MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office reports taken locally from Tuesday, October 22, to Monday, October 28, 2019.
Coarsegold Found Narcotics
On Tuesday, October 22, at 7:35 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Lucky Lane regarding possible found narcotics. An investigation was completed and a report was written. Close this case.
Oakhurst Coroner’s Report
On Tuesday, October 22, at 7:46 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Road 423 in Oakhurst regarding a coroner case. Report written and case forwarded to the Madera County Chief Coroner for review.
Oakhurst Coroner’s Report
On Tuesday, October 22, at 9:52 a.m., a delayed Coroner’s case that occurred at Hidden Meadows Road was submitted. The primary physician is stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death and is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.
Coarsegold Fraud Arrest
On Tuesday, October 22, at 11:34 a.m., the Madera Sheriff’s POP Team conducted warrant services in the mountain division. A male subject with a confirmed felony warrant out of Madera County was located on CA-41 in Coarsegold. After his arrest a probation search revealed evidence of identity theft. The mountain detective was contacted and subsequently arrived on scene to collect the evidence. The male subject was transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections for the warrant and subsequent identity theft charges. Case closed by arrest.
Oakhurst Theft
On Wednesday, October 23, at 8:56 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to CA-49 for a theft from a vehicle. An investigation was completed and statements were obtained. A report was written to document the incident.
Oakhurst Found Property
On Wednesday, October 23, at 2:22 p.m., a cadet was dispatched to Liberty Drive in Oakhurst regarding found property. Recommend case to be suspended.
Ahwahnee Burglary
On Wednesday, October 23, at 2:13 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Road 620 regarding marijuana stolen from a barn. The Victim requested a report for documentation. Forward to MADNET for information.
Oakhurst Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, October 23, at 9:15 p.m., a deputy located a subject that was wanted on several warrants in the area of CA-49. The subject resisted arrest and had to be forcefully placed into handcuffs. The subjected was arrested and was booked into the Madera County DOC.
Bass Lake Possible Child Endangerment
On Wednesday, October 23, at 11:53 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to check the welfare of some children in the 36000 block of Cedar Lane due to them reported being home alone. The children were contacted and determined that they were home alone. The parental guardian was contacted and arrived back at the residence a short time later. A report was written and forwarded to the Madera County CPS for review and follow up.

On Thursday, October 24, at 5:17 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Lucky Lane regarding found narcotics. Refer report closed.
Coarsegold Misdemeanor Arrest
On Thursday, October 24, at 8:06 a.m., the Madera Sheriff’s POP Team conducted a patrol check of a property that has been posted uninhabitable by Madera County Code Enforcement on Skyline Ridge Road in Coarsegold. During the check, a male subject was located inside a motor home that was parked on the property which had also been posted as uninhabitable. Upon contact and investigation it was found this subject removed one of the posted signs and knew he wasn’t to be on the property. The male subject was arrested, transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections for a misdemeanor violation of the Madera County Municipal Code. Case closed by arrest.
Oakhurst Misdemeanor Arrest
On Thursday, October 24, at 12:21 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop at Road 427 and Road 426 for expired registration on is vehicle. He had two misdemeanor outstanding warrants. He was arrested and transported to MDOC where he was booked. Refer report closed.
North Fork Compliance Check
On Thursday, October 24, at 10:00 a.m., deputies responded to De Na Lane regarding a marijuana cultivation compliance. Location was checked and contact was made with the subjects.
North Fork Trespassing Report
On Thursday, October 24, at 9:27 p.m., a deputy was dispatched for a report of a subject that was trespassing on Cascadel Heights Drive. The subject left prior to arrival by deputies and a report was written and forwarded to Madera County District Attorneys Office for filing of charges.
Oakhurst Simple Assault
On Friday, October 25, at 2:04 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a location on CA-49 for a report of an assault between employees. Minor injuries was discovered and report was written and forwarded to the Madera County District Attorneys Office for review of charges.
North Fork Juvenile Arrest
On Friday, October 25, at 11:38 a.m, a deputy was called to a location on Road 228 in regards to criminal threats by a juvenile. Investigation was conducted and the juvenile was arrested for criminal threats. Forward case to Madera County Juvenile Probation for charges.
Coarsegold Lost Property
On Friday, October 25, at 2:22 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Lucky Lane regarding a lost cell phone. The victim requested a report for documentation and did not want any charges.
Coarsegold Possible Threats
On Friday, October 25, at 2:43 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Hopi Avenue regarding possible threats. The RP requested a report for documentation. Refer report closed until further leads develop.
Coarsegold Danger To Self
On Friday, October 25, at 10:24 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Konklin Road regarding a mental health call. A male subject was ultimately determined to be a danger to others. Before he could be detained for a mental health evaluation, he fled on foot. The area was searched but the subject was not found. Report written for documentation.
Oakhurst Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, October 25, at 2:43 a.m., a deputy conducted a vehicle check on Road 427. A subject was determined to have two outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrants. He was issued a citation with new court date and released. Case closed.
Oakhurst Coroner’s Report
On Sunday, October 27, at 12:56 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a location on CA-41 in Oakhurst regarding a Coroner’s case. Report written, evidence obtained, and case forwarded to the Sheriff’s Chief Coroner.
