Madera County Sheriff’s Local Crime Log Through Oct. 23

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Oct. 17 to Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016:

Oakhurst DUI arrest
On Monday, Oct. 17 at 1:11 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 41 and Road 426 for equipment violation. The driver was later found to be under the influence of alcohol and drugs and was booked by California Highway Patrol into the Madera County DOC. The passengers in the car were also found to be in possession of drugs and released with citations.

Coarsegold burglary
On Monday, Oct. 17 at 11:08 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located in the 35000 block of CA-41 in regards to a burglary report. Upon arrival, the victim was contacted. The scene was searched for physical evidence, however, none was located. One person of interest was named in this report. Report to be closed, due to a lack of investigative leads/evidence.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Monday, Oct. 17 at 1:24 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence that located in the 32000 block of CA-41 in regards to a vandalism report. The victim was contacted and a statement obtained. There are currently no suspect(s), witnesses or physical evidence. Report to be closed due to a lack of investigative leads/evidence.

Oakhurst disturbance and DUI arrest
On Monday, Oct. 17 at 3:24 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding a possible domestic disturbance. Upon arrival deputies located the male walking to his vehicle. Upon contacting the subject it was determined he was under the influence of alcohol and had been driving his vehicle. The female was contacted it was determined there had been a verbal argument between the male and female. CHP was requested and took custody of the male for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Coarsegold fraud
On Monday, Oct. 17 at 4:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a fraud report. The victim reportsed unauthorized out of state charges on her debit card. Her bank was in the process of reimbursing her account. There are currently no suspect(s). Report to be closed.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Monday, Oct. 17 at 5:33 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a male subject that failed to stop at the stop sign at Civic Circle Drive and Road 426. The male subject was later found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The subject was issued a citation with a court date.

Oakhurst arrest
On Monday, Oct. 17 at 6:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a male individual who was very confrontational with the reporting party. The deputy arrived on scene and made contact with the subject, who was very uncooperative. The subject was arrested and transported to DOC. Case will be forwarded to Madera County District Attorney’s office.

Oakhurst traffic and drug sales arrest
On Monday, Oct. 17 at 9:12 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic a traffic stop in the area of Highway 41 and Highway 49. The male diver was found to be driving on a suspended license. The driver was later arrested for drug sales and booked into the Madera County DOC.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 12:37 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 29000 block of Horseshoe Court, regarding a report of a domestic dispute. During the investigation it was determined that the disturbance involved an unwanted guest inside a residence. No physical violence occurred and no complaint was desired. The male was found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. The male was placed into custody and transported to the Madera County Jail. This case has been closed.

Oakhurst theft from business
On Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 9:22 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 in Oakhurst regarding a report of theft from a business. Report taken and case closed due to a lack of evidence leads.

Ahwahnee theft
On Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 11:30 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Road 600 regarding a theft of property and violation of a restraining order. A report was taken, evidence obtained, suspect taken into custody, and case closed by arrest.

North Fork burglary
On Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 2:15 a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 57000 block of Road 225 in regards to a report of a residential burglary. A statement was obtained from the victim. There were no suspect(s) or witnesses to this crime and there are currently no investigative leads. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold coroner’s report
On Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 3:20 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 42000 block of Deep Forest Drive regarding a coroner’s report. Report taken. Photos obtained and report was forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff Chief Coroner.

Coarsegold arrest warrant
On Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 5:55 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 29000 block of Kit Carson Court regarding a request from EMS to assist with a possibly combative subject. Upon arrival the deputy was flagged down by two Cal Fire personnel who advised that the female involved had walked away and was headed through the field in a westerly direction. The responding deputy located the female arrestee in a field behind a nearby residence. A record check revealed the arrestee had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants for her arrest, and she was placed into custody and later issued a citation, releasing her from custody. This case has been closed.

Oakhurst traffic stop and narcotics 
On Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 10:27 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Pine Ridge Way and Pine Ridge Road. The male driver was found to be driving on an expired driver license and in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. The male driver was arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC.

Coarsegold warrant transport
On Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 3:38 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the Chukchansi Casino located at 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a male and female reportedly involved in suspicious activity. The female had been contacted and detained by casino security. The male had not yet been located, but was said to be likely somewhere at the casino property. The responding deputy contacted a male walking down Lucky Lane near the heliport pad. Although it was determined the male was not involved in the suspicious activity at the casino, a record check determined he had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. The warrant was issued from Mariposa County Superior Court. The male was placed into custody and transported to the Madera/Mariposa County Line where he was picked up by a Mariposa County Deputy Sheriff. This case was written for documentation only and has been closed.

