Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through November 4, 2019

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office reports taken locally from Tuesday, October 29, to Monday, November 9, 2019.

Oakhurst Possible Fraud
On Tuesday, October 29, at 1:03 p.m., a cadet was dispatched to Liberty Drive in Oakhurst regarding a possible fraud. Recommend case to be closed due to a lack of leads.

Coarsegold Theft
On Wednesday, October 30, at 3:48 p.m., a cadet was dispatched to Liberty Drive in Oakhurst regarding a theft of gold coins. Recommend case to be closed due to a lack of investigative leads.

Coarsegold Domestic Disturbance
On Wednesday, October 30, at 7:48 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Yosemite Springs Way regarding a domestic disturbance. A report was written.

Ahwahnee Suicide Attempt
On Thursday, October 31, at 3:43 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Crooks Mountain Road regarding a female who took several pills and left a suicide note. She was placed under a W&I 5150 hold and transported to MCH for mental health evaluation. Refer report closed.

North Fork Misdemeanor Arrest
On Thursday, October 31, at 8:38 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop for vehicle code violations in the area of Road 274 and Road 225 in North Fork. A female passenger was determined to have a misdemeanor arrest warrant. She was issued a citation and released.

Oakhurst Drug Paraphernalia Arrest
On Thursday, October 31, at 10:36 p.m., a deputy conducted a vehicle check in the area of CA-41 and CA-49. A female passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arrested and issued a citation with a court date. A report was written and forwarded to the Madera County District Attorneys Office for filing of misdemeanor charges.

Coarsegold Misdemeanor Arrest
On Friday, November 1, at 11:24 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Corral Drive for a report of a male entering a residence without permission and then leaving on foot. The male was later located a short distance away and arrested for several misdemeanor charges. He was booked into the Madera County DOC.

Oakhurst Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, November 2, at 12:19 a.m., a self-initiated subject check conducted on CA-41. One male subject cited on a $7,500 misdemeanor warrant out of Madera County. Warrant cleared by cite. Case closed.

North Fork Sexual Assault
On Saturday, November 2, at 10:53 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Road 222 in North Fork regarding a sexual assault of a female juvenile. Two adult suspects were arrested and booked at the Madera County Jail. Report to be forwarded to detectives for further follow up.

Oakhurst Unattended Fire
On Saturday, November 2, at 11:01 a.m., a deputy responded to the area of the Fresno River near Oakhurst Park for report of a homeless camp with an unattended fire. Deputy located the camp and the fire was extinguished. A subject was identified and report forwarded to DA’s office for filing of
misdemeanor charges.

North Fork Welfare Check
On Saturday, November 2, at 3:54 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Willow Creek Drive regarding a welfare check on children. The home was determined to be in unlivable conditions for children. The children were placed with family members. A report was written and forwarded to CPS for review.
