Madera County Sheriff’s Crime Log Through May 28

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, May 22 to Sunday, May 28, 2017:

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, May 22 at 12:32 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Chevron Gas Station located within the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a report of a theft. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold warrant citation
On Monday, May 22 at 2:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Modoc Road and Road 417, regarding a report of suspicious subjects walking near the cluster mailboxes late at night. During the investigation two subjects were contacted in the area. One of the subjects had outstanding misdemeanor warrants for his arrest. This subject was placed into custody and issued a citation. This case has been
closed.

Coarsegold found property
On Monday, May 22 at 9:18 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a call for service at the Oakhurst sub-station regarding found property. Report written and property held for the owner.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Monday, May 22 at 10:56 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a vandalism that occurred in the 40000 block of Enterprise Drive. Statements were obtained from the involved parties and video surveillance of the incident was also obtained. Case to be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review of charges.

Oakhurst missing juvenile located at school
On Monday, May 22 at 11:35 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive in regards to a missing juvenile. The juvenile was located at Awhahnee High School and agreed to return home.

Oakhurst domestic dispute
On Monday, May 22 at 1:21 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a verbal domestic altercation. Upon arrival, all involved parties were contacted. It was determined that no crime had been committed, however, both subjects were intoxicated and having marital issues. Report was taken for documentation only.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, May 22 at 1:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 in regards to a theft report. The victim was contacted by telephone and a report was taken for documentation. Currently, there are no suspect(s) or investigative leads. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst assault on elder
On Monday, May 22 at 9:58 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding a report of an assault against an elderly female. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for the filing of related charges.

Oakhurst person in distress
On Tuesday, May 23 at 7:08 p.m. an elderly male was placed on a mental health evaluation hold. The patient was transported by EMS to a hospital for a mental health evaluation. Case to be closed.

Bass Lake arrest and citation
On Wednesday, May 24 at 7:15 a.m. a follow-up investigation lead a deputy to a residence at the block of 54000 Crane Valley where the homeowner had a misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. She was arrested/cited and released due to health reasons. Refer report closed due to arrest.

Coarsegold fraud report
On Wednesday, May 24 at approximately 10:24 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of OCB Mine Road regarding a fraud call. A report was written and forwarded to detectives for follow-up.

Oakhurst citizens arrest of suspicious person with a warrant
On Wednesday, May 24 at 12:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Civic Circle regarding a suspicious male. The male subject was later identified and placed under citizens arrest. The male subject was found to have a warrant and was booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections.

Raymond missing juvenile
On Wednesday, May 24 at 3:42 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to 48000 Liberty Drive regarding a runaway juvenile. A report was taken and the juvenile was entered into the missing person system.

Coarsegold domestic disturbance
On Wednesday, May 24 at approximately 4:15 a deputy  was dispatched in regards to a domestic disturbance. A report was written and forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.

Bass Lake assault
On Wednesday, May 24 at 9:20 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of Road 222 regarding a neighbor who had come to the door bleeding and stating he needed help. Upon arrival it was determined the male subject had been beat up over some family issues. The incident is currently under investigation.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Thursday, May 25 at 10:38 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a confidential location regarding a domestic incident. The victim reported that she is seven weeks pregnant by her boyfriend and they were in an argument. She said that he pushed her head up against the wall, thereby causing physical injuries. She requested charges and was given an emergency order of protection. Forward to DA’s office for charges filed.

Oakhurst person in distress requiring mental health evaluation
On Thursday, May 25 at 11:53 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 40000 Red Bud Drive regarding a subject at the CHP office who was distraught. Units responded in the area after the subject fled on foot. The male subject was identified and requested that the deputy shoot him. He was turned over to EMS for mental health evaluation.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Thursday, May 25 at 4:14 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 42000 block of High Point Court for an intoxicated subject. Upon arrival the subject was contacted and placed under arrest for public intoxication. The subject was transported and booked into Madera County Jail. This report is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.

North Fork mail theft
On Thursday, May 25 at 7:35 p.m. a deputy responded to the 30000 Block of Wyle Ranch Road for a report of a possible theft of a parcel out of a mail box cluster. An investigation was conducted and a report written and forwarded to the postal inspector and the detective unit for review,

Coarsegold suspended license and false registration tab
On Thursday, May 25 at 9:14 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop on Lucky Lane and CA-41. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for driving on a suspended license and a false registration tab. The driver was released with a citation. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s office.

Coarsegold simple assault by banned guest
On Friday, May 26 at 2:55 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a possible physical disturbance. Upon arrival it was determined a banned guest had made an aggressive movement towards a security officer, but was never struck by the guest. The banned guest later left the location without any further incident. A report was taken and will be submitted to the Madera County
District Attorney’s Office.

Coarsegold threats and warrant arrest
On Friday, May 26 at 4:18 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a subject who had made threats about shooting someone. While investigating the incident the subject who supposedly made the threats was contacted and determined to have a felony warrant out of Fresno County. The subject was taken into custody and later turned over to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office for
booking.

Oakhurst suspicious person reported
On Friday, May 26 at approximately 3:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a suspicious person call on the 40000 Block of CA-41. A report was written.

Coarsegold theft 
On Friday, May 26 at 10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 43000 block of Trabuco Road regarding a report of a theft. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

North Fork possession arrest and release
On Saturday, May 27 at 1:57 a.m. a deputy conducted a check of a subject in the 54000 block of Road 200. The subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. All evidence was collected and later booked at the sheriff’s office. The subject was cited and released. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s office.

Oakhurst storage unit burglary
On Saturday, May 27 at 9:34 a.m. deputies responded to the area of the 40000 block of Winding Way for a burglary to a storage unit. A report was taken and closed until further investigative leads arise.

North Fork missing person reported
On Sunday, May 28 at 1:08 p.m. the Madera County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a telephonic report of a missing person from the area of Avenue 14 and Road 28. An investigation was completed and a report was written. Missing subject was later located out of county. Case closed.

Oakhurst burglary
On Sunday, May 28 at 5:21 a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of CA-41, in regards to a report of a burglary that had just occurred. The deputy conducted an investigation and noted that there appeared to be no damage to the storage trailer. The owner of the trailer could not remember the items taken. Case closed due to lack of investigative leads or evidence.

Oakhurst vehicle stop and warrant citation
On Sunday, May 28 at 11:53 p.m. a deputy self-initiated a vehicle stop conducted on the 40000 block of CA-49. The driver was found to have a $60,000 misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. Driver was arrested, cited then released. Case cleared by citation.
