Madera County Sheriff’s Local Log Through Apr. 22

MADERA COUNTY– Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Apr. 16 to Sunday, Apr. 22, 2018.

Oakhurst Search and Rescue deployed
On Monday, Apr. 16 at 8:26 a.m. a deputy received a call regarding two people possibly stranded or stuck in the snow up by Fresno Dome Camp Ground. Multiple attempts to contact the party by phone were unsuccessful. Search and Rescue teams were deployed to the last known whereabouts.

Coarsegold theft
On Monday, Apr. 16 at 12:11 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Road 415 regarding theft of gasoline from a work vehicle. A report was taken for documentation.

North Fork vehicle towed for expired registration
On Monday, Apr. 16 at 2:23 p.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Road 274 and Road 225 which resulted in the vehicle being towed for expired vehicle registration.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Monday, Apr. 16 at 3:45 p.m. a deputy conducted a warrant at the 37000 block of CA-41. The suspect had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest. He was transported to Madera Department of Corrections without incident. A report was written for documentation purposes.

North Fork assault involving tenant and landlord
On Tuesday, Apr. 17 at 9:17 a.m. deputies were dispatched for a 911 call with an open line. Deputies arrived on scene and learned a disturbance between landlord and tenant had occurred. An investigation was completed and a report was written.

Coarsegold juvenile overdose on edible marijuana
On Tuesday, Apr. 17 at 1:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a juvenile that overdosed on edible marijuana. The juvenile was transferred by EMS prior to the deputy arrival. During the investigation, another juvenile had admitted to eating edible marijuana. The juvenile was triaged on scene by EMS. The juvenile checked okay, and was turned over to family. A report was written for documentation purposes.

Oakhurst child protective services call
On Tuesday, Apr. 17 at 4:09 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a CPS referral from Kern County.

Oakhurst warrant arrest after subject turns self in
On Tuesday, Apr. 17 at 6:05 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding a report of a male turning himself into custody for an outstanding warrant. The male was taken into custody, issued a citation and released from custody. This case has been closed.

North Fork public intoxication
On Tuesday, Apr. 17 at 6:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 regarding a report of an intoxicated female yelling at customers outside the business. The female was arrested and booked at the Madera County Department of Corrections.

North Fork Coroner’s case
On Wednesday, Apr. 18 at 8:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Hartley Road regarding a Coroner’s case. Refer to the Chief Coroner for follow up.

North Fork missing person/danger to self
On Wednesday, Apr. 18 at 12:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a missing person. The deputy was later dispatched back to the same location because the missing person had returned home. An investigation was conducted and the missing person was determined to be a danger to himself, and a protective hold was placed.

Coarsegold found property
On Wednesday, Apr. 18 at 8:05 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding found property. The property was booked at the Oakhurst substation and report was written for documentation purposes.

Wishon assault
On Wednesday, Apr. 18 at 8:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding an incident that occurred at a residence, regarding allegations of an assault between roommates with minor injuries sustained. None of the
parties involved wished to seek prosecution against the other at the time of this investigation. This case has been closed.

Coarsegold theft
On Wednesday, Apr. 18 at 9:31 p.m. a deputy was dispatched by phone regarding a report of theft that occurred on the 31000 bock of Sioux Road. A report of incident was taken and forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Apr. 19 at 11:21 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Hwy 49 regarding theft. A report was written and case closed.

Oakhurst fraud
On Thursday, Apr. 19 at 7:44 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Royal Oaks Drive regarding report of fraud. A report was written for documentation.

Coarsegold drug paraphernalia found
On Thursday, Apr. 19 at 10:43 p.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a found property report. Drug paraphernalia was collected and booked into property for destruction. A report was written to document the incident.

Coarsegold possible domestic violence
On Friday, Apr. 20 at 8:40 a.m. a deputy responded for a welfare check of a possible domestic violence situation. A deputy contacted the female half and her statement was obtained and it was determined was no domestic violence. Report taken for information.

Oakhurst burglary
On Friday, Apr. 20 at 11:09 a.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a burglary investigation. Upon arrival, the victim was contacted and a report was taken. There were no suspect(s), witnesses or investigative leads.

Coarsegold burglary, suspect in possession of loaded firearm, ammunition, meth
On Friday, Apr. 20 at 8:36 a.m. a deputy responded to the 44000 block of Cool Springs Road in regards to a residential burglary alarm. When the deputy arrived on scene he located three male subjects burglarizing the residence. All three subjects were apprehended and one of the males was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm, ammunition, and methamphetamine. The subject was also a convicted felon. The
subject was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail. A report was written and sent to the DA’s Office for prosecution.

Oakhurst Search and Rescue deployed
On Sunday, Apr. 22 at 12:23 p.m. deputies and Search and Rescue were dispatched to Lewis Creek for a medical aid. Sierra Ambulance and Cal-Fire also responded. The subject was located at the lower falls area suffering a possible broken ankle. The subject was carried out to a waiting ambulance and transported to the hospital.
