Madera County Sheriff’s Local Log Through July 1

MADERA COUNTY– Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, June 25 to Sunday, July 1, 2018.

Oakhurst narcotics via bike stop
On Monday, June 25 at 1:20 a.m. a bicycle stop at the intersection of Highway 41 and Golden Oak Loop resulted in the arrest of a local woman for possession of methamphetamine. Case to be forwarded to the Madera County DA and to Mariposa County Probation Dept.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Monday, June 25 at 2:16 a.m. deputies were dispatched in regards to a domestic violence report. An investigation was completed and a male subject was arrested. The male subject was booked into the Madera County Jail. A report was written and sent to the DA’s Office for prosecution.

Coarsegold narcotics via vehicle stop
On Monday, June 25 at 12:41 a.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop in the 35000 block of Highway 41. A male subject was contacted and found to be on active probation out of Madera County. A search of his person was conducted and a usable amount of narcotics was located. The male subject was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail for the narcotics violation and a probation hold. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s Office for prosecution.

Wishon coroner’s report
On Monday, June 25 at 7:16 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 54000 block of Los Pinos Lane regarding a coroner’s case. A report was written and case forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Chief Coroner for review.

Oakhurst report of flasher results in arrest for resisting arrest
On Monday, June 25 at 8:17 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Canoga Drive for a report of a male that exposed himself to a female at a residence. The male was later located and arrested for resisting arrest and booked into the Madera County DOC.

Coarsegold found child
On Monday, June 25 at 11:21 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of CA-41 in regards to a found child. A report was taken for documentation and will be forwarded to the Madera County Department of Social Services for informational purposes. See narrative for details.

O’Neals theft
On Monday, June 25 at 1:56 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 26000 block of Butterfield Stage Place in regards to a theft report. The victim was contacted and a report was taken. Currently, there are no suspect(s) or witnesses.

Oakhurst vehicle stop results in felony warrant arrest
On Monday, June 25 at 7:56 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 49 and Meadow Vista Drive for vehicle code violations. Passenger was found to have two felony no bail warrants for his arrest. He was arrested, transported and booked into Madera County DOC without incident. Report written and case closed by arrest.

Oakhurst burglary
On Monday, June 25 at 10:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business parking lot located within the 48000 block of Victoria Lane regarding a report of an attempted vehicle burglary. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Tuesday, June 26 at 2:24 a.m. a deputy responded in regards to a domestic violence report. An investigation was completed and the male subject was determined to be the primary aggressor. The male subject was not located. A report was written and sent to the DA’s Office for prosecution.

Raymond misdemeanor warrants
On Tuesday, June 26 at 5:15 a.m. a deputy conducted a subject check in the area of Road 415 and Road 612 on a male that was walking on the roadway. The male was found to have two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. The male was issued a citation with a new court date and released.

Ahwahnee possible fraud investigation
On Tuesday, June 26 at 11:09 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Silver Spur Trail in regards to a possible fraud investigation. A report was taken for documentation only.

North Fork suspicious activity
On Tuesday, June 26 at 11:11 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 224 regarding suspicious activity. Report written and case closed.

Ahwahnee vandalism
On Tuesday, June 26 at 11:38 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Road 600 in regards to a possible vandalism.

Oakhurst fraud investigation
On Tuesday, June 26 at 2:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Oak Park Way in regards to a fraud investigation. Supporting documents were obtained and booked into evidence. Case to be forwarded to the Madera County Detective Unit for further investigation.

Oakhurst burglary
On Wednesday, June 27 at 7:53 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Hwy 41 in Oakhurst regarding a burglary. Report written, evidence obtained and case
suspended pending further investigation.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Wednesday, June 27 at 7:08 a.m. deputies served a search warrant in the 38000 block of Leaf Wood Lane in regards to an indoor marijuana cultivation operation.

Coarsegold possible overdose
On Wednesday, June 27 at 10:34 a.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a possible overdose. The involved party is placed on a mental health evaluation hold.

Coarsegold civil disagreement
On Wednesday, June 27 at 9:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 29000 block of Revis Road regarding a possible burglary. After speaking with the reporting party it was determined that the incident was a civil matter. Report for documentation purposes only.

Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, June 27 at midnight a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding the theft of a key to a U-Haul vehicle. There were no suspects or investigative leads in this case. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst lost property
On Thursday, June 28 at 12:41 p.m. a deputy was dispatched for a phone report regarding lost property that occurred in the area of CA-41 and Road 222. Report written for documentation purposes. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold lost property
On Thursday, June 28 at 1:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Spring Trail regarding a report of lost property. Report for documentation purposes only.

Bass Lake subject throwing ax at tree arrested for felony warrant
On Thursday, June 28 at 2 p.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 54000 block of Road 432 regarding a subject throwing an ax at a tree on a roadway. The subject was located and found to have a local felony probation warrant and booked at Madera Department of Corrections.

Oakhurst fraud involving rental agreement
On Thursday, June 28 at 3:18 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 38000 block CA-41 regarding a female subject living inside a home that was for sale. A realtor contacted the female subject, and the female provided a signed rental agreement. During the investigation, the female was found to be a victim of a rental scam, and the rental agreement was not valid. Report written for documentation purposes.

North Fork domestic violence
On Thursday, June 28 at midnight deputies responded for a report of a female calling for help. Deputies arrived and could hear a female inside the residence calling for help and the sound of a struggle. Deputies forced entry and located a female subject with significant injuries. She was transported by ambulance to the hospital. A male suspect at the scene was detained and later booked at Madera DOC.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Thursday, June 28 at 10:11 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Winchester Way in regards to a domestic. After further investigation, it was determined no domestic occurred. The female half was transported for a mental health evaluation hold.

Yosemite missing person located
On Friday, June 29 at 6:20 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Dr for a missing persons report by phone. The missing person was entered into MUPS. The missing person was later contacted and was removed from MUPS. Report written for documentation purposes. Refer report closed.

Bass Lake public intoxication
On Saturday, June 30 at 9:18 p.m. a deputy was contacted by The Pines Resort security who advised they were looking for a drunk subject who had just pulled the fire alarm at the business located in the 39000 block of Marina Drive. Deputy located the subject who was very drunk. The subject was arrested for drunk in public and booked into the county jail.

Oakhurst domestic disturbance
On Sunday, July 1 at 3:43 p.m. deputies responded for a report a domestic disturbance. A report was generated and and the case was forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
