Madera County Sheriff’s Local Crime Log Through Oct. 30

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Oct. 24 to Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016:

North Fork disturbance
On Monday, Oct. 24 at 6:55 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 56000 block of Road 226 in regards to a call of a verbal argument between a male and a female, and the male was outside of the house. He was taken to hospital for mental health evaluation. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold fraud
On Monday, Oct. 24 at 8:22 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 32000 block of Vetoll Road in regards to a fraud report. The victim reported that an unknown person passed a fictitious check at the bank. It was unknown where the bank is located. A possible suspect was named, however, the victim does not know the suspect and has never met her. This report will be forwarded to the detective unit for possible follow up.

Bass Lake fraud
On Monday, Oct. 24 at 12:36 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Road 222 regarding attempted credit card fraud. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold domestic dispute
On Monday, Oct. 24 at 7:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Lilley Mountain regarding a possible domestic dispute. After the deputy concludes the investigation the case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for review.

Coarsegold warrant citation
On Monday, Oct. 24 at 11:44 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of CA-49 and Stone Creek Drive. During the traffic stop it was determined that the driver had an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant. The driver was cited and released on the warrant.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 7:47 a.m. deputies served a search warrant in regards to an outdoor marijuana cultivation operation.

Oakhurst threats
On Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 928 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 38000 block of Terri Lane regarding threats. A report was taken and the case will go to the District Attorney’s office for charges.

Oakhurst found property
On Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 10:31 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 41 regarding a found backpack. The item was booked into property. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 1:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to call the reporting party regarding a theft that occurred at Road 426 and Highview Drive. A report taken. Case to be closed.

North Fork family disturbance
On Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 7:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 45000 block of Sequoia Circle regarding a report of a family disturbance. During the investigation allegations were made against the suspect of brandishing a firearm in a threatening manner. This case has been forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for the filing of a related charge.

North Fork Narcotics
On Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 7:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to assist another deputy on a call involving a firearm. A deputy later searched a related vehicle and located drugs inside the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and given a citation with a court date with the promise to appear.

North Fork firearm lacks serial number
On Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 10:27 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle check at the end of Muir Drive. After contacting four subjects near the vehicle, a shotgun was located in plain view inside the vehicle. The firearm was found to lack a serial number and was booked into the Madera County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation.

Coarsegold disturbance
On Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 11:42 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 29000 block of Long Hollow Court North for a report of a possible domestic violence incident. The male involved was later cited for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and given a new court date.

Raymond coroner’s report
On Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 7:21 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 43000 block of Road 812 regarding a coroner’s report. A report was taken for documentation and the case was referred to the Chief Coroner for review.

Oakhurst abandoned bike
On Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. deputies received a report of an abandoned bicycle at a business.

Oakhurst suspicious package
On Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 8:43 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 51000 block of Dorstan Drive in regards to a suspicious package. The package was opened and it was a water bottle. The reporting party wanted the deputy to take it. The deputy seized the item for destruction. Close the case.

Coarsegold theft
On Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 10:23 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 34000 block of CA-41 in regards to a theft. A report was taken and evidence collected. Recommended to close the case due to lack of investigative leads.

Coarsegold theft
On Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 11:26 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 42000 Long Hollow Drive regarding a stolen handgun. The victim requested a report for documentation. It was recommended to refer the report to detectives for follow up.

Oakhurt vandalism
On Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 12:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 427 regarding vandalism to a vehicle. The victim advised that someone sprayed a fire extinguisher at her vehicle and damaged the front window/drivers side window. She requested a report for documentation. It was recommended to refer the report as suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst firearm
On Thursday, Oct. 27 at 8:54 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Allen Road regarding a subject contact, who was on active probation. A firearm was located at the residence. The deputy requested that this report be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for charges filed.

Ahwahnee vandalism
On Thursday, Oct. 27 at 9:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact a reporting party by phone regarding vandalism that occurred in the 43000 block of CA-49. There were no leads and the case was closed.

Oakhurst coroner’s report
On Thursday, Oct. 27 at 1:33 p.m. a deputy responded to a delayed coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This was a natural death case involving only a coroner’s referral number.

Coarsegold fraud
On Thursday, Oct. 27 at 2:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact a female victim by phone regarding a report of identity theft. There were no leads. Case is to be closed.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Thursday, Oct. 27 at 2:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 in regards to a male subject who was screaming. The subject was contacted and arrested for public intoxication. Recommended to forward the case to the District Attorney’s office for charges.

North Fork Child Protective Services
On Thursday, Oct. 27 at 3:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 regarding a referral from Child Protective Services. A report was taken for documentation, and the deputy requested that this report be forwarded to detectives for follow up.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Thursday, Oct. 27 at 5:42 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 36000 block of Wells Road for a public health call. A case was generated and the case was closed.

North Fork pubic intoxication
On Friday, Oct. 28 at 1:41 p.m. deputies took an assault report that occurred in the vicinity of the 33000 block of Road 228. The suspect was contacted and she was placed under arrest for public intoxication. The report is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Friday, Oct. 28 at 3:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to an address in the 46000 block of Beechwood Drive in regards to a public health call. A report was taken and a mental health evaluation hold was placed. The patient was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Recommended to close the case.

Oakhurst domestic violence restraining order violation
On Friday, Oct. 28 at 3:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched for a telephone report from a resident in the 40000 block of Winding Way in regards to a violation of a domestic violence restraining order. A report was taken. A warrantless arrest declaration was completed. It was recommended to forward the case to the District Attorney’s office for charges.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Friday, Oct. 28 at 8:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a man with a gun. During the investigation it was determined the subject was a danger to himself and others. He was transported to a hospital for a mental health evaluation. This case is to be closed.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Friday, Oct. 28 at 8:48 p.m. deputies responded to the 40000 block of CA-41 for a report of an armed subject. After contacting two subjects, it was determined that they both met the criteria for a mental health evaluation hold and were sent for evaluation.

Coarsegold probation violation
On Saturday, Oct. 29 at 3:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a verbal disturbance that occurred in Yosemite Lakes Park. Both subjects were contacted and an emergency protective order was requested and later granted. The male subject was arrested for a violation of probation and booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections. This report is to be forwarded to the Madera County Adult Probation Office for review.

Coarsegold restraining order violation
On Saturday, Oct. 29 at 5:57 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to telephone a female who lived within the 49000 block of Cavin Lane, regarding a report of a violation of a restraining order. During the investigation it was determined the restrained person sent the protected person (victim) two letters in violation of the order. The order issued from Fresno County Superior Court is valid until October 20, 2019. The restrained person had been served with the order on October 25, 2016. This case has been forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for the filing of related charge.

Coarsegold theft
On Sunday, Oct. 30 a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a theft report. Upon arrival, the victim had left the area prior to the deputy’s arrival. No contact was made with the victim. The case number was requested prior to knowing the victim had left the area. The case was closed.

Coarsegold missing person
On Sunday, Oct. 30 at 6:53 a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Person Court regarding a possible missing person report. After completing the investigation and per family request a missing person report was taken. The female was later entered into the missing person’s system.

Oakhurst narcotics and child protective services
On Sunday, Oct. 30 at 9:11 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 41 and Road 222. When making contact with the driver the deputy observed the male passenger smoking marijuana in the passenger seat of the vehicle. The deputy saw that there was a child under a year old in the rear passenger seat. The male passenger was cited for possession of marijuana and a report was written and forwarded to child protective services for review.

Ahwahnee vandalism
On Sunday, Oct. 30 at 10:12 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 44000 block of Road 619 regarding a report of a vandalism. This case has been forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for review and the possible filing of related charge.
