Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through Dec. 9

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Dec. 3, to Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018.

Coarsegold narcotics found in traffic stop
On Monday, Dec. 3 at 5:33 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Road 415 and Mill Creek Way for a vehicle that passed another vehicle in a double-lined area of the roadway. The male driver was found to be in possession of cocaine and was arrested, issued a citation and released and promised to appeared with a court date.

Oakhurst juvenile sexual offense
On Monday, Dec. 3 at 9:40 a.m. a deputy responded to a sexual offense call in the 50000 block of School Road. A report was written and forwarded to Madera County Juvenile Probation for review of charges.

Oakhurst expired registration, no license, possession
On Monday, Dec. 3 at 10:54 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 41 and Highway 49 on a vehicle that had expired registration. The male driver was later arrested and issued a citation for possession of drugs and paraphernalia and for driving without a license. The vehicle was towed for storage.

Oakhurst narcotics citation and release
On Monday, Dec. 3 at 2:19 p.m. a deputy spoke with a male who was walking in the 40000 of Highway 49. The male was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and arrested. The male was issued a citation and released with a court date.

Coarsegold missing juvenile
On Monday, Dec. 3 at 5:37 p.m. deputies were dispatched for a report of a runaway juvenile. A report was generated and the juvenile was entered into the missing and unidentified persons system.

Coarsegold found credit cards
On Monday, Dec. 3 at 10:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located within the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding found credit cards. During the investigation the owner of the cards could not be properly identified or located. The credit cards were all found to be deactivated by issuing banks. These credit cards were all booked into the Sheriff’s Department Property Warehouse as Found Property. This case has been closed.

Oakhurst residential burglary stopped in progress
On Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 3:04 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 50000 block of Hidden Falls Road regarding a possible residential burglary in progress. Dispatch advised there was a suspicious vehicle in the driveway and subjects were seen entering the residence. The reporting party advised he had not seen them leave. Upon arrival it was determined the subjects were still inside of the residence. After several announcements were made the subject did not exit the residence. A search of the residence led to the discovery of a male and a female inside of the location, who did not have permission from the homeowner to be there. There were several items in the residence that had been staged for removal along with narcotics in the possession of the female suspect. The vehicle in the driveway was found to have been an unreported stolen vehicle from a residential burglary in Mariposa County. A vehicle in the garage, belonging to the homeowner, was found to have been tampered with in an attempt to steal it from the location. Both subjects were booked into Madera County DOC on multiple felony charges.

Ahwahnee trespassing
On Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 8:41 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of CA-49 in regards to a report of trespassing. A suspect was identified and contacted. Case to be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review of charges.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 10:40 a.m. a deputy responded to the 50000 block of School Road in regards to a mental health call. A subject was determined to be a danger to self and was placed on a protective hold. =

Coarsegold traffic stop ends in arrest for narcotics
On Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 12:37 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of McAllister Road and Highway 41 on a vehicle that had no license plates. The female driver and the male passenger were both arrested for drugs and booked into the Madera County DOC.

Coarsegold missing juvenile
On Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 3:50 p.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a runaway juvenile. A report was written and forwarded to detectives for follow-up.

Coarsegold missing juvenile
On Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 3:17 p.m. deputies took a runaway juvenile report and the juvenile was placed into missing and unidentified persons system (MUPS) as a runaway. The juvenile was later located and taken out of MUPS. Report is being forwarded to juvenile probation.

North Fork misplaced passport
On Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 11:31 a.m. deputies took a telephonic report of a lost or misplaced passport. The event was said to have taken place in the 33000 block of Road 228, and the reporting party required a police report for renewal. A case number was provided to the reporting party. Case closed.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7:34 p.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of found narcotics. The contraband was collected and booked for destruction.

Oakhurst possible threats
On Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 9:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Meadow Vista Drive in regards to possible threats. An investigation was done and report written.

Coarsegold infant reportedly in cardiac arrest
On Thursday, Dec. 6 at 1:50 a.m. a deputy responded to the 30000 block of CA-41 for a medical aid. It was reported that an infant was in cardiac arrest. The child was transported by EMS to the hospital. A report was written and forwarded to Detectives and CPS.

Coarsegold burglary
On Thursday, Dec. 6 at 8:07 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to 32000 block of Big Sandy Drive regarding a burglary. The suspect entered the residence and stole a TV. Suspect(s) are outstanding at this time. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Coarsegold unknown substance found
On Thursday, Dec. 6 at 8:10 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a found unknown substance. The item was collected and no suspects were named. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Thursday, Dec. 6 at 9:53 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation regarding a report of vandalism to a vehicle that was occupied in the 47000 block of Road 620. A report was taken for ocumentation. This case may be closed.

