Madera County Sheriff’s Local Log Through Feb. 4

MADERA COUNTY– Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Jan. 29 to Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018.

Oakhurst domestic dispute
On Monday, Jan. 29 at 4:47 a.m. deputies responded in regards to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and a report was written to document the incident. Case can be closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, Jan. 29 at 10:54 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of School Road regarding theft. Report written and case closed.

O’Neals domestic violence
On Monday, Jan. 29 at 7:34 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Road 200 regarding a report of domestic violence. Statements were gathered, an arrest was made, suspect was transported to the Madera County Department of Corrections, an Emergency Protective Order was issued and a report was written.

Coarsegold traffic stop reveals narcotics
On Monday, Jan. 29 at 10:16 p.m. a deputy was patrolling in the area of CA-41 and Road 415 when a traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle code violation. During a consent search of the vehicle narcotics were located. The driver was arrested, cited and released for the possession of the narcotics. Case closed by arrest.

Wishon residential burglary
On Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 12:21 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 38000 block of Road 222 regarding a residential alarm sounding. Upon arrival a window screen was found broken and lying on the ground beneath an open window. Additional deputies were requested and a perimeter was set. A canine was deployed to search the interior of the residence which conclude with no persons found. There was no further evidence located, no further damage done to the residence or property taken. Report was taken of documentation. Case closed.

Friant theft of cement truck battery
On Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 7:27 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 17000 block of Road 206 regarding a theft of a cement truck battery. An investigation was conducted, and the suspect(s) broke through a chain fence. There are no suspect(s) or investigative leads in this case. Case is closed.

O’Neals outdoor marijuana grow
On Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 9 a.m. a deputy received a report of an illegal outdoor marijuana grow that is located in the 27000 block of Oak Creek Road. Investigation on going.

Coarsegold burglary
On Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 11:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Holiday Drive regarding burglary. Report written and case closed.

North Fork trespassing
On Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 12:37 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Mountain Lane in regards to subjects trespassing on a property. Upon arrival, all involved subjects were contacted. A report was taken for documentation only.

North Fork possible theft
On Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 12:56 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 29000 block of Road 222 in regards to a possible theft. The reporting party was contacted and a statement was obtained.

Oakhurst burglary
On Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 4:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Indian Springs Road regarding a report of burglary. A statement was gathered, photos were taken for evidence, stolen items were documented and a report was written.

Coarsegold vehicle impounded after repeated code violations
On Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 9:19 p.m. a deputy was patrolling in the area of CA-41 and Road 200 when a traffic stop was conducted due to a vehicle code violation. The vehicle was found to be over six months expired and the driver had been cited two other times to get it fixed, to no avail. The driver was cited and the vehicle was impounded.

North Fork subject gravely disabled, found in dumpster
On Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 5:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 222 regarding a subject in a dumpster who could get out. The subject was determined unable to take care of himself and went to the hospital under gravely disabled. He was turned over to EMS for a mental health evaluation hold.

Coarsegold driver cited, vehicle towed
On Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 7:30 a.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Road 417 / CA 41 which resulted in the driver being cited and the vehicle towed. Forward the case to the Madera DA for charges.

Coarsegold warrant arrest, citation, release
On Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 9:47 a.m. a deputy conducted a subject check in the area of CA 41 / Rd 417. The subject was a wanted person with outstanding warrants. The subject was cited and released.

Oakhurst family disturbance
On Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 9:37 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a family disturbance. Family members at scene wanted a 5150 placed on their family member, however the criteria was not met. A private persons arrest was offered to both parties which was declined. Report written for documentation, case closed.

North Fork employee stealing from business
On Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 11:14 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 regarding an employee who was reportedly stealing from the business. The employee was contacted and admitted to stealing. He was fired by the owner and no charges were requested as he is going to pay back the owner.

North Fork unlawful entry into residence
On Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 11:20 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Road 222 regarding unlawful entry to a residence. The victim advised nothing was taken from the residence.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 2:19 p.m. a deputy conducted a subject check on a subject in the area of Road 417/ Big Sandy Drive on a subject who had an outstanding arrest warrant. The subject was arrested and booked.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 10:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Meadow Vista Drive in regards to a vandalism. An investigation was conducted and report written. Case closed due to lack of evidence.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Thursday, Feb. 1 at 9:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of 39000 block of Washburn Lane in regards to a vandalism. A report was taken.

