Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through May 21

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, May 15 to Sunday, May 21, 2017:

Coarsegold violation of court order
On Monday, May 15 at approximately 9:28 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 Block of Road 415 in regards to a violation of a court order. A report was taken and forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney for review.

Ahwahnee threat with a baseball bat
On Monday, May 15 at 10: 20 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Graceway Drive regarding a male subject who threatened another male subject with a baseball bat. Report written, subject placed on a hold, and case closed.

Coarsegold Coroner’s case
On Monday, May 15 at 1:36 p.m. a deputy responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Coarsegold theft
On Monday, May 15 at approximately 12:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact a citizen via telephone in regards to a theft that occurred on the 31000 Block of Road 400. A report was taken.

North Fork disturbance, shots fired
On Monday, May 15 at 3:52 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 224 for a verbal disturbance with shots fired. Upon arrival to the scene the deputy made contact with the victim who stated his girlfriend’s estranged husband arrived at the address and shot at the victim with a handgun. No one was injured and evidence was collected. A report was written documenting the incident.

Coarsegold theft
On Monday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 43000 block of Trabuco Road regarding a report of a theft. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

North Fork theft
On Monday, May 15 at 8:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Amber Lane regarding possible theft. An investigation was issued and a report was written. Report is for documentation only and the case is to be closed.

Oakhurst petty theft
On Tuesday, May 16 at approximately 6:22 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 Block of CA-41 in regards to a petty theft. A report was taken.

Coarsegold burglary
On Tuesday, May 16 at 10:51 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Long Hollow Drive regarding an attempted burglary. There are no investigative leads and the case is closed.

Coarsegold petty theft
On Tuesday, May 16 at approximately 2:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 34000 Block of CA-41 in regards to a petty theft call. A report was taken.

North Fork vandalism
On Tuesday, May 16 at 3:11 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Cascadel Heights Drive regarding a vandalism. A report was taken and was forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review of charges.

Coarsegold theft
On Tuesday, May 16 at 3:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to 30000 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway regarding a theft. There is possible video surveillance of suspect(s). Case suspended until leads develop.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Wednesday, May 17 at 5:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a domestic incident. The victim advised her boyfriend had pushed her and choked her. The boyfriend returned home and he was arrested. He was transported to MDOC without incident. Refer report to the D.A’s office for charges filed.

Coarsegold attempted burglary of shed
On Wednesday, May 17 at 6:34 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 45000 Road 415 regarding an attempted burglary to a shed. Per the reporting party nothing was stolen, only the pad lock and hasp was damaged. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Wednesday, May 17 at 10:29 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a domestic disturbance. Pictures were taken and a report was written. A suspect was arrested and booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections. Case forwarded to Madera County DA to pursue charges.

Bass Lake burglary
On Wednesday, May 17 at 1:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block 54000 Crane Valley regarding a burglary to a residence. The suspect entered the residence and guest home and stole a TV. Forward to detectives for follow up.

Mariposa missing person
On Thursday, May 18 at 12:22 a deputy was dispatched to 48000 Liberty Drive regarding a missing person’s case. A report was taken and the adult was entered into the system. The missing person was later found and taken out of the missing person system.

North Fork burglary
On Thursday, May 18 at 2:12 a deputy was dispatched to the block of 54000 Pinchot Drive regarding a burglary. Items were stolen from the garage and a report was taken. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst violation of domestic violence restraining order
On Friday, May 19 at 8:09 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 49000 River Park Road regarding a violation of a domestic violence restraining order. The victim requested a report and possible charges filed. Refer to the DA’s office for review of charges.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Friday, May 19 at 8:37 p.m. a deputy located a subject with a felony warrant out of Madera County in the 50000 block of Road 423. The subject was arrested, transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections. Case closed by arrest.

Oakhurst arrest and citation following traffic stop
On Sunday, May 21 at 9:24 p.m. a deputy observed a black GMC SUV traveling southbound on CA-41 passing CA-49. A record check of the vehicle’s rear license plate confirmed the registration had expired in 2016. The vehicle turned west onto Victoria Lane where a vehicle stop was initiated. The driver (arrestee) advised that his driver’s license was suspended and he had no insurance. The passenger, who advised she had
just purchased the vehicle but had not transferred title, was found to be on probation. She consented to a search of her vehicle. During the search of the vehicle a glass pipe with burnt residue was found inside the vehicle. The arrestee advised the pipe belonged to him. The arrestee was issued a citation and released from custody. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charges.
