Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through June 9

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, June 3 to Sunday, June 9, 2019.

Coarsegold report of rape
On Tuesday, June 4 at 3:13 p.m. a deputy took a report of rape. The case was forwarded to detectives.

Wishon assault
On Tuesday, June 4 at 2:56 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 35000 block of Road 222 for a report of an alleged assault. No arrest was made. Case for documentation purpose only.

Oakhurst vehicle check ends with arrest
On Tuesday, June 4 at 11:29 p.m. deputies conducted a vehicle check at the 49000 block of Civic Circle. Two subjects were contacted. One female became uncooperative and combative with deputies. She was booked into Madera DOC and charges were filed. The male subject was issued a citation and released on scene.

Oakhurst burglary
On Wednesday, June 5 at 6:48 p.m. a deputy responded to the 40000 block of Rock Point Road for a report of a burglary. On arrival, the deputy learned the victim woke up to find their garage doors were open and was unsure if anything was stolen.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Wednesday, June 5 at 7:45 a.m. deputies were dispatched regarding a domestic dispute. An investigation was conducted and evidence collected. One subject was arrested and booked into Madera DOC without incident.

Oakhurst juvenile with marijuana smoking device
On Wednesday, June 5 at 7:47 a.m. a deputy responded to the 50000 block of Road 426 for a report of a runaway juvenile. A deputy arrived and the juvenile was located by his parents. While speaking with the juvenile, the juvenile’s parents searched his backpack and located a device used to smoke marijuana. A report was written and forwarded to Madera County Juvenile Probation.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Wednesday, June 5 at 8:29 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a vandalism. An investigation was conducted and report written.

Coarsegold trespassing
On Wednesday, June 5 at 1:25 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Road 416 for a possible trespass. An investigation was conducted. One male subject was arrested, cited, and released on a misdemeanor warrant out of Nevada County. Report taken.

Oakhurst restraining order violation
On Wednesday, June 5 at 2:56 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 49 in regards to a restraining order violation. A report was written and forwarded to Madera DA’s office for complaint.

North Fork danger to self
On Wednesday, June 5 at 5:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 in regards to person possibly in need of a mental health evaluation. An investigation was conducted and a female subject was placed on a 72 hour mental evaluation hold and transported by EMS. Case closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, June 5 at 7:50 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of River Falls Lane for a report of a burglary to a vehicle. It was later determined that there was no forced entry and several items were taken from inside the vehicle. A report was written for documentation.

Oakhurst report of fraud
On Thursday, June 6 at 6:48 a.m. an individual turned in an identity theft packet to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office via fax. The victim’s social security number was used to open a credit card with Home Depot by an unknown individual and the account was charged $7,000. There are no suspect leads.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Thursday, June 6 at 1:08 p.m. a deputy conducted a subject check in the area of Road 427 near Road 426. The male was found to have two outstanding misdemeanor warrants and be in possession of suspected methamphetamines. The male was booked into the Madera County DOC.

Oakhurst missing juvenile
On Thursday, June 6 at 4:40 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Cedar Brook Road in regards to a female juvenile runaway. A search to locate the runaway was conducted. She was later located and turned over to parent. Case closed.

Coarsegold intoxicated juvenile assault
On Thursday, June 6 at 10:32 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Long Hollow Drive and Glacier Drive for a report of intoxicated juveniles and some type of physical disturbance that was occurring. A male was found to be intoxicated and have assaulted several people. The male juvenile was arrested and booked into the Madera County Juvenile Hall on several misdemeanor charges.

Coarsegold theft of a cell phone
On Friday, June 7 at 8:22 p.m. a deputy was contacted by an individual who reported a theft of a cell phone. A report was taken. The suspect was contacted and returned the items. Close the case. Settled by deputy.

Juvenile driving father home, arrest on warrant
On Friday, June 7 at 11:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Club House Drive for a report of a juvenile driving his father home. The vehicle was located a short distance away from the club house. The father was arrested and booked into Madera County DOC on various felony and misdemeanor charges.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Saturday, June 8 at 11:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Rio regarding a mental health evaluation. A subject was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to the hospital by EMS.

Oakhurst road rage assault
On Saturday, June 8 at 11:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Highway 41 and Highway 49 for a report of a physical altercation. The deputy learned the altercation was a road rage incident and the victim was struck in the face by an unknown individual. The victim was checked out my Sierra Ambulance personnel at the scene and declined further medical attention. A person of interest has
been identified.

Oakhurst coroner’s report
On Saturday, June 8 at 12:08 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 38000 Block of Road 425b regarding a coroner’s report. An investigation was conducted and evidence was collected. The decedent was transported to the Madera County Morgue.

Oakhurst arrest and citation
On Saturday, June 8 at 9:06 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Road 426 and Civic Circle on a vehicle with expired registration. The female driver was found to be in possession of crystal methamphetamine and was arrested and given a citation and promised to appear at a later court date.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Sunday, June 9 at 1:40 a.m. deputies were dispatched regarding a domestic dispute. Deputies arrived on scene to conduct an
investigation. After the investigation was conducted, one subject on scene was arrested for domestic violence, assault and vandalism.

Bass Lake lost wallet
On Sunday, June 9 at 10:49 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation for a phone report regarding a lost wallet.

Coarsegold assist in civil standby
On Sunday, June 9 at 3:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 47000 of block of Road 417 to assist in a civil-standby. A male adult subject was arrested, transported, and booked into the Madera County Department of Correction for violation of a criminal protective order.
