Madera County Sheriff’s Log for February 11-18, 2020

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Tuesday, February 11, to Tuesday, February 18, 2020.

Oakhurst Abandoned Property
On Tuesday, February 11, at 10:41 a.m., while on patrol on School Road, a deputy found abandoned property in a creek bed. The property was submitted at the Madera County Sheriff’s Office for safekeeping.

Oakhurst General Incident
On Tuesday, February 11, at 11:22 a.m., a deputy was contacted by a citizen in Oakhurst on Hwy 41 regarding the construction area. Report written and case closed.

Coarsegold Probation Arrest
On Tuesday, February 11, at 2:07 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Lucky Lane regarding a subject on the property with a no bail probation warrant out of Madera County. The subject was located and arrested. A report was written. Forwarded to Madera Probation and closed case.

Coarsegold Theft
On Tuesday, February 11, at 9:34 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Lucky Lane regarding the theft of a wallet. A report was written.

Coarsegold Domestic Dispute
On Tuesday, February 11, at 10:24 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Hwy 41 regarding a domestic dispute. A report was written.

Coarsegold Found Narcotics
On Wednesday, February 12, at 2:35 p.m., deputies dispatched to Hwy 41 for a report of found narcotics. Narcotics were collected and booked into MCSO evidence for destruction.

Coarsegold Alleged Child Neglect
On Thursday, February 13, at 10 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Road 400 regarding an allegation of child neglect. CPS and Mental Health personnel also responded. The allegation was unfounded. This case is to be forwarded to Madera County CPS for continued follow up.

Oakhurst Narcotics Violation 
On Thursday, February 13, at 1:09 p.m., a deputy responded to School Road in regards to a narcotics violation. A report was written and forwarded to Madera County Juvenile Probation for review of charges.

Coarsegold Danger to Self
On Thursday, February 13, at 3:11 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the area of Highway 41 in regards to a possible suicidal subject walking in the roadway. The subject was placed on a W&I 5150 hold and transported to Madera Community Hospital.

Coarsegold Vandalism
On Thursday, February 13, at 5:08 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Lucky Lane for a vandalism to a gaming machine. An investigation was conducted and suspect information was obtained. A report was written.

Coarsegold Vandalism 
On Thursday, February 13, at 8:57 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Lucky Lane for a report of vandalism to a casino slot machine. A male subject playing on the machine damaged the screen and was later contacted. A report was written for documentation.

North Fork Assault
On Friday, February 14, at 12:41 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Road 224 for a report of an assault. The suspects identity is unknown and a report was written for documentation.

Oakhurst Theft
On Friday, February 14, at 11:48 a.m., a cadet was dispatched to Liberty Drive in regards to a report of a theft. Case closed due to lack of suspect(s) or investigative leads.

North Fork Theft
On Friday, February 14, at 12:01 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Road 225 regarding a theft report. An investigation was conducted and a report was written.

Coarsegold Assault
On Friday, February 14, at 1:28 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Morava Road for a report of an assault that occurred several days prior. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorneys Office for review.

Coarsegold Domestic Violence
On Saturday, February 15, at 12:04 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Lucky Lane regarding a possible domestic violence incident. An investigation was completed and a report was written. Case forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for charges to be filed.

Oakhurst Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, February 15, at 12:56 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of CA-49 on a vehicle with tinted windows. Both male occupants were found to have outstanding warrants. Both male subjects were arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC.

Bass Lake Accidental Shooting
On Saturday, February 15, at 6:05 p.m.,  a deputy was dispatched to take a phone report of a subject who accidentally shot himself in the Bass Lake area. A report was written for documentation.

Oakhurst False Tags Arrest
On Saturday, February 15, at 7 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of CA-49 on a vehicle with expired registration but displaying current registration, 2020 tags. The male subject was arrested and issued a citation for displaying false tags.

Oakhurst Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, February 15, at 7:19 p.m., a deputy contacted a subject in the area of CA-41 who had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The male subject was arrested and issued a citation with a new court date.

Oakhurst Felony Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, February 15, at 10:04 p.m., a deputy saw a subject walking on CA-41 that had an outstanding felony warrant. The male subject ran from deputies and was apprehended a short distance and placed under arrest. The male was booked in Madera County DOC on his outstanding felony warrant and for resisting arrest.

Oakhurst Vandalism
On Sunday, February 16, at 10:55 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Sioux Road in the County of Madera regarding vandalism. An investigation was completed and a report was written. Close this case.

Coarsegold Vandalism
On Sunday, February 16, at 11:47 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Sioux Road in the County of Madera regarding a vandalism. While on scene a shotgun was turned over to the deputy to be booked for destruction. A report was written, close this case.

Coarsegold Rape
On Sunday, February 16, at 1:22 p.m., a deputy took a report via telephone regarding a rape that occurred in 2019 on Road 200 in the County of Madera. An initial investigation was completed and a report was written. Forward this case to MCSO detectives for follow up.
