Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through October 7

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Oct. 1, to Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018.

Coarsegold domestic disturbance
On Monday, Oct. 1 at 12:35 a.m. deputies responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of a domestic disturbance. Deputies arrived on scene and generated a report for documentation, no arrests were made and the case was closed.

North Fork theft
On Monday, Oct. 1 at 9:10 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of Road 221 for a report of a theft of items. A report was written for documentation.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Monday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. deputies responded regarding an intoxicated male who was having suicidal thoughts. The male was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and turned over the EMS.

Oakhurst welfare check
On Monday, Oct. 1 at 1:04 p.m. deputies responded to the 52000 block of Pettitt Road regarding a welfare check. A report was taken.

Oakhurst report of fraud
On Monday, Oct. 1 at 1:33 p.m. deputies responded to the 51000 block of Road 632 regarding a possible fraud. A report was taken.

Coarsegold domestic incident
On Monday, Oct. 1 at 12:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a domestic incident. A report written and the case was closed.

North Fork dog reportedly shot by neighbor
On Monday, Oct. 1 at 4:02 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office substation for a report of a female stating that her neighbor shot her dog, and that it was still alive and had been released from veterinary hospital. This took place in the 56000 block of Railroad Grade Road. A report was written and forwarded to the Madera County District Attorneys Office for charges.

Oakhurst theft of gasoline
On Monday, Oct. 1 at 4:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Jeffrey Way regarding theft of gasoline. A report was written, evidence obtained, and case closed.

Oakhurst coroner’s call
On Monday, Oct. 1 at 5:08 p.m. deputies responded to the 45000 block of South Oakview Drive regarding a coroner investigation. The death appears to be from natural causes. A report was taken and will be forwarded to the coroner’s office for review.

Coarsegold report of suspicious person near school
On Monday, Oct. 1 at 5:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Road 400 regarding a suspicious older male at a local school. Report written and case closed.
North Fork commercial burglary
On Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 6:39 a.m. deputies responded to the 54000 block of Road 200 regarding a commercial burglary. An investigation was conducted and a report was taken.

Oakhurst found property
On Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 8:35 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Hwy 41 regarding found property. Report written and case closed.

Coarsegold coroner’s call
On Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 1:01 p.m. a deputy responded to a delayed Coroner’s case. The primary physician is stipulating to a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Coarsegold juvenile warrant
On Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 11:10 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to locate a male who was wanted on an outstanding misdemeanor juvenile warrant. The male subject was located and arrested and booked.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 2:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Goldside Drive regarding theft. A report written, evidence obtained and case closed.

North Fork violation of restraining order
On Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 3:29 p.m. deputies responded regarding a violation of a restraining order. A report was taken.

North Fork theft
On Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 4:43 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 33000 block of Loma Linda Lane regarding a theft. A report was taken.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 7:14 p.m. deputies responded to a report of a possible domestic incident. A subject was contacted and found to be making suicidal statements. He was transported for a mental health hold and evaluation.

Coarsegold burglary
On Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 8:01 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Road 415 in regards to a residential burglary investigation. Currently, there are no suspects. Case to be suspended.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 8:53 a.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to an adult male who was reportedly behaving oddly. The male was contacted and placed on a mental health hold and transported to a local hospital for observation.

Coarsegold illegal outdoor marijuana grow
On Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 2:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to an illegal outdoor marijuana grow. A report was taken and will be forwarded to the Marijuana Enforcement Team.

Ahwahnee violation of restraining order
On Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 4:47 p.m. a deputy responded to a phone report of a restraining order violation. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s office for review.

Ahwahnee danger to self
On Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 9:31 p.m. a deputy responded regarding a female subject who had cut herself. The subject was determined to be a danger to herself and/or others and placed on a mental health hold. She was transported to the hospital by EMS. Case closed.

