Madera County Sheriff’s Local Log Through June 17

MADERA COUNTY– Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, June 11 to Sunday, June 17, 2018.

North Fork traffic stop, warrant arrest and citation
On Monday, June 11 at 1:09 a.m. a vehicle stop on Road 200 near Wyle Ranch Road in North Fork led to an warrant arrest and subsequent cited release.

Oakhurst coroner’s case
On Monday, June 11 at 5:59 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of CA-41 and Miami Mountain Trail for a report of a coroner’s case. A report was written and forwarded to Madera County Sheriffs Office Coroners Division for follow up.

Oakhurst criminal threats
On Monday, June 11 at 9:33 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding criminal threats. A report was written and case forwarded to the Fresno Police Department.

Oakhurst possible fraud
On Monday, June 11 at 11:03 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation to investigate a possible fraud that occurred in the 37000 block of Road 422. A report was taken for documentation. Currently, there are no suspects or investigative leads.

Coarsegold theft from vehicle
On Monday, June 11 at 11:18 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Hwy 41 regarding theft of items from inside vehicle. A report was written, evidence obtained, and case closed.

Coarsegold burglary to vehicle
On Monday, June 11 at 11:18 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Hwy 41 regarding a vehicle burglary. A report was written, evidence obtained, and case closed.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Monday, June 11 at 3:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 47000 block of Road 417 in regards to a vandalism report. On arrival the victim was contacted and a report was later written.

Oakhurst lost or stolen cell phone
On Monday, June 11 at 5:05 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding a report of a lost or stolen cellphone. According to the complainant the phone was last seen at a business located within the 40000 block of CA-41. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold assault
On Monday, June 11 at 10:13 p.m. a deputy responded to the area of Big Sandy Dr. and Pickens Place in regards to an altercation between two females. An investigation was completed and the female victim was transported to a hospital by EMS. A report was completed and forwarded to the DA’s Office for prosecution.

Oakhurst warrant arrest and citation
On Tuesday, June 12 at 10:56 a.m. a deputy was contacted by a citizen while on patrol in the 49000 block of Civic Circle. The citizen requested to be cited and released on an outstanding warrant. Case can be closed.

Bass Lake stolen gun
On Tuesday, June 12 at 11:35 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to take a phone report of a stolen gun that happened in the area of Road 432 and Acorn Road. A report was written for documentation.

North Fork found wallet contains cocaine
On Tuesday, June 12 at 2:07 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 222 for a report of a found wallet that had cocaine in it. The items were booked in the Madera County Sheriffs Office substation as found property.

Oakhurst shoplifting
On Tuesday, June 12 at 2:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 in regards to a commercial shoplifting investigation. Video surveillance was obtained and a report was written.

Oakhurst family disturbance
On Tuesday, June 12 at 2:55 p.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a family disturbance. A report was taken for documentation.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Tuesday, June 12 at 3:51 p.m. deputies were dispatched for a report of a 911 hang up with a female stating that she was hit in the head and that he was coming. The subjects were contacted and the male was arrested for felony domestic violence and booked into the Madera County DOC.

Bass Lake sinking boat, several infractions
On Tuesday, June 12 at 3:52 p.m.. while conducting routing uniformed boat patrol on Bass Lake, a vessel was reported to be sinking in Indian Cove. The boat was located and the owner was assisted in getting the boat off the lake before it sank. The owner was cited for several infractions.

Oakhurst traffic stop results in arrests
On Wednesday, June 13 at 1:44 a.m. deputies conducted a vehicle stop near the 40000 block of Highway 41. During the investigation two subjects were placed into custody and transported to the Madera County Detention facility. Charges were filed with the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

North Fork coroner’s case
On Wednesday, June 13 at 11:12 a.m. a deputy responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Oakhurst found wallet
On Wednesday, June 13 at 9:57 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive in regards to a found wallet. Attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful. The wallet was later booked for safe keeping.

North Fork logging equipment vandalized
On Wednesday, June 13 at 6:02 p.m. a deputy responded to a vandalism report in the area of Fernandez trailhead and Beasore Road. Several pieces of logging equipment were vandalized by an unknown subject. A report was written and will be forwarded to the Forestry Department for follow up.

Oakhurst methamphetamine possession
On Thursday, June 14 at 1:25 a.m., a vehicle stop near the intersections of CA-41 and CA-49 resulted in the arrest of a woman for possession of methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia. Arrestee cited and released.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Thursday, June 14 at 6:43 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Horseshoe Drive in regards to a vandalism report. Case should be closed at this time due to lack of leads.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, June 14 at 8:11 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Victoria Lane regarding theft of two bicycles. During the investigation it was determined that a wireless speaker was also stolen from the property. There were no suspect(s) witnesses, or investigative leads in this case.

