Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through Mar. 17

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Mar. 18 to Sunday, Mar. 24, 2019.

Oakhurst unlicensed to drive
On Tuesday, Mar. 19 at 2:06 a.m. a subject was stopped while driving his vehicle in the 40000 block of CA-41 and found to be unlicensed. He was cited and released at scene.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Tuesday, Mar. 19 at 7:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 426 and Bon Veu Drive regarding a female who was running down the roadway. A report was written and a mental health evaluation hold was placed.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Tuesday, Mar. 19 at 1:32 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Lilley Mountain Drive in regards to a possible missing person. The missing person was later located and arrested for public intoxication.

Oakhurst vehicle code violation
On Tuesday, Mar. 19 at 3:40 p.m. deputies initiated a vehicle stop for a minor vehicle code violation near Highway 41 and Royal Oaks Road. During the investigation the driver of the vehicle was cited and released without incident.

Raymond welfare check
On Wednesday, Mar. 20 at 8:43 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33900 block of Road 603 regarding a welfare check after a student made threats at school. Case closed.

Oakhurst damage to sheriff property
On Wednesday, Mar. 20 at 11:33 a.m. amage to a Madera County Sheriff’s property, which occurred in Oakhurst located at the 48000 block of Liberty Drive in Oakhurst.

Oakhurst found property
On Wednesday, Mar. 20 at 11:37 a.m. a deputy found property located at the 48000 block of Liberty Drive. Report written and case closed.

Ahwahnee family disturbance
On Wednesday, Mar. 20 at 4:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Hwy 49 regarding a family disturbance. Report written, arrest made, and charges to be filed.

Ahwahnee intoxicated man making non-emergency calls to 911
On Wednesday, Mar. 20 at 6:41 p.m. an intoxicated man on the 45000 block of Highway 49 called 911 repeatedly for non-emergency reasons. Arrested for abuse of 911. Booked at the jail after being medically cleared.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Thursday, Mar. 21 at 6:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a burglary to a storage building. There were no reported stolen items. There was no evidence or leads. Case to be closed.

North Fork theft of firearm
On Thursday, Mar. 21 at 8:48 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a theft of a firearm that occurred in the 36000 block of Popi Poyah. A report is taken. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst lost retirement badge
On Thursday, Mar. 21 at 4:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding a subject who lost his retirement badge. Refer report closed.

O’Neals danger to self
On Friday, Mar. 22 at 10:34 a.m. a school resource deputy was advised by a school administrator in regards to a possible need for a mental health evaluation hold for a subject at the 45000 block of Road 200. The subject was determined to be a danger to himself and a protective hold was placed. Refer report closed.

North Fork domestic disturbance
On Friday, Mar. 22 at 9:54 p.m. a deputy responded to the area of Cascadel Heights Drive and Road 223 for a report of a domestic disturbance. The deputy arrived and learned that one of the involved parties had slapped the other in the face and then left the area. The reporting party said they did not want to pursue any charges and only called law enforcement so the other involved individual would let them out of the vehicle. The other party involved was unable to be contacted at the time. Follow up will be conducted to attempt to contact the other half that left.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Saturday, Mar. 23 at 1:20 a.m. a deputy on routine patrol of the casino was contacted by security regarding an assault. The suspect was contacted and detained. The victim of the assault did not want charges filed. The suspect was arrested and booked without incident for public intoxication.

Coarsegold assault and public intoxication
On Saturday, Mar. 23 at 1:55 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding an intoxicated female who assaulted security officers. The female was arrested and booked into the jail on battery charges and public intoxication.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Saturday, Mar. 23 at 8:09 p.m. deputies responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a intoxicated male. He was taken into custody and booked for public intoxication.

Coarsegold violation of a domestic violence restraining order
On Sunday, Mar. 24 at 12:15 a.m. deputies responded to the 46000 block of Road 417 because the reporting party said he received a call from his wife who told him she killed their son and was going to hurt their eight month old daughter, started crying, and the call disconnected. Deputies responded to the residence and learned the female and the children were not at the residence, but with victim services, due to a recent domestic violence incident. A report was written and will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for charges to be filed against the male half for violating a domestic violence court order.

On Sunday, Mar. 24 at 1:06 a.m. deputies responded to the 47000 block of Forest Glenn Road regarding a domestic disturbance. A report was taken.