Ahwahnee report of home invasion and assault
On Thursday, Oct. 4 at 3 a.m. deputies responded to the 45000 block of CA-41 for a report of a home invasion and assault. It could not be determined if the assault actually occurred and the victim was unable to provide any details. A report was written for documentation and forwarded to Probation.

Coarsegold theft
On Thursday, Oct. 4 at 12:04 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Hwy 41 in regards to a theft report. A report was written. The case was suspended pending suspect information.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Oct. 4 at 1:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a customer who had reportedly taken items from a store. The owner did not see anyone actually take the property. He requested a report for documentation.

Oakhurst threats by phone
On Thursday, Oct. 4 at 1:18 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Hidden Falls Road regarding a report of threats received by phone. Report is for documentation only at this time. Case to be closed.

O’Neals danger to self
On Thursday, Oct. 4 at 2:18 p.m. a school resource deputy was dispatched in regards to a subject possibly in need of a mental health evaluation hold. A protective hold was placed. Forward report to Madera County and Fresno County CPS for follow up.

Coarsegold possible fraud
On Thursday, Oct. 4 at 7:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a possible fraud. Evidence was collected and a report was written. Case is to be forwarded to the DA’s Office for possible charges.

North Fork domestic assault
On Thursday, Oct. 4 at 10:08 p.m. deputies responded for a reported domestic incident. An investigation was conducted and report written. Case forwarded to DA’s office for review of possible charges.

Oakhurst theft from truck includes firearm
On Friday, Oct. 5 at 5:31 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of Road 223 regarding a burglary. The victim advised that items including a firearm were taken from his truck. A report was taken for documentation.

Coarsegold theft of wallet
On Friday, Oct. 5 at 1:12 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding theft of a wallet. The suspect vehicle is registered out of Fresno County. Report to be forwarded to detectives.

Coarsegold counterfeit $20 bill
On Friday, Oct. 5 at 2:28 p.m. a deputy responded to the 32000 block of CA-41 regarding a counterfeit report. The reporting party discovered a counterfeit $20 bill. No suspects or leads. The bill was collected and booked in as evidence. Case forwarded to US Secret Service.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Friday, Oct. 5 at 3:55 p.m. a deputy responded regarding a suicidal subject. The subject was transported to the hospital by EMS for a psychiatric evaluation.

Oakhurst attempted motor vehicle theft
On Friday, Oct. 5 at 4:20 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding a report of a cold vehicle burglary. This incident was determined to be an attempted vehicle theft. There was no evidence or leads. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold theft of wallet
On Friday, Oct. 5 at 5 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a theft of a wallet. The reported suspect has an address out of Fresno. Report to be forwarded to detectives.

Coarsegold warrant arrest and release
On Friday, Oct. 5 at 6:33 p.m. deputies contacted an individual in the 27000 block of CA-41 for an out-of-county warrant. The individual was arrested and released after the investigation.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Friday, Oct. 5 at 6:33 p.m. deputies contacted a person suspected of an auto theft in the 28000 block of CA-41 and conducted a probation search of the subject’s property. Narcotics and paraphernalia were found. The subject was issued a citation and released. Report forwarded to DA’s office for charges and to probation for information.

Oakhurst burglary suspect found hiding in attic
On Saturday, Oct. 6 at 5:25 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 Golden Oak Loop regarding an alarm that had been activated at the business. A suspect was located hiding in the attic. He was arrested and transported to MDOC without incident.

Oakhurst vandalism to church sign
On Saturday, Oct. 6 at 11:38 a.m. a deputy was dispatched for a phone report of vandalism that occurred in the 49000 block of School Road. The party reported a sign for their church had been vandalized. No suspects or leads.

North Fork warrant arrest and violation of protective order
On Saturday, Oct. 6 at 2:37 p.m. deputies were patrolling the Redinger Lake Dam/Road 235 and contacted two subjects, male and female, sitting in the roadway. The male was found to have two misdemeanor warrants and was in violation of a criminal protective order due to being with the protected person.