O’Neals assault at school
On Thursday, Feb. 1 at 10:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Road 200 regarding an assault at school. The victim, 18, requested no criminal charges.
Refer report closed.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Thursday, Feb. 1 at 11:32 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a phone report of vandalism. A report was taken.

Coarsegold Coroner’s case
On Thursday, Feb. 1 at 12:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Yosemite Springs Drive regarding a Coroner’s case. Report taken for documentation. Refer to Chief Coroner for review.

Oakhurst domestic issue
On Thursday, Feb. 1 at 1:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding domestic issues. A report was taken for documentation purposes.

Oakhurst warrant arrest and citation
On Thursday, Feb. 1 at 4:03 p.m. a deputy contacted a subject in the area of CA 41 / Hwy 49. The subject had an outstanding arrest warrant, was arrested and cited into court.

Oakhurst commercial burglary
On Thursday, Feb. 1 at 4:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a commercial burglary. The witness was interviewed and a report was completed.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Thursday, Feb. 1 at 8:05 p.m. deputies were dispatched regarding a domestic incident. The male half was arrested for criminal threats and booked at Madera DOC. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s office for charges.

Oakhurst child protective services referral
On Thursday, Feb. 1 at 7:55 p.m. a deputy was dispatched by phone regarding a father reporting that his juvenile son was possibly being provided drugs by the mother. The father of the juvenile only provided the mother’s telephone number and did have a current address for the mother and child. A report was written and the case was forwarded to Child Protective Services and closed until both mother and child can be contacted and a statement obtained.

Raymond verbal disturbance
On Friday, Feb. 2 at 12:25 a.m. a deputy was dispatched for a report of a verbal disturbance. A report was generated and the case was closed.

Coarsegold warrant arrest and release
On Friday, Feb. 2 at 5:38 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Road 400 in regards to an assault. The offender was cited and released on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Friday, Feb. 2 at 8:27 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding vandalism to an electrical outlet at the business. The reporting party requested documentation.

Oakhurst subject reportedly brandishing firearm
On Friday, Feb. 2 at 10:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 51000 block of Road 426 regarding a subject possibly brandishing of a firearm. After investigating this case it appeared that this did not happen.

Coarsegold theft
On Friday, Feb. 2 at 1:49 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Willow Pond Lane in regards to fraudulent use of access card. A report was taken.

Coarsegold vehicle stored for expired vehicle
On Friday, Feb. 2 at 2:12 p.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Forrest Glenn / Pony Express which resulted in the vehicle being stored for expired vehicle registration.

North Fork theft of woodsplitter
On Friday, Feb. 2 at 3:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Peckinpah Acres Road regarding a theft a woodsplitter. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst criminal threats
On Friday, Feb. 2 at 4:40 p.m. deputies were dispatched regarding criminal threats. Deputies interviewed the suspect and the reporting party. A report was completed and forwarded to DA’s office for further review of charges.

Madera County shots fired at vehicle
On Friday, Feb. 2 at 7:02 p.m. deputies responded to 13377 Rd 18 1/2 in regards to a report of a vehicle being shot at in the area of Ave. 14 and Rd 21 1/2.

Oakhurst report of threats
On Friday, Feb. 2 at 7:36 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Lauri Lane in regards to threats. An investigation was conducted and it was determined no crime had been committed. A report was written for information only, case closed.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Saturday, Feb. 3 at 4:38 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a report of a male subject making suicidal statements. The subject was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to the Madera Community Hospital. A report was written for documentation purposes and case was closed.

Oakhurst found property 
On Saturday, Feb. 3 at midnight, a deputy provided found property which was turned into the Oakhurst substation. A report was taken and the item booked into safekeeping.

Bass Lake suspicious person reported
On Saturday, Feb. 3 at 9:54 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Road 432 regarding a suspicious person. The subject lives at the address and had a traffic warrant. He was cited and released. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold possible found narcotics
On Saturday, Feb. 3 at 2:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a report of possible found narcotics. There were no leads or suspects identified with the substance. The substance was booked into evidence for destruction. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Sunday, Feb. 4 at 8:17 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 for a disorderly subject refusing to leave the property. Subject was contacted and subsequently arrested for public intoxication. The subject was booked at the Madera County Department of Corrections.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Sunday, Feb. 4 at 9:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a possible domestic disturbance. Upon arrival an investigation ensued and a female subject was arrested for felony domestic violence charges. She was transported and booked into Madera DOC. Case closed.
