Madera County Sheriff’s Local Log Through May 27

MADERA COUNTY– Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, May 21 to Sunday, May 27, 2018.

Ahwahnee violation of restraining order, methamphetamine possession
On Monday, May 21 at 12:52 a.m. deputies were dispatched regarding the alleged violation to a restraining order. The male was contacted and found to be in possession of methamphetamine and arrested. He was subsequently cited and released. The recommendation for this case is to be forwarded to the DA’s office for the filing of charges.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Monday, May 21 at 7:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding an elderly female who was gravely disabled and made statements of suicide. The subject was turned over to EMS for a mental health evaluation.

Oakhurst burglary
On Monday, May 21 at 10:20 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding a stolen gardening blower. A report was taken for documentation.

Oakhurst vandalism to vehicle
On Monday, May 21 at 12:05 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Enterprise Drive regarding vandalism to a vehicle. A report was taken and charges were requested by the victim. Refer report to the DA’s office for charges.

Coarsegold residential burglary
On Monday, May 21 at 11:38 a.m. a deputy was dispatched for a residential burglary possibly by a family member. During the investigation it was determined two handguns and a case of ammunition were stolen. Information was obtained and a report was written.

Coarsegold lost property
On Monday, May 21 at 4:24 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of lost property. A report was generated per the request of the reporting party and the case was closed at this time.

Coarsegold burglary
On Monday, May 21 at 8:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Comanche Road regarding a report of suspicious activity occurring at the residence. The reporting a party is neighbor who advised the home owner lives out of town and was advised by the homeowner the home is supposed to be vacant. Upon further investigation, it was found the home was burglarized by unknown suspect(s). The residence was processed for evidence and a report of the incident was taken and forwarded to detectives for follow up.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Monday, May 21 at 11:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a parking lot of a closed business located within the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding a suspicious vehicle. During the investigation it was determined one of the subjects inside this vehicle had an outstanding felony arrest warrant. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Madera County Jail. This has been cleared by arrest.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Monday, May 21 at 11:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a parking lot of a closed business in the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding a report of a suspicious vehicle. During the investigation one of the occupants was found to have two misdemeanor warrants for his arrest. The subject was placed into custody and released with a citation. This case has been cleared by arrest.

Ahwahnee danger to self
On Tuesday, May 22 at 9:20 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a subject who reportedly wanted to commit suicide. He was turned over to EMS for a transport to Madera Community Hospital for mental health evaluation.

Ahwahnee report of fraud on credit card
On Tuesday, May 22 at 1:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Opah Drive regarding possible fraudulent charges on a credit card. Report for documentation. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst found property
On Tuesday, May 22 at 3:36 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Lane in regards to found property. The property was was booked into evidence for safekeeping until the owner can be identified.

Oakhurst burglary
On Wednesday, May 23 at 8:02 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Road 425B regarding a burglary. A report was written, evidence obtained, and case closed.

Oakhurst Welfare and Institutions hold
On Wednesday, May 23 at 12:12 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a welfare and institutions hold.

Coarsegold domestic disturbance
On Wednesday, May 23 at 3:54 p.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, the involved parties were contacted and a report was taken for documentation.

North Fork theft
On Thursday, May 24 at 1:54 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Redinger Lake regarding a theft. A report was written and case closed.

Coarsegold burglary
On Thursday, May 24 at 1:50 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Kennedy Road in regards to a burglary investigation. Upon arrival, the victim was contacted and the scene processed for physical evidence. Currently, there are no witnesses or suspects.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Thursday, May 24 at 3:57 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding an intoxicated male subject causing a disturbance with security and also attempting to drive away in a vehicle. The male subject was placed in custody and booked at the jail for public intoxication. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Raymond family disturbance and assault
On Thursday, May 24 at 6:29 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a family disturbance. An adult male was placed under citizen’s arrest for battery to his mother. The suspect was also booked on two out of county warrants. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Ahwahnee danger to self
On Thursday, May 24 at 8 p.m. deputies responded for a report of a suicidal subject. After interviewing the subject, she was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and sent with EMS for an evaluation.

Oakhurst traffic stop results in warrant citation
On Saturday, May 26 at 1:18 p.m. deputies conducted a motor vehicle stop. The driver was found to have a traffic warrant, and was cited and released.

Oakhurst verbal disturbance reveals traffic warrant
On Saturday, May 26 at 2:23 p.m. deputies were dispatched to a verbal disturbance at a community park. The male was cited and released on an unrelated out-of-county traffic warrant.

North Fork dogs attacking livestock, dogs shot
On Sunday, May 27 at 9:37 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 222 for a report of dogs attacking the reporting party’s live stock. Upon arrival, the reporting party had shot three of the dogs and five of his livestock were severely maimed. Animal control was called to respond to the scene and remove the dogs. A report was written.
