Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through Mar. 3

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Feb. 25 to Sunday, Mar. 3, 2019.

Oakhurst possession of meth for sale
On Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 5:17 a.m. a deputy’s vehicle check on the 40000 block of Highway 41 led to a warrant arrest and an arrest for possession of methamphetamine for sale. Two prisoners were booked at the jail and the car was towed.

Oakhurst burglary
On Tuesday, Feb. 26 at at 10:10 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 41 regarding a burglary. A report was written, evidence obtained, and case closed.

North Fork theft
On Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 12:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a report of fraud that occurred in the 33000 block of Peckinpah Acres Road. A report was taken for documentation. Currently, the suspect(s) are unknown.

Coarsegold coroner’s report
On Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 2:28 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 35000 block of Highway 41 regarding a coroner’s case. Upon arrival it was determined the subject passed away due to natural causes. Next of kin was notified and the Chief Deputy Coroner arrived to remove the decedent. Case to be forwarded to the Madera County Chief Deputy Coroner.

Coarsegold burglary from mini storage
On Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 9:14 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to telephone a female regarding a report of a theft from her storage unit at a mini storage business located within the 28000 block of CA-41 in Coarsegold. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 8:38 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a phone report of a theft from a rural property in the area of CA-41 near Road 425B. The property does not have a physical address. There are no suspects as the thefts took place over the past 18 months. This case may be closed.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 9:23 a.m. a deputy was called to the 50000 block of School Road in regards to a narcotics violation. A subject was arrested and booked at Madera County Department of corrections. A report was written.

Coarsegold threats and elder abuse
On Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 10:18 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Road 415 regarding a threats and elder abuse case. An arrest was made in this case and the suspect was booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections. The recommendation for this case is to be forwarded to the DA’s office for filing of the listed charges.

Coarsegold theft
On Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 11:51 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of CA-41 for a report of a theft of a package from a residence. The deputy contacted the victim and a report was written.

Raymond vandalism
On Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 11:35 a.m. deputies responded to the 25000 block of Road 407 regarding a vandalism to a metal drop box. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. Case closed pending further suspect leads.

Oakhurst recovered computer
On Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 11:58 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Civic Drive regarding a found computer. The
item was unreported stolen from a local church and returned to the owner. There are no suspects in this case and it may be closed.

Oakhurst assault
On Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 8:41 p.m. deputies responded to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a physical disturbance. A report was written.

North Fork drug paraphernalia
On Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 11:44 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that drove to the left of a double yellow line in the area of Road 222 near the Auberry Flume. The male driver was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The male was arrested and issued a citation with a court date and promised to appear.

Coarsegold found narcotics
On Thursday, Feb. 28 at 10:30 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 of Lucky Lane regarding found narcotics. The narcotics were collected and booked for destruction. This case may be closed.

Coarsegold domestic assault
On Thursday, Feb. 28 at 12:49 p.m. deputies responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of a disturbance. Deputies arrived and learned the disturbance was between a boyfriend and girlfriend and the male left prior to our arrival. After obtaining statements and watching video surveillance footage, the male half was arrested on his return. Forward report to the DA’s office for filing.

North Fork probation violation, possession of meth, driving on a suspended license
On Thursday, Feb. 28 at 9:51 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle check on the 33000 block of Road 222. The male driver was arrested and booked for a probation violation, possession of methamphetamine and driving on a suspended license. Forward to Madera County DA to pursue the charges and to Probation Officer Caldie for review.

Raymond sleeping subject in possession of a loaded firearm
On Friday, Mar. 1 at 1:55 a.m. a deputy responded to Road 600 near Road 612 regarding a subject asleep in a vehicle. The subject was contacted and found to be in possession of a loaded firearm. The subject was issued a citation and released at the scene.

O’Neals suspicious vehicle
On Friday, Mar. 1 at 7:57 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 46000 block of Road 200 regarding a suspicious vehicle. A search of the area for the vehicle was conducted that yielded negative results. A report was written for documentation purposes. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst weapon, drugs and obstruction
On Friday, Mar. 1 at 8:25 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 49000 block of Golden Oak Loop for a report of an individual who looked to be sharpening a weapon on the curb. Deputies arrived and contacted the individual. While searching the individual, a concealed fixed blade knife was located in the individuals pocket. When deputies went to handcuff the individual, he became combative, was forced to the ground, and was taken into custody. The individual was arrested for weapon and drug related charges, as well as obstruction. Case was forwarded to the DA’s office for charges.

Oakhurst juveniles involved in physical assault
On Friday, Mar. 1 at 1:58 p.m. while on patrol on the 50000 Block of School Road a deputy responded to a physical assault in progress. Two juveniles were arrested and transported to Madera County Juvenile Hall. A report was written.

Oakhurst narcotics, paraphernalia and possible burglary tools
On Friday, Mar. 1 at 2 p.m. a deputy responded to the 49000 block for a report of an individual that was passed out at a computer station. A deputy arrived and learned the individual that was asleep was on probation. During the search of the individual and his property, the deputy found narcotics, narcotics paraphernalia, and burglary tools. The probationer was arrested and a probation hold was placed. The report was forwarded to the DA’s office and to probation.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Saturday, Mar. 2 a deputy was dispatched to Road 415 regarding a domestic violence incident. The suspect was eventually contacted and arrested. An EPO was also requested, granted, and served on the suspect. Case cleared by arrest and forwarded to the DA’s office for filing of the listed charges.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Saturday, Mar. 2 at 7:50 p.m. deputies responded to Ranger Circle Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. A report was written and forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review of charges.

Coarsegold found narcotics
On Sunday, Mar. 3 at 2:57 a.m. deputies responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding found narcotics. A report was taken.

Coarsegold coroner’s report
On Monday, Mar. 4 as 12:01 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a report of a deceased person in the parking garage. The decedent was located and pronounced at scene. There were no signs of foul play, and reports are that the decedent suffered from serious health problems.
