Madera County Sheriff’s Log for the Week Ending November 18

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office reports taken locally from Tuesday, November 12, to Monday, November 18, 2019.

Oakhurst Burglary
On Tuesday, November 12, at 8:34 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Canoga Drive in Oakhurst regarding a male subject walking into their residence and taking property. Report written, evidence obtained, and subject arrested.

Ahwahnee Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, November 12, at 3:30 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Silver Spur Trail in Ahwahnee regarding a family disturbance. Report written, subject contacted with no bail warrant, and an arrest was made.

Oakhurst Found Keys
On Tuesday, November 12, at 3:13 p.m., a deputy responded to the intersection of Highway 49 and Highway 41 for found keys. Keys were collected and placed into evidence system for safe keeping. Report taken and closed.

Ahwahnee Danger To Self
On Tuesday, November 12, at 9:46 p.m., a deputy responded to CA-49 regarding a man laying on the ground near the highway, yelling at vehicles passing by. Subject was arrested and booked into Madera County DOC. Case closed.

Oakhurst Welfare & Institutions Hold
On Wednesday, November 13, at 8:46 a.m., a deputy responded to CA-41 in regards to a W&I 300 hold for a male juvenile. A W&I 300 hold was placed and case was forwarded to Madera Child Protective Services.

Ahwahnee Court Order Violation
On Wednesday, November 13, at 6:44 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Hwy 49 regarding a violation of a court order. A report was taken.

Coarsegold Fraud Report
On Thursday, November 14, at 12:58 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to CA-41 regarding a report of fraud. The reporting party advised a male subject had attempted to make purchase using counterfeit money. Upon arrival the male subject was contacted in the parking lot and found to be in possession of several counterfeit bills. Subject was arrested and booked at the Madera County Department of Corrections. Report was written and forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review and charges to be filed.

North Fork Felony Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, November 14, at 8:15 a.m., a deputy was originally dispatched to Road 222 regarding a dog running around the area. Upon contacting the owner of the dog, who provided a false name because he had a felony warrant. He was arrested and found to be in possession of narcotics. He was transported to MDOC where he was booked. Refer to the DA’s office for charges filed.

Ahwahnee Noise Disturbance
On Thursday, November 14, at 2:57 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Forest Ridge Drive in Ahwahnee regarding a disturbance between two roommates. This incident is for documentation only. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst Drug Paraphernalia Arrest
On Thursday, November 14, at 9:19 p.m., a male subject was arrested in the area of Meadow Vista Drive for possession of drug paraphernalia. The male subject was cited and released on scene. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s Office for prosecution.

Oakhurst Narcotics Arrest
On Thursday, November 14, at 10:38 p.m., a male subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamine on Road 425C.

Coarsegold Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, November 14, at 11:36 p.m., a female subject was arrested for two outstanding misdemeanor warrants out of Madera County and several traffic violations on Lucky Lane.

Coarsegold Narcotics Arrest
On Thursday, November 14, at 11:36 p.m., a male subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamine on Lucky Lane.

Oakhurst Drug Paraphernalia Arrest
On Friday, November 15, at 12:06 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on CA-49 on a vehicle that did not have a license plate light. The driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and arrested and issued a citation and released.

Coarsegold Cell Phone Theft
On Friday, November 15, at 3:01 a.m., a report for theft of a cell phone was taken on Lucky Lane.

Oakhurst Burglary
On Friday, November 15, at 7:13 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Big Oak Flat Road in regards to a burglary. An investigation was conducted and report written.

Oakhurst Shoplifting
On Friday, November 15, at 11:16 p.m., a deputy responded to CA-41 for a report of shoplifting report. A witness took photographs of the suspect and a report was written for documentation.

Ahwahnee Narcotics Arrest
On Friday, November 15, at 10:57 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Crooks Mountain Road in regards to a possible assault call. Investigation conducted and a male subject was arrested and booked for narcotic violations, probation violation, and a misdemeanor warrant. Case forwarded to Probation and the Madera County DA to pursue charges.

Oakhurst Possible Threat 
On Friday, November 15, at 11:39 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Vista Heights Lane in regards to a possible threats call. Report taken and charges requested per the victim. Forward to the Madera County DA to pursue the charge.

Coarsegold Burglary
On Saturday, November 16, at 4:13 p.m., a deputy responded to Spring Trail regarding a cold burglary. RP reported documents and tools were stolen. A suspect was named and a report written. Forward to DA’s office for review.

Ahwahnee Narcotics Arrest
On Saturday, November 16, at 7:19 p.m., a deputy responded to CA-49 for a 911 call. A male caller stated family members were in danger and then disconnected the call. The subject was located walking in the road and apparently under the influence of narcotics. He resisted being detained and a short struggle ensued. He was arrested and booked. Case sent to DA’s office for prosecution.

Oakhurst Cell Phone Theft
On Saturday, November 16, at 11:15 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to River Park Road for a report of a theft of a cell phone. A suspect refused to return the cell phone to the original owner and a report was written a forwarded over to the Madera County District Attorneys Office for filing of
felony charges on the suspect.

Oakhurst Narcotics Arrest
On Saturday, November 16, at 11:55 p.m., a deputy contacted a subject on Highway 49, Oakhurst. The subject was found to have a concealed dirk or dagger and drugs. Subject was arrested and booked into DOC.
