Madera County Sheriff’s Local Log Through Mar. 25

MADERA COUNTY– Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Mar. 19 to Sunday, Mar. 25, 2018.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Monday, Mar. 19 at 12:38 a.m. a deputy responded to the 46500 block of Lucky Lane regarding a subject who was highly intoxicated and causing a disturbance at the business. This subject was contacted in public outside of the business and found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and was arrested.

Ahwahnee theft
On Monday, Mar. 19 at 9:18 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Crooks Mountain Road regarding theft of items from the property. The victim requested charges. The suspect later admitted to taking some items. Refer to the DA’s office for charges filed.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, Mar. 19 at 12:18 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Lauri Lane regarding a theft that occurred months ago. A report was taken. Close the case due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst forgery
On Monday, Mar. 19 at 3:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 for a forgery at a local bank. A report was generated and detectives unit briefed. Forward to detectives.

Coarsegold Coroner’s report
On Monday, Mar. 19 at 5:36 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located within the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a report of an unattended death. During the investigation it was determined the deceased likely passed away from natural causes. The deceased was later transported via the Madera County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office to the Madera County Morgue. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office for review/follow up investigation.

Ahwahnee family disturbance and warrant citation
On Monday, Mar. 19 at 5:56 p.m. a deputy was regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon further investigation it was determined is was verbal dispute between father and son. The father was found to have misdemeanor warrants out of Madera County and was cited out on the warrants. A report was written and case to be closed.

Oakhurst domestic disturbance
On Monday, Mar. 19 at 8:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a domestic disturbance. A report was written for documentation purposes and the case was closed.

Coarsegold security concern
On Monday, Mar. 19 at 9:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located within the 46000 block of Lucky Lane, regarding a male tribal counsel member they were concerned about. During the investigation it was determined no criminal threat had been made by the male towards the security staff, but they wanted the incident documented. This case was taken for documentation only and has been closed.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Tuesday, Mar. 20 at 8:52 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of 52000 block of Pettitt Road regarding an elderly female who had a flood in her home and could not turn off the water. Upon the deputy’s arrival it was determined the female could not care for herself due to dangers within the home. Adult Protective Services responded and the deputy placed a protective hold on the subject, and her transported to the hospital for family to respond.

Coarsegold theft
On Tuesday, Mar. 20 at 8:57 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 28000 block of Creek Road regarding theft of items from a mail box cluster. Report taken for documentation.

Coarsegold fraud
On Tuesday, Mar. 20 at 9:52 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a fraud call from Jamaica. A report was taken for documentation.

Coarsegold theft of punching bag
On Tuesday, Mar. 20 at 2:09 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Penny Lane regarding theft of a punching bag. The victim requested a report for documentation

Oakhurst suspicious financial activity on bank accounts
On Tuesday, Mar. 20 at 6:03 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Sheriff’s substation regarding a report of suspicious financial activity on the complainants’ bank accounts. This case has been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Detective Division for follow up investigation.

Coarsegold narcotics found
On Tuesday, Mar. 20 at 8:01 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Luck Lane regarding found narcotics. The items were collected and marked for destruction.

North Fork danger to self
On Tuesday, Mar. 20 at 9:29 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a report of a suspicious female subject in the area yelling and knocking on residents’ doors. The female was located at her residence displaying erratic behavior and placed on 72 hours mental health hold and transported by ambulance to Madera Community Hospital.

Coarsegold narcotics found
On Wednesday, Mar. 21 at 2:08 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding found narcotics on the casino floor. The item was collected and booked into property for destruction. Recommend this case be closed.

O’Neals danger to self
On Wednesday, Mar. 21 at 9:47 a.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a juvenile who wanted to commit suicide. A report was taken. A protective hold was placed.

Coarsegold report of assault
On Wednesday, Mar. 21 at 11:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a report of an intoxicated male subject who advised he wanted to report an assault that occurred to him earlier that evening. A report was taken of the assault and after viewing surveillance video of the incident it was found to be unfounded and the case was closed.

North Fork warrant arrest
On Thursday, Mar. 22 the Madera Sheriff POP Team received a tip on the location of a male subject with an active arrest warrant. Through follow-up of this tip the male subject was located in the and subsequently arrested. He was transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections without incident. Case closed by arrest.

Ahwahnee family disturbance, mental health evaluation hold
On Thursday, Mar. 22 at 6:28 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a family disturbance. The involved adult male was placed on a mental health evaluation hold. The male was transported to a hospital by ambulance for a mental evaluation. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold narcotics and concealed fixed-blade knife
On Thursday, Mar. 22 8:58 p.m. a deputy conducted a pedestrian check in the area of Road 416 and Savage Road. A male subject was contacted and found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and a concealed fixed-blade knife. The male subject was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s Office for prosecution.

Oakhurst report of fraud
On Friday, Mar. 23 at 9:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Covey Court in regards to a fraud report. The victim was contacted and a report was later completed. This report will be forwarded to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office for follow up investigation.

Coarsegold theft
On Friday, Mar. 23 at 11:06 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a theft that occurred in the 31000 block of Road 400.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Friday, Mar. 23 at 1:50 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a vandalism investigation. Upon arrival, the victim was contacted. Surveillance cameras captured the incident. At this time, the identity of the suspect is unknown.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Friday, Mar. 23 at 4:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a vandalism to a business. There was no witnesses or leads.

Coarsegold found suspected narcotics
On Friday, Mar. 23 at 5:31 p.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of some found property that was possibly narcotics. The property was picked up and booked for destruction due to no owner being located.

Coarsegold fraud, lost ATM card
On Friday, Mar. 23 at 8:52 p.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of a lost ATM card. The intial investigation showed the card may have been used. A report was taken for victim and for the detective unit for review.

Oakhurst juveniles missing and found, one deemed danger to self
On Friday, Mar. 23 at 10: p.m. a deputy responded in regards to three runaway juveniles. Deputies located the juveniles lost in the area. One of the juveniles advised she wanted to harm herself so she was placed on a mental health evaluation hold. The juvenile was transported to the hospital by EMS. A report was written to document the incident.

North Fork narcotics
On Saturday, Mar. 24 at 1:08 a.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop on Road 222 and Road 225. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and released with a citation. All evidence was booked at the sheriff’s office. Report forwarded to the DA’s office for charges.

Oakhurst burglary report
On Saturday, Mar. 24 at 10:20 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a vandalism in the 40000 block of CA-41. An investigation was conducted and evidence was collected. This case is to be closed due to a lack of suspect information.

Oakhurst caller reports disturbance, gets arrested
On Saturday, Mar. 24 at 10:04 p.m. deputies responded for a report of a possible domestic disturbance. On arrival, there was no disturbance but the caller was found to be intoxicated. He became aggressive with deputies and was taken to County Jail.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Sunday, Mar. 25 at 12:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a domestic violence incident. The involved suspect was located, arrested booked for domestic violence. A report will be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Sunday, Mar. 25 at 6:49 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a report of a domestic disturbance. A female subject advised she was assaulted by her boyfriend during the disturbance and he was arrested and booked at the Madera County jail. An Emergency Protective Order was granted to the female and a report of the incident was forwarded to the District Attorneys Office.
