MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Oct. 8, to Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018.
Coarsegold assault
On Monday, Oct. 8 at 7:32 a.m. deputies responded to the 31000 block of Blackfoot Road regarding an assault. A report was taken.
Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Monday, Oct. 8 at 8:38 a.m. deputies responded to the 31000 block of Apache Road for a warrant arrest. A citation was issued and a report was written.
Oakhurst vehicle stop and warrant arrest
On Monday, Oct. 8 at 9:10 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of River Park Road and Royal Oaks on a vehicle with a broken tail light. A male passenger was found to have an outstanding misdemeanor no bail warrant out of Santa Cruz California and was arrested. The male passenger was later booked into Madera DOC on his outstanding warrant.
North Fork vandalism
On Monday, Oct. 8 at 12:29 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Dogwood Drive in North Fork regarding vandalism. A report was written, evidence obtained, and the case was closed.
Oakhurst welfare check on child
On Monday, Oct. 8 at 1:36 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 41 for a welfare check regarding a five-year-old child. Madera County CPS responded to the scene and a report was written for documentation.
Oakhurst burglary
On Monday, Oct. 8 at 2:15 p.m. deputies responded to the 40000 block of CA-41 for a report of a suspicious person. During the investigation a case report was generated and the case was suspended at this time.
Coarsegold domestic assault
On Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 9:34 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Hogan’s Mountain Road regarding a domestic assault. A report was written, evidence was obtained, PCD (probable cause detention) was completed, arrest made, and charges filed.
Coarsegold theft of money
On Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 9:39 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 28000 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway regarding theft of money. A report was written and case pending.
Ahwahnee threats
On Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 3:30 p.m. deputies responded to the 58000 block of Road 601 for a report of threats. Deputies arrived on scene and generated a report which was forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
North Fork theft of a generator
On Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 9:56 a.m. a deputy took a telephonic report in regards to a stolen generator. The generator was stolen from a residence in the 59000 block of Road 225. A report was written.
Oakhurst complaint about out-of-state shipping charges
On Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 1:08 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 38000 block of Leaf Wood Lane regarding possible theft. The reporting party advised that she had items shipped from out of state. The shipper refused to deliver the items until she paid the full shipping amount. A report was taken for documentation.
Coarsegold found property
On Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 4:55 p.m. a deputy responded to a business in the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a found property report. The property was collected and then booked into property. A report was written for documentation purposes.
Coarsegold theft of money from a wallet
On Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 5:08 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located in the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a report of money stolen from a wallet. An investigation was completed and a report was written.
Coarsegold jackpot winner says ID stolen for Target account
On Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 5:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a subject who won a jackpot and said someone had attempted to use his identification to open a Target account. No account was opened, only attempted. The victim requested a report for documentation. Refer report closed until further leads develop.
Oakhurst counterfeit bill
On Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 7:39 p.m. deputies were contacted by an employee at a business in the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a counterfeit bill. The bill was found to be counterfeit and a report was written.
Coarsegold coroner’s report
On Thursday, Oct. 11 at 9:34 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 36000 block of Wells Road regarding a coroner’s report. The subject was deceased in the living room of the residence. Sierra Chapel removed the decedent. Refer report to Chief Coroner for review.
North Fork traffic stop ends up stolen vehicle
On Thursday, Oct. 11 at 7:41 p.m. a deputy initiated a traffic stop in the area of Road 200 and Road 222 for vehicle code violations. Upon contacting the occupants it was learned the vehicle had been reported stolen. Assisting units arrived and the subjects were detained. The male driver was arrested and the passenger was released. Report written and forwarded to DA’s office for charges.
Oakhurst boat moved
On Friday, Oct. 12 at 9:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 51000 block of Hillside Drive regarding a stolen boat. The boat was moved, but still on the property. Case pulled prior to locating the boat. Refer report closed.
North Fork elder welfare check
On Friday, Oct. 12 at 2:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 regarding a welfare check of an elderly male. The elderly male/patient was transported to a hospital due to being gravely disabled. Case to be closed.
Oakhurst unsubstantiated report of subject possibly pointing firearm at vehicle
On Friday, Oct. 12 at 4 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a subject who possibly pointed a firearm at an unoccupied vehicle. After investigating this issue it appears that no crime occurred.
Coarsegold welfare check
On Friday, Oct. 12 at 7:12 p.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a welfare check and allegations of possible child abuse. No crime was committed and a report was written for documentation only.
Oakhurst traffic stop results in warrant arrest
On Friday, Oct. 12 at 10:36 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop for vehicle code violations in the area of CA-41 and Road 426. A passenger was found to have several out-of-county warrants. He was arrested and booked at Madera DOC. Case closed.
Coarsegold arrest for numerous charges
On Saturday, Oct. 13 at 1:28 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding intoxicated guests yelling at the bar. Deputies arrived and located the guests with security in a parking lot. One of the guests walked away from security, around two vehicles and came towards an MCSO patrol vehicle. All guests were detained. During a search of the area where the one individual was walking, a loaded .45 cal pistol was located, as well as a small bag of white powdery substance. During the investigation, it was learned the pistol was stolen out of Merced. One individual was arrested for numerous charges.
Coarsegold domestic assault
On Saturday, Oct. 13 at 12:57 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Road 420 regarding a report of domestic violence. An adult male was arrested and booked at the Madera County Jail. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.
Oakhurst robbery
On Sunday, Oct. 14 at 10:42 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 41 for a report of a subject who wanted to speak to a deputy about an incident that occurred the night before. It was later determined that the male victim was assaulted and the suspects attempted to take his backpack. A report was written for documentation.
North Fork burglary
On Sunday, Oct. 14 at 4:44 p.m. deputies responded to the 54000 block of Dogwood Dr. for a report of a residential burglary. A report was generated and no suspect information was obtained during the investigation. Case closed
