Madera County Sheriff’s Log Feb. 18 – Feb. 24

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Tuesday, February 18, through Monday, February 24, 2020.

Coarsegold Theft
On Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 6:57 a.m., deputy dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a stolen wallet. Report written, evidence obtained and case closed.

North Fork Warrant Arrest
On tuesday, Feb. 18 at 7:31 a.m., the Madera Sheriff’s POP Team conducted warrant services in the mountain division. A male subject was contacted in the area of Road 225 and Douglas Ranger Station Road, North Fork, with a confirmed felony warrant. He was arrested, transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections without incident. Case closed.

Oakhurst Vandalism
On Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 8:20 a.m., deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a possible vandalism. An investigation was completed and a report was written. Close this case.

Raymond Missing Juvenile
On Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 9:15 a.m., deputy dispatched to the 33000 block of Blueberry Hill Drive regarding a missing juvenile. Report written, juvenile entered into M.U.P.S. Juvenile was located and taken out of M.U.P.S.

Oakhurst Motor Vehicle Stop
On Tuesday, Feb 18 at 8:32 p.m., deputies were patrolling in the area of Road 426 and Civic Circle, when they observed a vehicle run a solid red signal light. A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver was found to have an expired California Driver’s License and on probation. The female passenger was found to have a $25,000 misdemeanor warrant out of Madera County. The driver of the vehicle was cited on the violations, and the passenger was booked into Madera County Department of Corrections on the warrant.

Oakhurst Fraud
On Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 1:28 p.m., cadet was dispatched to the 48000 Block of Liberty Drive regarding a fraud that was later determined to be a theft. Recommend case to remain open and forward to detectives for further investigation.

Oakhurst Theft
On Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 1:52 p.m., deputy dispatched to the 49000 block of CA-41 for a report of shoplifting. One juvenile was detained for possession of stolen liquor. Juvenile was cited and released to parents. Case forwarded to Juvenile Court and Juvenile Probation.

North Fork Burglary
On Wednesday, Feb 19 at 3:41 p.m., deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 221 regarding a residential burglary. An investigation was completed and a report was written. Close this case.

Coarsegold Verbal Threats
On Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 8:37 p.m., deputies dispatched to the 33000 block of River Oaks Ct for a report of suspicious activity. Possible threats were made. A report was written and forwarded to detectives.

Coarsegold Aggravated Assault
On Thursday, Feb. 20 at 8:22 a.m., deputy dispatched to the 42000 block of Yosemite Springs Pkwy regarding a family disturbance. An adult male was arrested and booked for assault and criminal threats. Case to be forwarded to the District Attorney.

Coarsegold Mental Health Hold
On Thursday, Feb. 20 at 11:39 a.m., deputy dispatched to the 46000 block of Konklin Rd. regarding a possible W&I 5150 male subject. The male/patient was placed on a W&I 5150 hold and transported by EMS to a hospital for a mental health evaluation. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, Feb. 20 at 2:24 p.m., deputy conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Highway 41 and Lucky Lane. The driver was found to have two outstanding misdemeanor warrants out of Madera County and was arrested, cited and released on scene. Report taken.

Coarsegold Vandalism
On Thursday, Feb. 20 at 5:30 p.m., deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Person Ct. for a report of a vandalism. An investigation was conducted and a report was written.

Coarsegold Simple Assault
On Friday, Feb. 21 at 5:00 a.m., deputy dispatched to the 28000 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway regarding a possible assault report. Upon arrival an investigation was completed and a report was written. One subject was arrested for DUI violations. Case closed.

Coarsegold Danger to Self
On Friday, Feb. 21 at 9:43 p.m., deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Crow Rd. in regards to a subject who was feeling suicidal. An investigation was conducted and report written. Subject was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Coarsegold Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, Feb. 22 at 5:05 p.m., deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Comstock Drive and Oonay Nation Drive on vehicle with lighting violations. The female driver was arrested and cited on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

Oakhurst Runaway
On Saturday, Feb 22 at 5:26 p.m., deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of RD 426 in regards to a runaway juvenile. Reporting party was contacted and report was taken. Juvenile was entered into MUPS and report was written. Juvenile was later located and removed from MUPS.

Coarsegold Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, Feb. 23 at 4:23 p.m., deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 37000 block of Highway 41 regarding a physical fight that was occurring on the side of the road. Upon arrival it was determined no fight had actually occurred. One male subject at the scene had an active local misdemeanor warrant. The male was cited and released on the warrant, case closed.

North Fork Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, Feb. 23 at 5:32 p.m., deputies responded to the area of the 33000 block of Road 222 for a trespassing report. Upon arrival, subject was contacted and placed under arrest for confirmed warrants out of Madera County. Report taken and closed.

Oakhurst Aggravated Assault
On Sunday, Feb. 23 at 7:21 p.m., deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Road 222 regarding the report of domestic violence. An investigation was completed and a report was written. Forward this case to Madera DA’s Office for review of charges filed.
