Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through Oct. 28

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Oct. 22, to Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018.

Coarsegold road signs and barricade placed in front of driveway
On Monday, Oct. 22 at 1:16 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 31000 block of Sioux Road in Coarsegold, regarding a report of road signs and a barricade placed in front of the driveway by a known male. The owner of the road signs and barricade was contacted but no complaint was requested and the signs and barricade were returned. This case was written for documentation only at this time.

Oakhurst domestic dispute
On Monday, Oct. 22 at 6:44 a.m. deputies responded to the 52000 block of Road 423 for a report of verbal domestic dispute. Deputies arrived, a report was written and sent to the District Attorney’s office for complaint.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Monday, Oct. 22 at 11:10 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Opal Lane regarding vandalism.

Ahwahnee individual chasing another individual with a chainsaw
On Monday, Oct. 22 at 11:51 a.m. deputies responded to the 42000 block of CA-49 for a report an individual chasing someone with a chainsaw. Deputies arrived and arrested one individual for numerous felony charges.

Oakhurst found property
On Monday, Oct. 22 at 12:23 p.m. deputies responded to the 50000 block of Lazy Oak Drive for a report of found property. Deputies recovered the found property and generated a case for reference.

Coarsegold report of threats
On Monday, Oct. 22 at 1:46 p.m. deputies responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Ln for a report of threats being made. Deputies arrived on scene and found no suspects. A report was generated for future reference and was forwarded to the Detective unit.

North Fork burglary
On Monday, Oct. 22 at 4:48 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 59000 block of Road 225 for a report of a theft. A report was generated and due to the lack of suspect information, the case was closed.

Oakhurst suspicious circumstance
On Monday, Oct. 22 at 10:37 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 50000 block of Critter Creek Lane, regarding a report of a suspicious circumstance. The complainant called to report a white Jeep was in the driveway of this residence with the doors open and items strewn about. During the investigation deputy was unable to locate the owner of the vehicle. It could not be determined if a crime had occurred. This case was written for documentation only at this time and has been closed.

Ahwahnee burglary
On Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 11:20 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Road 628 regarding a burglary. Report written, evidence obtained, and case closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 4:25 p.m. deputies responded to the 50000 block of Road 427 for a report of a theft. A report was generated but, due to the lack of suspect information, the case was suspended at this time.

North Fork danger to self
On Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 5:23 p.m. deputies responded for a public health and safety call. Deputies arrived on scene and generated a report and the case was closed.

Oakhurst burglary of tools
On Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 7:45 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 426 regarding a burglary. Suspect(s) stole several tools and left the scene. Report suspended until further leads develop.

Coarsegold purse possibly stolen from shopping cart
On Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 4:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of CA-41 regarding a possible stolen purse from a shopping cart. The purse was located and returned to the owner.

Ahwahnee landlord and tenant dispute
On Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 7:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of CA-49 regarding a landlord and tenant dispute. A report was written and sent to the District Attorney’s office for review of possible charges.

Oakhurst found wallet
On Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 10 p.m. a deputy found a lost wallet in the 48000 block of Liberty Drive. Attempts were made to contact the owner without success. Wallet was booked for safe keeping.

Ahwahnee information from the FBI regarding child pornography
On Thursday, Oct. 25 at 12:53 p.m. detectives received information from the FBI regarding a male subject involved in the sending and receiving of child pornography. A report was generated and pending further investigation.

Coarsegold report of a possibly missing person in need of assistance
On Thursday, Oct. 25 at 8:21 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a possible missing person potentially in need of a mental health evaluation hold, who was in the area. The subject was contacted and didn’t meet the criteria for a mental health evaluation hold. The subject was removed from the missing person system.

Raymond theft
On Friday, Oct. 26 at 6:25 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 37000 block of Road 600 regarding the theft of items from an unlocked vehicle. The items were ultimately recovered during another investigation. Items to be forwarded to the DA’s office.

Coarsegold in-progress burglary thwarted when resident it on video
On Friday, Oct. 26 at 8:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 35000 block of Wells Road regarding an in-progress burglary. The victim advised that she was watching her video camera system and saw two subjects in her residence. The vehicle fled the scene and was later located. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for possession of stolen property and narcotics. She was transported to MDOC without incident. The case will be referred to the DA’s office for charges filed.

Oakhurst theft of items from a convenience store
On Friday, Oct. 26 at 9:24 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding the theft of items from a convenience store. There was an unidentified female suspect who was later located, identified, and arrested. The stolen property was also recovered and returned to the store. A copy of this report will be forwarded to the DA’s office for filing of the listed charges.

North Fork .22 rifle burglary 
On Friday, Oct. 26 at 9:54 a.m. a deputy responded to the 56000 block of Road 226 in regards to a burglary report. The victim reported a .22 cal rifle was taken sometime during the last three weeks. The victim did not have the serial number and only limited information about the rifle. An investigation was completed and a report was written.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Friday, Oct. 26 at 11:54 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Junction Drive regarding a domestic violence
incident. The female subject requesting contact was extremely uncooperative with information and refused to identify the suspect.
She was provided with a Marsy’s Law card and contact information for the Sheriff’s Office. This case may be closed at this time.

Ahwahnee violation of criminal protection order
On Friday, Oct. 26 at 1:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of CA-49 regarding the violation of a criminal protection order. When deputies attempted to contact and arrest the suspect, he fled the location, resulting in a hours-long manhunt for the subject. The suspect was able to break the perimeter and escape into the National Forest. Forward this case to the DA’s office for filing of the listed charges.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Friday, Oct. 26 at 10:01 p.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of vandalism. The estimated value of property damage was between $3,000 and $4,000 and the victim requested charges be filed. An investigation was conducted and a suspect was arrested. Case forwarded to the DA’s for charges to be filed.

Oakhurst missing mother and child
On Saturday, Oct. 27 at 9:28 a.m. deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Black Oak River Road regarding a missing mother and child report. A report was taken and both subjects were entered into the missing and unidentified person system. Forward to the Detectives Division for further investigation.

Ahwahnee missing juvenile
On Saturday, Oct. 27 at 3:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Sno Flake Lane regarding a report of a runaway juvenile. Attempts were made to locate the juvenile with no results. The juvenile was entered into MUPS. Report to be forwarded to detectives.

Coarsegold missing juvenile
On Saturday, Oct. 27 at 5:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Revis Road for a report of a missing juvenile. An investigation was completed and a report was written. The missing juvenile was later located and returned to family.

Ahwahnee domestic violence
On Saturday, Oct. 27 at 8:51 p.m. a deputy dispatched regarding a domestic disturbance. An adult male was arrested and booked for domestic battery. Case to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Ahwahnee person requesting law enforcement
On Sunday, Oct. 28 at 8:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of CA-49 regarding someone wanting to talk to law enforcement. A deputy arrived, contacted the individual and the individual went willingly with EMS to a mental health facility.

Oakhurst theft
On Sunday, Oct. 28 at 12:55 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 for a report of a theft from a motor vehicle. A deputy arrived a a report was written.

Coarsegold found narcotics
On Sunday, Oct. 28 at 2:27 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding possible drugs found in a room. The narcotics were booked for destruction.

Bass Lake vandalism
On Sunday, Oct. 28 at 4:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 222 and Road 426 for a report of a vandalism to a vehicle.

Coarsegold found narcotics
On Sunday, Oct. 28 at 4:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to the discovery of possible narcotics. Narcotics were booked for destruction.

Oakhurst found narcotics
On Sunday, Oct. 28 at 4:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched the the 46000 block of Beechwood Drive regarding found narcotics. A deputy arrived and a report was written. The found narcotics were booked for destruction.
