Madera County Sheriff’s Local Log Through May 13

MADERA COUNTY– Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, May 7 to Sunday, May 13, 2018.

North Fork danger to self
On Monday, May 7 at 1 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a report of a female subject causing a disturbance and making statements of causing harm to others. Subject was placed on mental health hold for an evaluation and transported to the Madera Community Hospital by ambulance. Report of incident was written for documentation purposes.

Coarsegold Coroner’s report
On Monday, May 7 at 8:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a coroners report. An investigation was completed and report was written.

Oakhurst found property
On Monday, May 7 at 9:53 a.m. a deputy was flagged down on the 28000 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway regarding found property. The owner of the property was located and property was returned.

Coarsegold stabbing
On Monday, May 7 at 1:25 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of a stabbing. Deputies arrived to find the victim with multiple stab wounds to their arm. The injuries were controlled at the scene and the victim was transported to the hospital for medical care. An investigation was completed and evidence was obtained. No arrests were made at this time.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Monday, May 7 at 2:29 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 in regards to an intoxicated subject. The subject was located and found to be unable to care for himself, and was arrested. The subject was booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections.

Oakhurst expired tags, open container
On Monday, May 7 at 3:38 p.m. a deputy contacted a subject at the 40000 block of CA-41 who had expired tags on his vehicle. The subject was on probation and had an open container in the vehicle. He was cited and released.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Monday, May 7 at 6:40 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Crow Road regarding a report of a vandalism. Report of incident was taken and case was closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst traffic stop
On Monday, May 7 at 11:10 p.m. deputies conducted a vehicle stop near CA-41 and River Falls Road. During the traffic stop the driver was cited for misdemeanor violations and released at the scene.

Coarsegold report of threats results in mental health hold
On Tuesday, May 8 at 12:49 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a report of threats made to the reporting party. After investigation, it was determined there were no threats made and reporting party was suffering from mental health issues. Subject was placed on a mental health hold and transported to Madera Community Hospital by ambulance. A report was written for documentation purposes.

Oakhurst Coroner’s report
On Tuesday, May 8 at 3:53 a.m. a deputy self-dispatched to a medical aid call of an unresponsive subject. Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) was attempted, to no avail. A Coroner’s case report was taken and the next of kin, who was present, was notified. This report should be forwarded to the Coroner’s Office for further investigation.

Oakhurst assault
On Tuesday, May 8 at 8:14 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Pine Ridge Road regarding a verbal disturbance. The reporting party stated he was assaulted by a male subject during the incident but was not certain of the suspect’s name and had no contact information for him. A report of the incident was taken and the case was closed until the reporting party is able to provide more information pertaining to the suspect’s name or contact information.

Oakhurst found property
On Wednesday, May 9 at 3:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of School Road regarding found property. The property was taken and booked at the Oakhurst Substation for safekeeping, and a report was written.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Wednesday, May 9 at 4:02 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Ely Way regarding vandalism. A report was taken and the case was closed.

Coarsegold bike riding at night with no light
On Wednesday, May 9 at 10:22 p.m. a deputy conducted a subject stop in the area of Hwy 41 and Road 417 for a subject riding a bicycle at night without lights. The subject was found to have two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. He was cited and released at the scene.

Coarsegold family disturbance and assault
On Thursday, May 10 at 3:01 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a family disturbance and an assault. The subjects were contacted and statements taken. The statements conflicted with one another and the alleged victim refused to press charges. Subjects were separated and a report written for documentation.

Oakhurst fraud
On Thursday, May 10 at 12:10 p.m. a deputy responded to the 49000 block of Road 426 regarding a fraudulent transaction with a Google Play card. The victim was interviewed, and a report taken and completed.

Oakhurst report of domestic violence and public intoxication
On Friday, May 11 at 3:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Highway 41 and Victoria Lane for a possible domestic violence incident. Both subjects were located and arrested for public intoxication.

Ahwahnee Coroner’s report
On Friday, May 11 at 4:29 p.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a coroner’s investigation. The death was from natural causes.

Oakhurst family dispute
On Friday, May 11 at 5:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a family dispute. A report was taken for documentation.

Coarsegold forgery/counterfeit bill
On Friday, May 11 at 7:17 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of CA-41 regarding a counterfeit bill that was passed. The bill/evidence was collected and booked into property as evidence. The suspect has an address out of county. Report to be closed for now.

O’Neals juvenile in need of evaluation
On Friday, May 11 at 10:09 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a juvenile who was possibly in need of a mental health evaluation hold. The involved juvenile was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to a hospital by EMS for a medical/mental health evaluation.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Friday, May 11 at 11:21 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway regarding a male making threats towards other subjects. The involved adult male was placed in custody for public intoxication. Charges were declined at this time regarding the reported criminal threats. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication.

Oakhurst commercial burglary
On Sunday, May 13 at 7:22 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of CA-41 regarding a commercial burglary. An investigation was completed, evidence was collected and a report was taken.

Coarsegold mail theft
On Sunday, May 13 at 8:33 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Pony Express regarding an outside post office drop slot mailbox that was broken into. Unknown if anything was stolen at this time.

Oakhurst child custody order dispute
On Sunday, May 13 at 9:38 a.m. a deputy responded to a child custody order dispute. An investigation was conducted and a report was written.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Sunday, May 13 at 1:41 p.m. a deputy contacted a subject at CA-41 and Road 417. The subject had two misdemeanor no bail warrants. He was arrested and transported to MDOC without incident.

Coarsegold burglary
On Sunday, May 13 at 8:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence on Revis Road regarding a report of a burglary. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.
