Madera County Sheriff’s Local Log Through Jan. 14

MADERA COUNTY– Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Jan. 9 to Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018.

Raymond domestic dispute and emergency protective order
On Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 1:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 32000 block of Front Street, regarding a report of a domestic dispute. During the investigation an Emergency Protective Order was granted protecting the victim and served on the arrestee. The deputy also determined the arrestee had an outstanding No Bail Juvenile Warrant for his arrest. Arrestee was taken into custody and tranported to the Madera County Jail. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charge.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 9:09 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 in regards to a vandalism report. Upon arrival, photographs were taken and a report was later completed.

Oakhurst felony warrant arrest and possession of controlled substance
On Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 10:12 a.m. a deputy contacted three subjects at the request of the store clerk. Shortly after this contact, it was discovered that one of the subjects had an active felony warrant for her arrest. Two subjects were ultimately arrested and found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 11:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a subject with a warrant. A report was written, citation issued, and case closed by arrest.

O’Neals assault
On Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 1:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 200 regarding an assault. A report was written, evidence obtained and case closed.

North Fork possession of concealed dagger and methamphetamine
On Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 2:28 p.m. a deputy conducted a subject stop which led to charges being requested for possession of a concealed dagger and possession of methamphetamine.

Coarsegold subject with knife
On Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 4:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Veater Ranch Road regarding a male subject with a knife. A report was written, and case closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 6:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding theft. A report was written and the case was closed.

Coarsegold found property
On Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 9:08  a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Yosemite Springs Court in regards to found property. A report was taken and the found items were booked.

Oakhurst report of child abuse
On Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 3:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Westlake Drive in regards to a report of a child being assaulted. Interviews were conducted, photos were taken and a suspect was arrested and booked into custody at the Madera County Department of Corrections.

Oakhurst business employee with concealed dagger
On Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 4:45 p.m. deputies were dispatched to a business on the 40000 block of Highway 41 in Oakhurst regarding a disturbance between a customer and an employee. The employee was arrested and booked for possession of a concealed dagger.

North Fork recovered stolen vehicle
On Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 6:03 p.m. deputies had been investigating previous theft cases at a residence located within the 32000 block of Road 221. They found a large utility trailer at this location and determined the trailer was an unreported stolen vehicle. A deputy was assigned to meet the victim (owner) of the trailer to report the vehicle as stolen and recover the same vehicle. The vehicle was released to the victim. This case has been closed.

North Fork vandalism, threats, and emergency protective order
On Thursday, Jan. 11 at 5:39 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 225 regarding a vandalism. A deputy responded and took a report and obtained an emergency protective order for the victim of threats. The suspect was arrested and booked into the jail. Forward the case to the Madera County DA’s Office for charges.

Coarsegold financial elder abuse
On Thursday, Jan. 11 at 8:36 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to take a report over the phone regarding a financial elder abuse case that occurred in the 31000 block of Blue Heron Way. Forward case to detectives for follow up.

Oakhurst shoplifting
On Thursday, Jan. 11 at 10:42 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Junction Drive regarding a shoplifting. The subject went outside the store with the merchandise. She was cited and released at the scene. Forward to the DA’s Office for charges filed.

Oakhurst traffic enforcement, vehicle towed
On Thursday, Jan. 11 at 2:01 p.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Civic Circle and CA-41 which resulted in the driver being cited and the vehicle towed for expired vehicle registration. Forward the case to traffic court.

Oakhurst welfare check on elderly woman
On Thursday, Jan. 11 at 3:10 p.m. deputies conducted a welfare check on an elderly female in the 52000 block of RD 426. It was determined the woman was unable to care for herself. She was transported to the hospital by EMS.

North Fork report of robbery
On Friday, Jan. 12 at 12:56 a.m. a deputy responded to the 32000 block of Road 222 for a report of a robbery. An investigation was conducted and a case number was generated and the case was closed.

Oakhurst report of burglary, unsubstantiated
On Friday, Jan. 12 at 9:34 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Hangtree Lane regarding a burglary. It was determined that no burglary, in fact, had occurred. A report was taken for documentation purposes.

Oakhurst suspicious person
On Friday, Jan. 12 at 12:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 38000 block of Pine Crest Court regarding a suspicious person. A statement was taken from the reporting a party and general incident report was completed for information only.