Oakhurst adult thought to be missing, found
On Thursday, June 14 at 10:57 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a phone report regarding a missing adult. The reporting party has been unable to contact the missing adult for two days. The adult was entered into MUPS. The missing adult was later located and removed from MUPS.

North Fork danger to self
On Thursday, June 14 at 3:41 p.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a male subject who needed to be placed on a mental health evaluation hold.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Thursday, June 14 at 2:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a female who was possibly in need of a mental health evaluation hold. The female was placed on a mental health evaluation hold.

North Fork found bike
On Thursday, June 14 at 3:51 p.m. a deputy responded to the 57000 block of Road 225 for a report of a found bicycle. The owner could not be determined. The bicycle was booked as found property and a report written for documentation.

North Fork vehicle burglary
On Thursday, June 14 at 9:34 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Mission Drive in regards to a vehicle burglary. An investigation was conducted and report written.

Oakhurst illegally parked vehicle, expired registration, towed
On Thursday, June 14 at 11:01 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle check in the 40000 block of CA-41 on an illegally parked vehicle. The vehicle was determined to have expired registration and false registration stickers. The vehicle was towed and stored. Case closed.

Friant arrest at Millerton Lake
On Thursday, June 14 at 9:57 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Meadows Campground at Millerton Lake regarding a subject that was possibly in need of a mental health evaluation hold. An arrest was made and a report was written.

Coarsegold found narcotics
On Friday, June 15 at 9:10 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding found narcotics. The narcotics were seized and booked into the Oakhurst Substation. Report written for documentation purposes. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Friday, June 15 at 1:09 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 38000 block of Golden Ball Drive in regards to a female who was possibly in need of a mental health evaluation hold. Deputy determined that the female subject was a danger to self and was placed on a mental health evaluation hold.

Oakhurst domestic disturbance
On Friday, June 15 at 1:08 p.m. deputies were dispatched regarding a domestic disturbance. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. Forward the case to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for charges.

Coarsegold report of suspicious vehicle, warrant arrest
On Friday, June 15 at 4:57 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 417 and Apache Road regarding a suspicious vehicle being driven in the area. The described vehicle was located and contacted at a residence in the 31000 block of Blackfoot Road. The male driver was identified as having a felony no bail warrant out of Madera County. The subject was arrested and booked on the warrant.

Bass Lake missing person report
On Friday, June 15 at 6:37 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 222 and Road 426 regarding a report of a missing person. Attempts were made to locate to the missing person with no results. Report to be forwarded to detectives.

Coarsegold violation of restraining order
On Friday, June 15 at 8:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a patrol check. The deputy located a female guest who had a valid restraining order against her being at the establishment. Female was arrested and booked into Madera County jail.

Coarsegold vehicle stop, misdemeanor warrant citation
On Friday, June 15 at 11:345 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop in the area of CA-41 and Comstock Drive for a lighting violation. Driver was found to have two misdemeanor warrants. Driver was cited at the scene on the warrants.

Coarsegold civil dispute
On Saturday, June 16 at 9:06 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Woodmar Drive in regards to a civil dispute involving property. During the course of the investigation a male subject was arrested for resisting. Forward case to Madera County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

Oakhurst suspect attempting to cash a bad check
On Saturday, June 16 at 2:02 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding a female suspect who attempted to cash a bad check. An investigation was conducted and a suspect has been identified. Forward case to detectives.

Coarsegold burglary to vehicle
On Saturday, June 16 at 4:42 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a vehicle burglary. Evidence was collected at the crime scene. Report is to be forwarded to the ID TECH for review of the evidence. This report is also to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Coarsegold subject reportedly shooting BB gun at guests
On Saturday, June 16 at 11:02 p.m. deputies responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of a subject shooting a BB gun at guests. The victim was contacted and a report written. The suspect was unable to be located. Close case due to lack of investigative leads.

Coarsegold disturbance and public intoxication
On Saturday, June 16 at 11:52 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for an unknown disturbance between a male and female near the bus depot. An investigation was conducted and the male was arrested for public intoxication. The subject was later cited and turned over to family who were all visiting from out of town. A report was written and sent to the District Attorney for prosecution.

Coarsegold vehicle stop results in arrest and citation
On Sunday, June 17 at 3:45 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Glacier Court and Glacier Drive for a vehicle that had not front license plate. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and issued a citation for driving on a suspended license.
