Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through Nov. 4

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Oct. 29, to Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018.

Coarsegold felony warrant arrest
On Monday, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. a deputy responded to the 44000 block of Road 415 in the attempt to make contact with a male subject who had an outstanding felony warrant. The male subject was located and arrested for his outstanding warrant and transported to the Madera County DOC.

Coarsegold juvenile altercation
On Monday, Oct. 29 at 12:07 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Road 415 for a report of two juvenile subjects that were in a physical altercation. A report was written for documentation.

Raymond theft of off-road recreational vehicle
On Monday, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 600 for a theft of an off-road recreational vehicle. A report was written.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Monday, Oct. 29 at 1:50 p.m. a deputy was dispatched for a report of a subject stating he located his neighbor with a noose around her neck and that she attempted to hang herself from a tree. The female patient was located and placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to Madera Community Hospital for evaluation.

Oakhurst registered sex offender out of compliance
On Monday, Oct. 29 at 2:34 p.m. a deputy was at the 50000 block of Hidden Falls Road and contacted a male who was a registered sex offender out of Nevada. The male was found to be out of compliance with his sex offender requirements and was arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC on a felony violation charge.

Coarsegold identity theft
On Monday, Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Oak Springs Ct. regarding an identity theft packet that was filled out by an individual and was ready to be picked up.

Ahwahnee missing juvenile
On Monday, Oct. 29 at 5:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding a report of a runaway juvenile. During the investigation it was reported the juvenile was last seen at the high school located within the 50000 block of Road 426 in Oakhurst. This was the second time within a week this juvenile had runaway. She was later entered into the Missing and Unidentified Persons System. This case has been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Detective Division for follow up investigation.

Oakhurst welfare check and traffic warrant citation
On Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 7:43 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Pierce Circle to conduct a welfare check per a doctor’s request. A deputy arrived and eventually made contact with the individual and his caretaker. A records check was conducted on one of the individuals and it was discovered that the individual had a traffic warrant out of Madera County. The individual was cited and released.

Coarsegold report taken
On Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 9:12 a.m. a deputy responded to the Oakhurst substation per the request of a citizen who wished to speak with a deputy regarding her son. A report was written.

North Fork found narcotics
On Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 1:31 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation for a report of found narcotics in the 34000 block of Road 223. A deputy arrived, took possession of the narcotics and booked the narcotics for destruction.

Coarsegold concerns over family member
On Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 1:53 p.m. a deputy was flagged down by a citizen in the Oakhurst substation lobby. The citizen had concerns about a family member who lives on Road 400. A report was written.

Coarsegold report of trespassing, verbal argument, stolen firearm
On Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 9:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 33000 block of Sesame Street, regarding a report of a trespassing. During the investigation it was determined no trespassing had occurred. The issue was a verbal argument between a husband and wife that was mediated by the deputy. The deputy was informed of a theft of a firearm from the residence that
occurred about one month prior and had not yet been reported to the Sheriff’s Department. The firearm was later entered into the Stolen Property System. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Oakhurst burglary
On Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 2:49 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Cedar Springs Road for a report of items stolen from an outdoor shed. Several power tools were taken and a report was written for documentation.

North Fork civil dispute
On Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 2:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 27000 block of Road 225 for a civil dispute. A deputy arrived and a report was written.

Coarsegold missing juvenile
On Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 9:52 p.m. a deputy responded to the 47000 block of Sunshine Terrace regarding a runaway juvenile. A report was taken and the juvenile was entered into MUPS. Case forwarded to juvenile probation.

Coarsegold domestic assault
On Thursday, Nov. 1 at 4:40 p.m. deputies responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a reported domestic incident. The parties were contacted and gave conflicting statements. The female was uncooperative and denied anything happened. A report was taken and forwarded to the DA’s office for review of charges.

North Fork theft of two chain saws
On Thursday, Nov. 1 at 8:07 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 54000 block of Road 200 regarding theft of two chain saws. The victim requested a report for documentation.

Coarsegold coroner’s report
On Thursday, Nov. 1 at 9:17 a.m. a deputy responded to a delayed coroner’s case that occurred at the 43000 block of Cedar Grove Way. The primary physician is stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a coroner’s referral number.

North Fork theft of a parcel
On Thursday, Nov. 1 at 11:30 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation regarding theft of a parcel in North Fork. Report taken for documentation.

Coarsegold found property
On Thursday, Nov. 1 at 1:53 p.m. a deputy responded to a business located in the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a found property report. The item was collected and booked into evidence for safekeeping. A report was written for documentation purposes.

Oakhurst theft of traffic cones
On Thursday, Nov. 1 at 8:43 p.m. a deputy took a phone report regarding theft of traffic cones in the 40000 block of CA-41. Case suspended due to lack of leads.

Coarsegold found property includes firearms, ammunition, prescription medications
On Thursday, Nov. 1 at 9:12 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding found property to include two firearms, ammunition and numerous prescription medications. Case pending.

Ahwahnee 911 call
On Thursday, Nov. 1 at 8:58 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of road 628 in regards to a 911 call. An extremely agitated male subject was contacted. The subject would not listen and repeatedly delayed the deputies investigation. The subject was arrested and booked into DOC.

Oakhurst phone threats
On Friday, Nov. 2 at 8:07 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Road 425A regarding the owner having been threatened by phone. She requested no charges and documentation only.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Friday, Nov. 2 at 2:28 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Enterprise Drive regarding a disturbance. The female subject had an outstanding traffic warrant. She was cited and released.

Coarsegold controlled substance found
On Friday, Nov. 2 at 3:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a controlled substance that was found.

Wishon burglary
On Saturday, Nov. 3 at 1:02 a deputy was dispatched regarding a residential burglary. There are no suspects in this case and no suspect evidence was recovered at the scene. This case may be suspended pending further investigative leads.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Saturday, Nov. 3 at 3:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a physical fight between two subjects. One subject was arrested for being intoxicated in public and booked into MCDOC. Forward this report to the DA’s office for filing of the listed charges.

North Fork 72-hour hold
On Sunday, Nov. 4 at 9:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 regarding a 72-hour hold. Report written and case closed.

Oakhurst theft from vehicle
On Sunday, Nov. 4 at 10:53 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway CA-41 for a report of a theft of batteries from a vehicle. A report was written for documentation.

Raymond missing juvenile
On Sunday, Nov. 4 at 4:51 p.m. deputies were dispatched to Cimarron Road regarding an abusive juvenile. The juvenile was later reported as a runaway.

  1. Lucky Lane isn’t very lucky lately. My thoughts go out to the poor sheriffs.