North Fork trespassing, attack on deputy
On Thursday, Dec. 6 at 10:32 a.m. a deputy responded to a rural property in North Fork regarding trespassers on private property. The closest address to the location is in the 31000 block of Road 222. During the incident, a subject attacked a deputy causing injury. The subject was eventually subdued and placed in handcuffs. The subject was later transported to DOC and booked. Forward a copy of this report to the DA’s office for filing of the listed charges.

On Thursday, Dec. 6 at 11:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 55000 block of Road 200 regarding an assault involving a firearm. The suspect left the scene on foot. The suspect’s identity is unknown at this time. Case to be pending.

Oakhurst assault
On Thursday, Dec. 6 at 1:22 p.m. a deputy responded to the 50000 block of School Road in regards to an assault call. A report was written.

Coarsegold domestic dispute
On Thursday, Dec. 6 at 12:40 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a domestic dispute. Both
subjects were contacted and subsequently arrested. Forward this report to the DA’s office for filing of the listed charges.

Ahwahnee missing juvenile
On Thursday, Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a runaway juvenile. The reporting party (mother) advised that her son had run away before and requested a report. A report was taken for documentation. Forward to detectives for follow up.

Ahwahnee public intoxication and abusing emergency call system
On Thursday, Dec. 6 at 4:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Highway 49 regarding a male subject abusing the 911 system. The involved male was arrested and booked for public intoxication. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Oakhurst reported assault against a juvenile
On Thursday, Dec. 6 at 6:21 p.m. a deputy responded to the 40000 block of CA-49 for a reported assault. It was reported that an adult male attacked a juvenile. A suspect was identified and a report written. Case forwarded to DA’s office for charges.

On Thursday, Dec. 6 at 8:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a runaway juvenile report.

Coarsegold female touching another female’s hair
On Friday, Dec. 7 at 5:11 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding an unidentified female who touched another females hair. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Coarsegold missing juvenile
On Friday, Dec. 7 at 9:21 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a habitual runaway juvenile. A report was taken and the minor was placed in the missing and unidentified persons system.

Oakhurst assault and noncompliance with deputy
On Friday, Dec. 7 at 11:08 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Civic Circle regarding an in-progress assault. Upon arrival two male subjects were pushing each other. One male subject resisted arrest and was noncompliant with deputy. He was arrested and transported to MDOC without incident.

Oakhurst report of subject with a weapon, juvenile arrested
On Friday, Dec. 7 at 12:32 p.m., while on patrol on the 50000 Block of School Road, a deputy responded to a report of a subject with a weapon on campus. A juvenile was arrested and a report was written.

Oakhurst Schools On Lockdown As Deputies Locate And Arrest Teen Suspect

Oakhurst fraud
On Friday, Dec. 7 at 12:54 a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding fraudulent checks. The reporting party requested a report for documentation.

North Fork theft
On Friday, Dec. 7 at 4:20 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 54000 block of Pahuma Way regarding a theft. The suspect was reported to have moved to Mexico.

Coarsegold report of threatening social media posts
On Friday, Dec. 7 at 6:58 p.m. a deputy responded to the 33000 block of Old Hickory Lane regarding reports of threatening social media posts. No credible threats were found. A report was taken for documentation.

Coarsegold report of a robbery
On Friday, Dec. 7 at 9:03 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a report of a robbery. The victim was contacted and a statement was obtained. At this point, the identity of the suspect is unknown. Case to be suspended.

North Fork juvenile assault on another juvenile
On Friday, Dec. 7 at 8:56 p.m. a deputy responded to the 33000 block of Road 222 regarding a juvenile assaulting another juvenile. A report was taken and forwarded to the School Resource Deputy. Further follow up will be conducted.

Oakhurst assault
On Saturday, Dec. 8 at 2:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a domestic violence incident. Both subjects were contacted and interviewed and the female was taken to jail. An emergency order of protection was granted but medical treatment was declined. Forward a copy of this report to the DA’s office for filing of the listed charge.

Oakhurst violation of a restraining order
On Saturday, Dec. 8 at 1:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Road 425B regarding a violation of a restraining order. The male suspect was arrested and booked at the jail. Report to be forwarded to District Attorney for filing charges.

Oakhurst assault
On Saturday, Dec. 8 at 8:24 p.m. a deputy took a report of an assault that occurred in the 40000 block of CA-49. All parties were interviewed and a report written. Forward to the DA’s office for review of possible charges.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Sunday, Dec. 9 at 12:02 a.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to an attempted suicide. The individual was contacted and placed on a mental health evaluation hold.

Coarsegold misdemeanor traffic warrants
On Sunday, Dec. 9 at 12:51 a.m. a deputy assisted CHP on a vehicle stop on Circle J Ranch / Road 200. One of the passengers that was contacted had three misdemeanor traffic warrants out of Madera County. Subject was booked into DOC for the warrants.
