Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through July 21

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, July 15 to Sunday, July 21, 2019.

North Fork theft
On Tuesday, July 16 at 8:30 a.m. a deputy was contacted by telephone regarding a theft that occurred on Woaka Poyah. The case was suspended due to lack of investigative leads.

On Tuesday, July 16 at 9:42 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Finegold Creek Drive regarding a theft. The case file will be forwarded to Madera County Sheriff’s detectives for follow up.

Oakhurst verbal disturbance at the library
On Tuesday, July 16 at 12:12 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Library regarding a verbal disturbance between a male and female. The male was arrested and booked at Madera County DOC. Case will be forwarded to Madera County District Attorneys office for filing of charges

Oakhurst missing adult
On Tuesday, July 16 at 11:46 a.m. a deputy was contacted about an adult missing from Pierce Drive. A missing persons case was filed and sent to submit to the missing persons system. The case will be forwarded to Madera County Sheriff’s detectives for follow up.

Raymond family disturbance
On Wednesday, July 17 at 7:06 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Road 613 regarding a family disturbance. An investigation was completed and a report was written for documentation only.

Oakhurst man in crisis
On Wednesday, July 17 at 12:36 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Highway 41 in Oakhurst regarding a suspicious male possibly in need of a mental health evaluation. The involved subject was contacted and placed on a mental health hold. The case is to be closed.

North Fork 911 hangup and warrant
On Wednesday, July 17 at 8:16 p.m. deputies were dispatched to Shamrock Lane for a report of a 911 hangup. A male at the residence was found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and was arrested and booked into the Madera DOC.

Oakhurst warrant arrest and citation
On Thursday, July 18 at 12:22 a.m. a deputy saw a subject who had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant on Highway 41. The male was arrested and issued a citation with a new court date.

Coarsegold woman in crisis
On Thursday, July 18 at 12:06 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Highway 41 regarding an adult female patient who was reported to be possibly suicidal. The patient was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to a hospital for an evaluation by EMS. The case is to be closed.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Thursday, July 18 at 2:11 p.m. the Madera Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Civic Circle in regards to a possible domestic violence call. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. Forward copy of report to Madera District Attorney’s office for prosecution.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Thursday, July 18 at 2:44 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Highway 41 in regards to a subject possibly in need of a mental health evaluation. The subject was determined to be a danger to himself and a protective hold was placed. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold civil matter
On Thursday, July 18 at 4:06 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Road 415 regarding a report of a cold theft. This incident was determined to a civil matter. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold report of being touched inappropriately by a minor
On Thursday, July 18 at 4:58 p.m. the Madera Sheriff’s Office received a call from a male subject stating he was touched inappropriately by a three-year-old. A deputy attempted to call the male subject on two different occasions but was met with negative results. Documentation only.

Coarsegold man reported missing and located
On Thursday, July 18 at 7:34 p.m. deputies responded to Serpa Canyon Road in regards to a report of a missing elderly male. Deputies located the male at a neighbor’s residence. The elderly male returned home and a report was written for documentation purposes.

North Fork vehicle without plates and registration towed
On Thursday, July 18 at 10:33 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Road 225 and Road 222 on a vehicle with no front plates. The registration on the vehicle was found to be two years expired. The vehicle was towed for storage.

Oakhurst bike stop and narcotics
On Friday, July 19 at 3:05 a.m. a deputy conducted a bike stop in the area of Royal Oaks Drive and Highway 41 for a subject riding his bicycle in the wrong direction on the roadway. The male subject was found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and be in possession of narcotics. The male was arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC.

Oakhurst warrant arrest and citation
On Friday, July 19 at 9:24 a.m. a deputy conducted a subject check on Highway 41. One subject was found to have one misdemeanor warrant. The subject was subsequently cited and released. The case was closed.

Oakhurst report of sexual abuse
On Friday, July 19 at 3:28 p.m. the Madera Sheriff’s Office was contacted via telephone to report a sexual abuse case that occurred between 2012-2014 on Indian Springs Road. A report was written. A copy of the report is to be forwarded to detectives.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Friday, July 19 at 10:54 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Highway 49 regarding a verbal disturbance. A male subject was contacted and arrested for public intoxication. Forward to Madera County DA to pursue the charge.

Bass Lake fatal accident on Beasore Road
On Saturday, July 20 at 8:38 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Beasore Road and Road 274 regarding a coroner’s report. An investigation was completed and a report was written. The case will be forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Chief Coroner’s office for final disposition.

Oakhurst theft
On Saturday, July 20 at 11:29 a.m. the Madera Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Highway 49 in regards to a theft from an open trailer. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. No investigative leads at this time.

North Fork 911 hangup and arrest for elder abuse
On Saturday, July 20 at 5:52 p.m. the Madera Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Shamrock Lane in regards to a 911 hangup. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. An adult male subject was placed under arrest and booked in Madera DOC for elder abuse. A copy of the report will be forwarded to the Madera District Attorney’s office for prosecution.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Saturday, July 20 at 7:24 p.m. a deputy was flagged down in the area of Road 415 and Penny Lane. A male subject was found to have several misdemeanor warrants. The male was arrested and booked on his outstanding warrants.

Oakhurst trespassing
On Saturday, July 20 at 12:26 p.m. the Madera Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Chapel Hill Drive in regards to possible trespassers. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. A male subject with warrants out of Mariposa County was turned over to Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office.

Report of a person threatening another
On Sunday, July 21 at 11:08 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Hogan’s Mountain Road regarding a person threatening another. A report was taken for documentation purposes only.