Oakhurst theft
On Friday, Jan. 12 at 12:44 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Road 600 regarding a theft case. An investigation was conducted and scene was processed.

Coarsegold found cell phone
On Friday, Jan. 12 at 1:30 p.m. a deputy was flagged down by citizen at Road 400 and Road 415 regarding a found cell phone. Refer report to detectives for follow up.

Coarsegold theft
On Friday, Jan. 12 at 2:37 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Lilley Mountain Drive regarding theft of a water heater from a residence. The reporting party requested a report for documentation.

Oakhurst burglary
On Friday, Jan. 12 at 3:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Highway 41 regarding a burglary report. An investigation was conducted and scene was processed for evidence. Report to be closed at this time due to lack of leads.

Oakhurst physical altercation between woman and minor daughter, CPS called
On Friday, Jan. 12 at midnight, deputies were dispatched to the Oakhurst Park in regards to two females actively fighting. Deputies contacted both parties involved and an independent witness. The parties involved were a mother and 13 yo daughter. The mother was arrested and booked for child endangerment. Child Protectice Services notified and responded. Forward the case to the Madera County DA for charges.

Oakhurst shoplifting suspect brandishes knife
On Friday, Jan. 12 at 6:54 p.m. deputies responded to the 40000 Blk of CA-41 for a report of a shoplifter that had brandished a knife to an employee. An investigation was conducted. A suspect was identified on a later call for service and was arrested on separate charges.

Coarsegold stolen property, violation of criminal protective order, resisting arrest
On Friday, Jan. 12 at 9:18 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle check in the 46000 block of Lucky Lane. A passenger in the vehicle was arrested for possession of stolen property, violating a criminal protective order, and resisting arrest. The individual was booked at the Madera County Department of Corrections. Case forwarded to the DA’s office for charges.

Coarsegold report of family disturbance
On Friday, Jan. 12 at 9:42 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 34000 blk of Jennifer Lane for a report of a family disturbance. A report was generated and no criminal charges were filed and the case was closed.

Oakhurst welfare check, person in need of medical assistance
On Friday, Jan. 12 at 9:31 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Live Oak Drive for a welfare check on a female subject. The female advised that she did not feel well, due to not taking her medications, and EMS was contacted. EMS determined she needed medical treatment and was transported Saint Agnes Medical Center. A report was written for documentation purposes and case was closed.

Coarsegold vehicle stop, driver bails, vehicle towed
On Friday, Jan. 12 at 10:53 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop on Yosemite Springs Parkway and Spring Valley Ranch Road. The driver of the vehicle leg-bailed from the vehicle and was not apprehended. The vehicle was towed. Further investigation was able to identify the driver of the vehicle. The case forwarded to the DA’s office for charges.

Oakhurst missing person returns home
On Saturday, Jan. 13 at 2:49 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 426 in regards to a missing person. A report was completed. The missing person returned home.

Coarsegold burglary
On Saturday, Jan. 13 at 8:22 p.m. a deputy responded to the 42000 block of Yosemite Springs Drive for a report of a residential burglary. A report was generated and no evidence or suspects were located at this time.

Coarsegold loitering and warrant arrest, vehicle towed
On Sunday, Jan. 14 at 9:49 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to 32000 block of Meadow Ridge Road due to a report of loitering. While performing a subject check a warrant was discovered. The suspect was arrested, his vehicle towed and he was booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections.

Coarsegold trespassing, felony warrant out of Colorado
On Sunday, Jan. 14 at 2:32 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 37000 block of Sundance Drive regarding a report of trespassing. Vehicle and subject checks were performed. A no bail, extraditable, Felony warrant out of Colorado was discovered. The wanted person was arrested and booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections.

Coarsegold assault — fight
On Sunday, Jan. 14 at 3:45 p.m. deputies responded to the area of Yosemite Springs Parkway and Corral Drive for a physical fight. A report was taken and closed until the suspect can be identified and contacted.

Coarsegold found live rifle bullet
On Sunday, Jan. 14 at 6:06 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located within the 46000 block of Lucky Lane, regarding a report of found property. The reporting party reported finding a live rifle bullet at the business. The owner of the property could not be determined. The property was booked as Found Property for destruction. This case has been closed.
