Madera County Sheriff’s Local Log Through Mar. 4

MADERA COUNTY– Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Feb. 26 to Sunday, Mar. 4, 2018.

Coarsegold domestic disturbance
On Monday, Feb. 26 at 5:27 a.m. deputies were dispatched to Sioux Road for a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed subjects were in a verbal argument only and no physical altercation occurred. Incident was documented by report.

Coarsegold report of harassment
On Monday, Feb. 26 at 2:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Lilley Mountain Drive for a report of harassment. An investigation was conducted and evidence was collected. No suspect was identified. A report was written for documentation at this time.

Oakhurst motor vehicle stop yields suspected methamphetamine
On Monday, Feb. 26 at 7:31 p.m. a deputy was on routine patrol in a marked sheriff’s patrol vehicle at a closed business located within the 40000 block of Junction Drive. The deputy observed a parked vehicle with two males inside. During the investigation it was determined one of the males in the vehicle was in possession of a white powder/rock substance suspected to be methamphetamine. The suspected methamphetamine weighed .87 grams without packaging. This male was placed into custody and released with a citation. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charge.

Coarsegold assault
On Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 12:14 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a female who assaulted two security officers. The female was placed under citizen’s arrest at the scene. During the investigation, the female suspect was also found to be on active parole, and a hold was placed. She was later transported to Madera County Department of Corrections. While being booked into jail, the female suspect assaulted a law enforcement officer. The case is being forwarded to Madera County District Attorney’s Office for charges.

Coarsegold bullet hole in window
On Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 3:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Mohawk Road in regards to a bullet hole in a window. A report was taken. Close the case.

O’Neals embezzlement
On Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 3:54 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 26000 block of Outback Industrial Way in regards to missing funds. A report was generated to forward to the detectives bureau.

Oakhurst assault with a flashlight
On Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 8:44 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 49000 block of Vista Heights Lane regarding an assault on a male subject. One male subject was hit in the head with a flashlight by another male subject. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. Case forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review of charges.

Oakhurst motorcycle driver without a license
On Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 10:50 p.m. while a deputy was on duty, he noticed a motorcycle with no license plate being driven on the roadway at Road 426 and John West Road. The motorcycle pulled over and when the deputy made contact with the driver it was later learned the driver of the motorcycle did not have a driver’s license. Driver was cited.

Coarsegold felony warrant, loaded firearm, possession
On Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 2:56 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Road 416/Savage Road regarding a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of the road. During the contact an adult female was arrested for a felony warrant out of Fresno County and an adult male was arrested for being in possession of a loaded firearm in the vehicle and for being in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were booked into MCDOC. Case report was written and filed with the District Attorney’s Office for Prosecution.

Oakhurst verbal argument between students
On Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 4:46 p.m. a deputy responded to the 50000 block of School Road, regarding a verbal argument between students. A report was taken for documentation only. Case Closed.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 5:03 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding an agitated male who was detained by the security staff. The suspect was placed in custody and booked for possession of drug paraphernalia and battery. Report is to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Coarsegold found property
On Thursday, Mar. 1 at 8 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding found property. A report written and case closed.

North Fork motor vehicle stop
On Thursday, Mar. 1 at 9:16 a.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop near Road 274 and Gentle Way. The deputy found the driver of the vehicle had two traffic misdemeanor warrants out of Madera County. The subject was cited and released.

Oakhurst vehicle burglary
On Thursday, Mar. 1 at 10:02 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 in regards to a vehicle burglary report. The victim was contacted and a report was later written. Currently, there are no witnesses or suspect(s).

Oakhurst theft of wood
On Thursday, Mar. 1 at 3:41 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 426 in regards to a theft report. The victim and several witnesses were later contacted. The victim reported that approximately two cords of wood were stolen from her property. Currently, there are no suspect(s) or investigative leads.

Oakhurst report of computer repair incomplete despite payment
On Thursday, Mar. 1 at 3:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a possible fraud that occurred in the 41000 block of Road 222. Further investigation revealed that the reporting party voluntarily sent money to a company that had promised to fix a virus issues on his personal computer. The issues were not resolved after the money had been sent. A report was taken for documentation only.

Coarsegold welfare check
On Thursday, Mar. 1 at 6:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Road 417 regarding a welfare check of a female. This report is regarding an adult female who was scammed by telephone. Report to be closed.

Raymond report of assault on grandmother, criminal threats
On Thursday, Mar. 1 at 7:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding an adult male who was reported to have assaulted his grandmother. The male suspect was arrested and booked for assault and making criminal threats towards family members. Report is to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Friday, Mar. 2 at 9:39 a.m. a deputy responded to the 35000 block of CA-41 regarding an intoxicated male subject laying on the road. The subject was booked into Madera Department of Corrections for public intoxication and for a no bail felony warrant out California Department of Corrections. Case forwarded to DA’s office to file charges.

O’Neals assault, juveniles fighting
On Friday, Mar. 2 at 11:41 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Road 200, in regards to a fight between two juvenile females. A report was taken. Case closed.

Coarsegold negligent discharge of firearm
On Friday, Mar. 2 at 3:12 p.m. deputies responded to the 31000 block of Road 400 regarding shots fired. One subject was arrested and booked into Madera County Department of Correct for for negligent discharge of a firearm and other weapons charges. Case forwarded to DA’s office for charges.

Coarsegold criminal threats
On Friday, Mar. 2 at 9:01 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a male who was heard making criminal threats. The suspect’s identification is unknown at this time. Report to be forwarded to detectives to attempt to identify suspect.

Coarsegold disturbance, violating criminal protective order
On Saturday, Mar. 3 at 9:16 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 3700 block of Ravensbrook regarding a verbal disturbance. A male was taken into custody and booked on a probation hold and violating a criminal protective order.

Oakhurst juvenile danger to self
On Saturday, Mar. 3 at 4:09 p.m. a deputy responded regarding a juvenile who attempted to commit suicide by ingesting several pills. The juvenile was taken to Valley Children’s Hospital under mental health evaluation hold.

Ahwahnee Coroner’s report
On Saturday, Mar. 3 at 5:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Windsong Way regarding a Coroner’s report to be forwarded to detectives.

Oakhurst theft of water heater
On Sunday, Mar. 4 at 7:51 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Pierce Drive regarding a vandalism. An investigation was completed and it was found a possible theft had occurred: a previous renter had possibly taken the hot water heater prior to moving out. The reporting party requested a case number for documentation purposes only. A report was completed to document the incident.

Coarsegold found property returned, owner arrested
On Sunday, Mar. 4 at 6:05 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding found property. Upon arrival, the deputy was able to locate the property owner. Upon further investigation, the property owner had two confirmed misdemeanor warrants for her arrest. She was taken into custody and transported to the Madera County Department of Corrections.

Oakhurst report of missing Fresno County adult
On Sunday, Mar. 4 at 11:39 p.m. deputies took a voluntary missing adult report for a subject living in Fresno County. At this time it is unknown where exactly is located. Subject was put into the missing persons system. A report was also taken for this incident.
