Madera County Sheriff’s Local Log Through Apr. 1

MADERA COUNTY– Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Mar. 26 to Sunday, Apr. 1, 2018.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Monday, Mar. 26 at 5:35 a.m. a deputy checked on a broken down vehicle in the area of CA 41 and Road 416. The registered owner had a warrant for his arrest. The vehicle was towed by CHP due to the vehicle blocking the roadway and expired vehicle registration.

Oakhurst violation of domestic violence restraining order
On Monday, Mar. 26 at 8:36 a.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a violation of a domestic violence restraining order. A report was generated. Case forward to Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review of charges.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Monday, Mar. 26 at 1:03 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a welfare check on a subject acting strangely inside the casino. Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and the subject was found to have three outstanding warrants for his arrest. The subject was placed into custody and later cited out on his warrants

Oakhurst altercation
On Monday, Mar. 26 at 3:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding two elderly subjects with dementia who were in a physical altercation. A report was taken for documentation purposes only.

Oakhurst threats and violation of a restraining order
On Monday, Mar. 26 at 4:37 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding threats and violation of a restraining order. A report was taken. Case forward to Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review of charges.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Monday, Mar. 26 at 5:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40100 block of CA-41 regarding a subject who was
observed to be intoxicated. The subject was contacted in public and found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor. He was arrested and transported to the Madera County Department of Corrections and booked into that facility.

Oakhurst assault during altercation
On Monday, Mar. 26 at 7 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located within the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a report of a disturbance. During the investigation it was determined an assault occurred between the owners of two adjacent businesses. One of the parties involved complained of pain as a result of the altercation but declined any medical attention. All parties declined to seek prosecution against the other. This case has been closed.

Oakhurst runaway
On Tuesday, Mar. 27 at 7:51 a.m. a deputy was contacted regarding a habitual runaway juvenile. A report was taken and the runaways info was entered into the missing and unidentified persons system. Forward to detectives.

Coarsegold subject committing lewd act in front of child
On Tuesday, Mar. 27 at 8:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 28000 block of Gray Squirrel Ct. regarding a subject committing a lewd conduct in a public place in front of a child. An investigation was conducted and a suspect was identified by the victim. Case forward to Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review of charges.

Raymond warrant arrest
On Wednesday, Mar. 28 at 12:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 25000 block of Road 407 to assist the park rangers with a uncooperative subject. The adult male subject was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Sonoma County. The male subject was arrested and transported to the
MDOC and a case report was written.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Wednesday, Mar. 28 at 12:35 p.m. a deputy contacted a female subject with five warrants, including one felony warrant out of Madera County. The subject was booked into Madera Department of Corrections.

North Fork altercation
On Wednesday, Mar. 28 at 4:27 p.m. a deputy responded to the 33000 block of Willow Creek Drive regarding a fight between two subjects. A report was taken.

North Fork stolen vehicle recovered, subjects arrested
On Wednesday, Mar. 28 at 7:35 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 57000 blk of Road 225 in regards to a stolen vehicle report. Two male subjects were located on the property. Through the deputies’ investigation it was discovered the male subjects stole the vehicle and then returned it a few days later. The suspects were positively identified by a witness. Both males were arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s Office for prosecution.

Oakhurst threats
On Wednesday, Mar. 28 at 7:57 p.m. a deputy took a phone report of threats that occurred in the 51000 block of Ponderosa Way. A report was written for documentation.

Coarsegold theft
On Thursday, Mar. 29 at 5:47 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a theft report. Upon arrival, the victim was contacted and her statement obtained.

North Fork threats
On Thursday, Mar. 29 at 8:24 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding threats. Report taken, evidence obtained, suspect
arrested, and charges filed.

Coarsegold found wallet
On Thursday, Mar. 29 at 5:28 p.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a found wallet. A report was written for documentation and the wallet was booked for safekeeping.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Thursday, Mar. 29 at 2:07 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 426 in regards to a female who was causing a verbal disturbance. Upon arrival, it was determined that the female was intoxicated on her own property and had vandalized a vehicle that belongs to her landlord.

Oakhurst threats
On Thursday, Mar. 29 at 6:07 p.m. a deputy received a report of criminal threats being made in the 50000 block of Road 427. An investigation was conducted and a suspect was identified. This case is being forwarded to the investigative division for follow up.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Mar. 29 at 7:25 p.m. a deputy took a report of a theft that occurred in the 40000 block of Hwy 49. The victim reported an envelope with money and bank account information was stolen from her purse. A report was taken for documentation.

Coarsegold report of violation
On Thursday, Mar. 29 at 9:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding an alleged violation of a protective order. Through an investigation it was determined that no crime had occurred. A report was written for documentation purposes only.

Coarsegold family disturbance, public intoxication
On Thursday, Mar. 29 at 10:40 p.m. deputies responded to 30000 block of CA-41 in regards to a family disturbance. A male subject who was involved in the altercation was located in the area walking. The male subject was arrested for public intoxication and booked into the Madera County Jail. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s Office for prosecution.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Friday, Mar. 30 at 12:38 a.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a subject causing a disturbance. The subject was contacted and determined to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance. He was arrested and booked at Madera DOC without incident. Case forwarded to the DA’s office to file charges.

Raymond Coroner’s report
On Friday, Mar. 30 at 6:39 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a Coroner’s case. A report was written and case
forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Chief Coroners.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Friday, Mar. 30 at 2:21 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Pierce Drive in regards to a trespasser. Upon arrival, a female was contacted and found to have an active warrant for her arrest. The female was placed under arrest and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections.

Coarsegold homicide
On Friday, Mar. 30 at 7:23 p.m. deputies responded to the 33000 block of Little John Drive regarding a family disturbance. While en-route deputies received more information that the disturbance had turned into a shooting. Deputies arrived and found two victims of gunshot wounds, one of which was deceased. The suspect was on scene and taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.

Victim Of Coarsegold Homicide Identified

Coarsegold juvenile danger to self
On Saturday, Mar. 31 at 5:49 p.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a juvenile threatening to kill herself. A juvenile was contacted and determined to be a danger to herself. A 72 hour hold was placed on the juvenile and she was transported to an area hospital for an evaluation. A report was written for documentation.

Oakhurst vehicle burglary near Lewis Creek Trail
On Saturday, Mar. 31 at 5:44 p.m. a deputy took a phone report of a vehicle burglary that occurred in the area of Lewis Creek Trail. A report was taken and follow-up conducted, attempting to identify a suspect. Case forwarded to detectives for follow up.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Saturday, Mar. 31 at 7:49 p.m. deputies were dispatched regarding a subject who attempted to hang himself. The subject was determined to be a danger to himself and placed on a mental health hold. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Oakhurst warrant arrests
On Saturday, Mar. 31 at 10:22 p.m., while on self-initiated patrol, a deputy contacted two subjects for loitering in the 49000 block of Civic Circle. The subjects had multiple outstanding warrants from Mariposa County. They were arrested and turned over to Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office.

Coarsegold warrant arrest after neighbor dispute
On Saturday, Mar. 31 at 11:24 p.m. deputies responded to the 31000 block of Road 400 in regards to a neighbor dispute. A male subject was contacted and found to have a felony warrant out of Madera County. The male subject was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail. A report was written for documentation.

Coarsegold found meth pipe
On Sunday, Apr. 1 at 1:49 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 blk of Lucky Lane in regards to found property. A glass pipe used to ingest methamphetamine was collected and later booked into property for destruction.

North Fork danger to self
On Sunday, Apr. 1 at 11:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a subject possibly a danger to herself. The subject was determined to be a danger to herself, and a protective hold was placed.