Oakhurst coroner’s report
On Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 3:11 a.m. deputies took a natural coroners report that occurred in the area of the 40000 block of Alerna Way. This report was forwarded to the Chief Coroner.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7:53 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30200 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway in regards to a domestic violence incident. A report was taken. An Emergency Protection Order (EPO) was granted. A warrantless arrest declaration was completed and the case was forwarded to the Madera DA for charges. Forward to Madera County Adult Probation for review.

Oakhurst report of lost document
On Thursday, Oct. 20 at 9:04 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 48000 Liberty Drive regarding a lost passport in San Diego. The reporting party requested a report for documentation and it was recommended the report be closed.

Oakhurst forgery
On Thursday, Oct. 20 at 1:06 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Junction Drive regarding several forged checks which were sent to several subjects out of state. None of the forged checkes were cashed. The reporting party requested a report for documentation; recommended that the report be closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Oct. 20 at 1:59 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Road 222 regarding the theft of a trail camera from the property. The victim requested a report for documentation. The responding deputy requested that this report be suspended until further leads develop.

Bass Lake property found
On Thursday, Oct. 20 at 2:24 p.m. deputies responded to the Oakhurst substation for a found property report. A report was generated and closed.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Thursday, Oct. 20 at 4:51 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 49000 block of Road 426 for a domestic violence incident. Upon completion of the investigation the male subject was placed under arrest for domestic violence and he was transported to Madera County Jail. An Emergency Protective Order (EPO) was issued for this incident.

Ahwahnee suspicious death
On Friday, Oct. 21 at 12:00 a.m. deputies responded to an unresponsive subject in the 41000 block of Road 600. The subject was determined to be deceased and his death was determined to be suspicious in nature. Detectives were called out to investigate the incident.

Ahwahnee assault
On Friday, Oct. 21 at 1:07 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 41000 block of Road 600 for a report of an assault. A case was generated and turned over to the detectives unit.

Oakhurst alleged sexual assault of minor
On Friday, Oct. 21 at 10:36 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding an alleged sexual assault of a female child. Two female children were placed into protective custody with CPS. This report is to be forwarded to detectives for investigation.

North Fork traffic warrant arrest
On Friday, Oct. 21 at 1:44 p.m. a deputy stopped a vehicle in the area of Road 200 / Road 222 which resulted in the driver being arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant. The subject was cited and released on the warrant, and the case was closed.

Bass Lake burglary
On Friday, Oct. 21 at 5:50 a deputy responded to the 54000 block of Willow Cove regarding a burglary. During the investigation several items were determined to have been stolen but no suspect was able to be identified. This case is to be closed due to a lack of leads.

Bass Lake theft
On Friday, Oct. 21 at 10:07 p.m. a ddeputy responded to the Pines Market in the 54000 block of Road 432 regarding a report of shoplifting. During the investigation a surveillance video of the incident was collected as evidence. A report was written and this case will be closed due a lack of leads.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Saturday, Oct. 22 at 1:54 a.m. a deputy conducted a check on the 40000 blk of Highway-41. A male subject was eventually placed into custody for narcotics violations and transported to Madera County Department of Corrections. The case was forwarded to the District Attorneys office for prosecution.

Oakhurst auto parts theft
On Saturday, Oct. 22 at 10:22 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of CA 41 in regards to a theft of wheels and tires. A report was taken and the case was closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Saturday, Oct. 22 at 3:26 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 49000 block of Pierce Drive in regards to an in progress domestic violence incident. One subject was arrested for felony domestic violence and booked into jail. An Emergency Protection Order (EPO) was granted and served. The case is forwarded to the Madera County District Attorneys Office for charges. Forward to Madera County Adult Probation.

North Fork danger to self
On Saturday, Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. a deputy responded to the 31000 block of Arrowhead Trail regarding a report of battery. During the investigation it was determined the juvenile suspect was gravely disabled and a danger to others. The juvenile was sent to Valley Children’s Hospital under a mental health evaluation hold. This case is to be closed.

Coarsegold burglary
On Saturday, Oct. 22 at 11:14 p.m. a deputy responded to the 31000 block of Road 400 regarding a burglary. The homeowner advised he had confronted and detained the suspect. During the investigation a female was taken into custody and booked at MCDOC. A report was filed and forwarded to the district attorney for filing charges.

Coarsegold coroner’s report
On Sunday, Oct. 23 at 6:17 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 30000 block of North Dome Drive regarding a report of an unattended death. This case has been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Detective Deputy Coroner Division for review and possible follow up investigation.

North Fork public intoxication
On Sunday, Oct. 23 at 6:55 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 222/ Road 225 regarding a female who was passed out on the side of the road. The deputy arrived on scene and the female was arrested for being intoxicated in public.

Coarsegold death threats
On Sunday, Oct. 23 at 10:05 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 29000 block of Acorn Court regarding a report of a death threat and harassing phone calls. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charges.
