report written. Case taken for documentation.

North Fork Attempted Suicide
On Wednesday, September 25, at 10:39 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to North Fork regarding a subject possibly attempting suicide by ingesting multiple pills. The subject was determined to be a danger to herself and placed on a mental health hold. She was transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Coarsegold Felony Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, September 26, at 1:43 a.m., a deputy responded to Coarsegold regarding found property with possible fraud. During the investigation a subject was identified with a felony Tulare County warrant. She was located, arrested, and booked for the warrant. Property was booked for safekeeping until follow up can be done.

Oakhurst Assault
On Thursday, September 26, at 12:11 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Oakhurst regarding an assault on a person. Case forwarded to Madera County District Attorney for criminal charge to be filed.

Coarsegold Suicidal Subject
On Thursday, September 26, at 6:30 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Coarsegold regarding a suicidal subject. The subject was contacted and admitted to having suicidal thoughts. He was transported by ambulance for a mental health hold.

North Fork Burglary
On Thursday, September 26, at 7:37 p.m., a deputy responded to North Fork in regards to a burglary report. An investigation was conducted and a report was generated. The case was closed due to insufficient evidence.

Coarsegold Public Intoxication
On Thursday, September 26, at 8:20 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Coarsegold following a report of a male laying on the side of the roadway. The male was contacted and found to be severely intoxicated. He was arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC.

Coarsegold Domestic Violence
On Thursday, September 26, at 8:47 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Coarsegold in regards to a possible domestic violence incident. Investigation conducted and case written for documentation.

Coarsegold Drug Paraphernalia Arrest
On Thursday, September 26, at 11:05 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Coarsegold on a vehicle with expired registration. Both male occupants of the vehicle were found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The male subjects were arrested and issued citations and promised to appear at the court date.

Coarsegold Public Intoxication
On Friday, September 27, at 10:23 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Coarsegold regarding an intoxicated male. The involved male was placed on a W & I 5150 hold for being gravely disabled. The male was transported by EMS to a hospital for a medical evaluation. Case to be closed.

North Fork Theft
On Friday, September 27, at 10:58 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to North Fork regarding the theft of real estate signs. There are no leads. Case to be closed.

Bass Lake Petty Theft
On Friday, September 27, at 11:34 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Bass Lake regarding a petty theft from a boat. Case closed due to no suspect leads.

Oakhurst Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest
On Friday, September 27, at 7:31 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Oakhurst. The male driver was found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and arrested. The male was issued a citation with a new court date and promised to appear.

Oakhurst Drug Paraphernalia Arrest
On Friday, September 27, at 10:25 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Oakhurst on a male riding a bicycle without mounted lights. The male was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and arrested and issued a citation.

Oakhurst Domestic Violence Arrest
On Friday, September 27, at 10:35 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Oakhurst for a report of a disturbance in the area. Upon arrival a female and a male were seen arguing. The male subject was arrested for violation of probation and for felony domestic violence and booked into the Madera County DOC.

Oakhurst Domestic Violence Arrest
On Saturday, September 28, at 3:43 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Oakhurst for a report of a domestic disturbance. The male and female subjects were later arrested for felony domestic violence and booked into the Madera County DOC.

Coarsegold Motor Vehicle Stop
On Saturday, September 28, at 1:46 p.m., a deputy conducted a vehicle stop in Coarsegold for vehicle code violations. The driver was determined to have an expired license and was issued a citation.

Oakhurst Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, September 29, at 1:00 a.m., a deputy spoke with a subject in Oakhurst. The subject was found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Kern County. The subject was arrested and issued a citation with a new court date.

Bass Lake Narcotics Arrest 
On Sunday, September 29, at 2:58 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Bass Lake for a report of an in progress physical altercation between several subjects. A female at the location was intoxicated and was arrested for drug possession and drug paraphernalia and booked into the Madera County DOC.
